How the NHS is Being Destroyed: An Insider’s Tale

Non-English speaking immigrant nurses have a direct role to play in the declining standards of NHS care, and anyone from the inside who dares to speak out is censured and threatened with dismissal.

These startling revelations were made by an NHS nurse with more than 18 years experience in the profession, in an exclusive interview (pictured) with BNP Tipton councillor Russel Green.

The nurse, who has to remain anonymous for her own protection, lifted the lid on the scandalous practices within the NHS which have caused standards all over the system to drop.

 ”Car parks have been sold, only to then charge visitors, including many seriously ill patients,” Nurse A said. “Catering has been privatised, taking much needed revenue from the system. However, what really upsets me,” she said, “is that the mismanagement and privatisation seems to be coupled with threats against anyone who mentions any shortfall in standards.

Nurse A helps supply food guidelines. Her job is to ensure there is a varied diet and vitamin intake amongst patients.

“Sadly, this is generally not adhered to,” she said. “Many patients with dementia and serious physical disabilities have been left for up to four days without being fed.

“This is widespread, and, coupled with the increased use of immigrant nurses and ward helpers, procedure is not followed as many are not familiar with it, and some can’t even speak English.”

A common feature in her ward of twenty four patients is that many are not even washed or fed regularly. Even medication is not administered, as communication with non-English speaking nurses makes this impossible.

One patient who had a permanent supply of oxygen administered via a timed hand injection by machine, was found to be “blown up” or bloated, as the oxygen had not been injected properly. This man died soon after.

Another patient died due to the actions of what was officially described as “untrained staff.” Nurses in this particular NHS institution are in agreement that many elderly people are dying due to “literally starving to death.”

When she complained, Nurse A was told that she was “causing trouble” and that she should seek work elsewhere.

“This state of affairs is shocking,” said councillor Green. “We need more brave NHS personnel like Nurse A to come forward with their stories, so that we can bring these serious problems to the public’s attention.

“This then is the state of the NHS after decades of Tory and Labour misrule. The only party which will turn this around by simply putting British people first, is the BNP.”

Is Immigration Building or Destroying the NHS?

There are those who say the NHS would collapse without Third World immigrant staff. The BNP would argue that Third World immigration is in fact destroying the NHS, bringing with it continuing issues of hygiene, superbugs and other problems.

The latest example has come with the suspension of a nurse from Nigeria for chatting on her mobile phone while carrying out a blood test.

Calista Ukaegbu (picture) is said to have used hand signals to tell the woman patient what to do because she was so engrossed in her conversation. When the patient made her displeasure clear she mouthed the word “sorry” but carried on with the call, it is claimed. She only stopped the conversation when a colleague walked in and made it clear that she should hang up.

The incident took place earlier this year, when an unnamed female patient in her thirties visited the hospital’s Women’s Department.

The woman needed to have a blood test and some measurements taken for some minor surgery that was due to take place at a later date.

She claims she was greeted by Nurse Ukaegbu who was talking on her mobile phone in a foreign language.

The nurse indicated that the woman should roll up her sleeve to allow her blood pressure to be taken. She then took the readings and later pointed to indicate that she should measure herself against a wall chart. The telephone conversation lasted for at least six minutes, it is alleged.

The patient is a relative of former newspaper editor and radio station owner Kelvin Mackenzie.

She does not want to be identified but Mr Mackenzie said “Incredibly, for six minutes this nurse held a social conversation on her mobile phone while indicating to my relative through hand signals what to do.

“All this went on while this nurse continued with her conversation with a friend… it was quite clear it was a social conversation from the tone of her voice. It was nothing to do with work.”

He added: “The conversation was in a foreign language — but that is irrelevant. I just cannot believe the nurse was concentrating on the job she was supposed to be doing whilst talking to a friend on the phone.”

Mr Mackenzie revealed that his relative had suffered from high blood pressure in the past and would have liked to ask questions about her recent reading. But this was denied her as the nurse continued with the conversation.

He said: “The mobile conversation only came to an end when another nurse came into the room and stood there looking at the nurse on the phone.

“The second nurse said nothing but effectively shamed the nurse into terminating the call and conversation.”

Details of the incident emerged just weeks after staff at the hospital were reminded of the ‘correct standards of behaviour’ when dealing with patients.

Nurse Ukaegbu is understood to have arrived in Britain from Nigeria and was qualified to work in British hospitals in March 2002. It is estimated that nearly 26 percent of NHS personnel are now of Third World origin.

NHS Shortfalls – But Your Money Goes to Bangladesh to “Fight Climate Change”

NHS funding shortfalls exist all over the country — but Britain pledged £75 million on Wednesday to “help Bangladesh fight the effects of climate change.”

Fact: In the South West of England, a funding shortfall is putting the lives of thousands of heart attack patients in the South West at risk because they are not receiving the proper care, a new report has revealed.

A lack of money for life-saving cardiac rehabilitation treatment means that more than half of all heart attack sufferers are missing out on vital life-saving treatment. Research by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) has found that only 47 percent of patients in the South West receive cardiac rehabilitation — the Government’s target is 85 percent.

Heart disease is one of the UK’s biggest killers and BHF campaigns officer John Bayly said: “It comes down to money. It is a national problem and in the end, it directly affects people’s health.”

Fact: Hospitals in Surrey have among the worst midwife shortages in the country, according to figures from the Royal College of Midwives (RCM). Guildford’s Royal Surrey County Hospital and Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust have the fewest number of midwives per 1,000 births in the whole of the South East.

The RCM, the professional and trade union organisation representing 95 percent of midwives, called for hundreds more to be recruited. It criticised regional health bosses for slashing maternity funding.   

Meanwhile, Britain’s International Development Secretary, Douglas Alexander, said the £75 million aid would help Bangladesh “protect its people further from impacts such as rising sea-levels, water-logged land and increased salinity.”

A British person visiting Poland who falls ill and requires hospital treatment will be deported back to the UK, while a Polish person falling ill in Britain qualifies for taxpayer-funded NHS services.

The Polish Government claims its deportation threat is legal and necessary to protect its citizens from infections from abroad.

Polish Home Ministry spokesman Witold Liwicki said: “We have a right to protect our citizens. We’re eliminating the threat of an epidemic.”

The Polish attitude is of course correct, and should be that of any healthy nation.

In fact, it is also BNP policy to stop the foreign scrounging and freeloading currently bringing the NHS to its knees.

The British Medical Association has recently warned that patients could be turned away from UK doctors’ surgeries because they have been swamped by Eastern Europeans.

The list of diseases meriting deportation from Poland includes tuberculosis, cholera, yellow fever, and SARS. Liwicki claimed Italy, the Czech Republic and Slovakia had introduced similar legislation.

The Polish authorities claim the new law is based on an EU directive which allows exceptions to the free movement of EU citizens, including cases where they represent a threat to public health.

But the small print of the legislation suggests that the Polish Government is trying to prevent non-Poles using its over-stretched health system.

The law says foreigners can be deported if they are a threat to public health but also where the country does not have the resources to treat them.

Three cheers for the Poles! Now, let Britain introduce a similar policy.

Foreign Patients Owe Millions to the NHS

Foreign patients are costing the NHS tens of millions of pounds by giving hospitals false identities and addresses, or even leaving the country in order to avoid paying for their treatment.

Senior hospital managers said overseas visitors were leaving hospitals with hefty bills by evading the system that is meant to ensure that those ineligible for free NHS care pay for treatment.

“A lot of people come to the UK and use the NHS when they aren’t entitled to its services and it’s hard to get the money back from them,” said a director of one of London’s biggest hospital trusts. “There are people who just turn up at A & E who could have been diagnosed in their own country with cancer or heart disease and either can’t get care or the quality of care they need at home.”

A senior executive at a Midlands hospital trust said: “Foreign patients use fake addresses and fake identities. They often come with a UK relative and look affluent and able to afford treatment. But when it comes to payment, the addresses are bogus; there’s no response to phone calls and the relative shrugs, saying that the patient has left the country.”

Foreign nationals from most countries outside the European Economic Area must prove that they have been resident in the UK for at least six months in order to qualify for free care. Their entitlement is checked using passports, utility bills and interviews.

However, a senior official at another London hospital admitted: “If you can’t prove that, we bill you - but after the event. We don’t throw you out on the street.”

The scale of the NHS’s losses over foreign and private patients is underlined in finance records for hospitals in London - where the problem is common - obtained under the Freedom of Information Act. Hospitals have written off bad debts of up to £3.5m each in the past five years, while individual patients have reneged on debts of up to £300,000.

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust abandoned efforts to recover £3.51m, of which £2.4m should have been paid by overseas visitors, while King’s College Hospital wrote off £2.46m, of which £1.57m was due from patients from abroad.

In 2006, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children wrote off £293,000 after giving what it called life-saving ’specialist paediatric treatment’ to a child from abroad.

The Patients’ Association claimed that patients who were being denied life-extending cancer drugs because of healthcare rationing were paying the price for the NHS’s inability to get a grip on the bad debt culture. “Allowing such huge sums to remain unrecovered means other patients lose out,” said the association’s Katherine Murphy.

Lambeth NHS Trust Accused of Racism After Closing Down Nonwhite-Only Mental Health Unit

A glimpse into the topsy-turvy liberal world where “whites-are-always-racist and non-whites-are-never-racist” has been afforded by a protest organised against a south London NHS Trust because it closed down an Asian-only mental health care unit.

The trust has been accused of “institutional racism” by mental health charities Lambeth and Southwark Mind. They say that by taking away the ”culturally specific weekly” meeting for more than 60 south Asian patients,” the South London, Maudsley NHS Trust (SLaM) is not “delivering racial equality.”

Now, imagine if SLaM had ever dared to have a white British “culturally specific” mental health group — we can bet that these same people would have been the first to scream “white racism” and “discrimination.”

So, listen to the logic: If whites dare to have anything which is exclusive, it is ‘racist’, but if non-whites have anything which is exclusive, it is not only ‘not racist’, but in fact it is racist to deny them the right to have racially exclusive organisations!

Truly, Monty Python could not make this stuff up.

SLaM is apparently guilty of “institutional racism” because the “current service does not provide integration as recognised by the Commission for Racial Equality and the users were not consulted about the loss of their service.”

The specialist drop-in service, started in 1989 and run by SLaM’s Amardeep team, enabled users to communicate in their own languages, eat Asian food and celebrate festivals. It was stopped in June 2007 due to lack of funding and SLaM’s policy to integrate its services. Following a campaign by the south Asian users, a member of the Amardeep team was restored to a general weekly drop-in afternoon.

However the users say they are suffering while there are still specific services for women and the African-Caribbean community as well.

Muslim Radiographer Quit NHS After Refusing to Adhere to Hygiene Standards

A Muslim radiographer has tried to whip up sympathy for her resignation from the NHS after she refused to bare her arms as required by official hygiene policy.

According to a sob-story article in today’s Daily Telegraph, the unnamed Muslim woman claims that she was “forced out of her job because she refused to bare her arms as required by NHS hygiene policy.”

Note the phrasing used by the Daily Telegraph: “she was forced out of her job” — the reality is that she refused to adhere to the basic demand to ensure that she was clean before working in a hospital.

She was told by bosses at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading that all staff must roll up their sleeves to the elbow. But the unnamed woman instead chose to quit, claiming she was forced out by discrimination over her religious beliefs, including the Islamic teaching that women should cover their bodies in public.

The NHS’s ‘bare below the elbows’ dress code was introduced in January in a bid to combat superbugs like Clostridium difficile and MRSA, which has increased directly proportionally to the number of Third Worlders employed by the NHS.

The woman, supplied to the hospital on June 16 by an agency, told the Daily Telegraph she wants to “prevent the policy from being universally applied, so other Muslim women do not experience the same trauma.”

Clare Edmondson, director of human resources at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Infection control is a major issue for hospitals across the NHS. We have an excellent track record in this area and to maintain this we have introduced a `bare below the elbows’ policy for all staff or agency employees working within clinical areas.”

“This policy was explained to her when she first started work at the Trust. We are therefore surprised that she has knowingly worked within the policy for seven weeks and only now has this been raised as an issue.”

Bizarrely, the Tory-supporting Daily Telegraph has attempted to present this story in a way designed to try and elicit sympathy for the Muslim radiographer, as if she is somehow another victim of “institutional racism” (which is the code word used by leftists to blame whites for non-white failure in any field).

BNP policy on the NHS is very clear:  Once a BNP government has saved billions of pounds by stopping the illegal war in Iraq; by halting all foreign aid sent to Third World nations who hate us; by halting the utterly bogus “asylum” racket; by halting the mass immigration invasion; then there will be more than enough money to pay decent living wages to British medical personnel to restaff the NHS.

The NHS was created with British taxpayer money, and a truly British government is therefore under an obligation to ensure that it first and foremost employs British-origin people. Once this is done, the welter of Third World-origin diseases and poor performance which currently plagues the NHS will vanish, and the NHS will return to the high standards it maintained before the immigration invasion started.

Whites to Blame Because Non-White NHS Staff are Unqualified and Responsible for 25% of Disciplinary Complaints

In yet another blatant “blame whites for non-white failure” smear, a taxpayer-funded “research organisation” has blamed whites in the NHS for the failure of non-whites to qualify for jobs and for their disproportionate participation in disciplinary matters.

Whites are to blame because non-white NHS staff are under qualified for the job, and are responsible for 25% of all disciplinary cases and bullying and harassment reports, according to the ultra-leftist anti-White Runnymede Trust, which describes itself as a “racial equality think tank.”

Basing its outrageous anti-white smear on official figures from several NHS Trusts, the Runnymede Trust says that although black and minority ethnic (BME) groups made up almost a third of applicants for jobs they only represented 16 percent of appointees.

Instead of drawing the logical conclusion — namely that these Third Worlders are simply under qualified for the jobs, the Runnymede Trust immediately accuses “white racism” of being the culprit.

Rob Berkeley, Runnymede Trust deputy director, told the Health Service Journal: “The patterns are broad enough to suggest it’s about institutional racism. The NHS has been slower to address it.”

“Although BME people comprise 15 percent of the (NHS) workforce, they are involved in more than half the bullying and harassment cases in the region’s mental health trusts,” the Health Services Journal article continued. “Overall, they are involved in 25 percent of disciplinary cases.”

Note once again the instant anti-white bias at work. BME staff are involved in 25% of all disciplinary cases, so therefore whites are to blame. This twisted logic applies whenever BME failings are made public: it is never the BME communities’ fault, but rather always the fault of whites one way or another.

The Runnymede report called for “more efforts to be made to ensure equality” — in other words, for even more anti-white hiring practices to be put in place, where non-white applicants who are not qualified for the positions are “fast-tracked” simply because of their race and not because of what their level of competency might be.

The Runnymede Trust is supported by British taxpayer money through the offices of the Commission for Racial Equality, the Department for Children, Schools and Families, the Department for Communities and Local Government, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council, the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister (Northern Ireland), the European Commission (ENAR).

In addition, the following private institutions or charities also financially support the Runnymede Trust: the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation; the City Parochial Foundation; Connect Youth Fund; Connecting Communities Plus Strategic Grants Programme; Esmee Fairbairn Foundation; Friends Provident Charitable Foundation; GMC Trust; Heritage Lottery Fund; Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust; Joseph Rowntree Foundation; Lloyds TSB Foundation; Methodist Racial Justice Project Fund; Paul Hamlyn Foundation; P Holt Charitable Trust; Robert Gavron Charitable Trust; and the Wyseliot Charitable Trust.

Bogus Asylum Invader Has Brought Deadly, Incurable, Super TB to Britain

A bogus Somali asylum invader, who has crossed at least seven safe countries before landing here to parasite off the British taxpayer, has been admitted to a Leeds hospital suffering from the dread, incurable and untreatable, drug-resistant super-tuberculosis.

Extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis (XDR-TB), or XDR TB, is common in the Third World, and in countries where health programmes have either failed or are busy collapsing.

The bogus asylum invader is the first person to be diagnosed in Britain with the disease. Incredibly, his case was picked up in Glasgow in January but a court order detaining him in hospital for treatment lapsed after his condition stabilised and he travelled south to Leeds, West Yorks. There he was admitted to the Accident and Emergency unit within 24 hours of arriving.

It remains unclear if his application for asylum, made when he arrived in the UK last year, has been successful but the bill for treatment, which would run into tens of thousands of pounds a year — is being picked up by the NHS in Leeds — in other words, the taxpayer, who has already had to shell out thousands for the asylum process as well.

XDR TB poses a worldwide threat amid major concerns over increasing resistance of tuberculosis to antibiotics which originally proved highly effective against the illness. The World Health Organisation has warned that if the strain becomes established, it could lead to a TB epidemic leaving few options for treatment.

Immigration Destroying the NHS: First Maternity Ward Closes as NHS Buckles Under Invader Birth Rate

The first — as of yet unnamed — maternity ward at a NHS hospital has been forced to shut its maternity ward for two months because staff were needed elsewhere to deliver babies from foreign-born mothers, it has been announced.

The immigration invasion has reached such heights that maternity wards have been forced to turn away expectant white British mothers because they cannot cope with soaring demand from immigrants.

An investigation by the BBC found the cost of providing maternity services for immigrants has more than doubled in only a decade to £350 million a year.

Guy Goodwin of the Office of National Statistics said: “It is clear that yesterday’s migrants as well as today’s migrants are now contributing to the net population growth we are seeing.”

High immigration has increased the number of women of childbearing age in the UK, with those aged 15 to 44 up 2% since 2001.

The number of babies born to UK-born mothers has risen by 6% in six years, to reach 529,700.

By contrast the figure for immigrant mothers leapt by 64% from 97,900 to 160,300 over the same period – accounting for two thirds of the overall increase in the nation’s birth rate.

The soaring birth rate among immigrant mothers will soon become the main driver of Britain’s rapid population growth, Government experts have predicted.

Immigration has been the biggest factor in increasing the population in recent years, and with millions of new arrivals starting families the birth rate is soaring.

The Office for National Statistics said yesterday that it could be the main source of overall population growth as early as next year, overtaking immigration itself.

Almost a quarter of all babies in Britain are now born to immigrant mothers. In London the figure is 54%, rising to 75% in some boroughs.

Foreign-born mothers have an average of 2.54 children, compared with 1.79 for women born in the UK.

In most cases a baby born in the UK acquires automatic citizenship if one parent holds a UK passport, although rules are complex. If parents have settled in Britain legally, children can secure British citizenship within a few years.

A record number of immigrants settled in the UK in the year to June 2007, topping 600,000 for the first time and helping push Britain’s population to a new high of 60,975,000, a rise of almost two million in six years.

The immigration rate of 605,000  –  double the figure when Labour came to power  –  means that on average 1,650 newcomers are settling here every day.

There are currently 6.3 million people in the UK who were born abroad – well over 10% of the population, and 1.1 million more than in 2004.

Announcing the figures, Government statisticians singled out the number of babies born to immigrants as a significant trend. It threatens to put even more pressure on public services, with schools and hospitals already struggling to cope.

A report published earlier this month revealed that one in eight pupils speaks English as a second language.
