This Sunday the Revd Robert West preaches on the first chapter of the Acts of the Apostles in which he deals with: what an apostle is; the misguided questions which they still put to the risen Lord Jesus and His answer to them - to abide where He had been crucified until they had been endued with power from on High; and, lastly, the messy business which had to be cleared-up from the apostle who had betrayed the Messiah, Judas. As a result they achieved a spirit of one accord in the way of duty and truth, and the Spirit came down in that very town where the Son of God had recently been rejected and crucified. The same can happen today. Christians need to be faithful to their Lord, and not betray Him or His truth; only then will God hear and answer prayer.
