By Steve Squire, London and Eastern Regional Organiser – Local activist Sam Mayhew and his team have been hard at work in Thurrock recently preparing the ground there for the local May elections.

Over 4,000 leaflets so far have been distributed by this energetic team of young stoics.

These young lads have already impressed me with their mature outlook and dedication. I'm satisfied that their dedication will pay off and the people of Thurrock will be very satisfied with them as their representatives.

Meanwhile, our East London activists were out again this Saturday, when they delivered a further 3,000 leaflets door to door in Harold Hill.

The team of 10 activists managed this in a 3 hour session, which considering that this part of Harold Hill is a very difficult terrain for activists on foot was an excellent afternoon of work, and by the end everyone was tired but energised for doing the session.

Continuing the theme of regular activism across our capital city, teams of activists were out in Bexley Heath, New Addington and Barnet over the course of the weekend.
