From Paul Borg, Newham Contact
Instead of the traditional end of year table top in Romford market, London activists took to the streets of Barking, East London on Saturday 29th December, for a very good reason.
Some weeks ago we reported that whilst manning a table-top in Dagenham, East London, we were approached by Labour Councillor Darren Rodwell who was appalled that not only were we still active in the area, but also that we were petitioning for a ban on the use of forced Halal meat in local schools and colleges.
This prompted Rodwell and his undemocratic left-wing fascist council to raise the number of signatories for acceptable petitions from 100 to 1,500 in an attempt to thwart our efforts.
Angry at this decision, local organiser Paul Sturdy and several activists took to the streets of Barking to hand out the excellent ‘Taking Our Country Back’ leaflets.
Undeterred by the fact that Barking has become an ethnic majority town the activists were determined to show that, no matter what, they will never give up on the area.
Said local organiser Paul Sturdy “we got a number of dirty looks and some sneers but we chose to just ignore it and get on with the job in hand.
If fascist left-wing councils think that they are going to stop us by moving the goal posts to suit them then they can think again.
My team of activists, like the many we have all over the country, are determined and will never give in.”
In the coming weeks London BNP will be on the streets of Barking and Dagenham to collect the required number of signatures and distribute literature.
