South Tyneside held its March meeting on the 13th of March
Turn out was high and a healthy amount of funds were raised including a generous donation from one of our regular members.
The meeting was chaired by Peter Foreman, who did a fine job of organising the many speakers throughout the evening.
It was announced that
Chris Thornton is now the regional organiser for the second time, having taken the reins from Peter Molloy who is now committed to fighting local elections in the Durham region, and is also committed to the Veterans group.
South Tyneside Branch Members wish to thank Peter for his good work, and we know he is a dedicated and valued member of the party.
Chris is not alone this time though; he is being assisted by one of our valued North Tyneside members, Lady Dorothy Brooke who has now being appointed Deputy RO.
It was good to see our younger members involved; we were honoured to have a speech from our YBNP member Tasha who spoke about the forced diversity lessons given to the college students.
This was followed by another young member Aaron who gave an informative talk about the Bedroom tax. Along with the usual local speakers and the raffle and buffet, it was a most enjoyable evening.
Martin Vaughan South Tyneside fund holder can now confirm our next meeting is to be held on St Georges Day, the 23rd of April when we have a very special guest Speaker arranged.
It has also being suggested that all members and guests dress in red and white for the occasion, but no football tops thank you, this is about our Country, our Freedom and our Honour, NOT Football.
As usual, all are welcome.
