Blackpool branch played host to British National Party Chairman and NW MEP Nick Griffin on Tues 29th May.
A packed venue heard party stalwart Dave Blezard open the meeting with a quick run down on the branch finances, then several other topics followed by branch organiser Brian Hunter who covered everything from his attending the Bristol Olympic torch ceremony to the trials at Leeds Crown Court where many of the meeting attendees were regular faces outside the court on many cold, wet days.
After the interval Nick Griffin took the stage to loud applause and spoke at length about many subjects with the main one being the "grooming" problem we have in our country and the things we will be doing about it over the coming months.
June the 9th will see a joint demonstration organised by the new campaign group ProFam, which will involve many Nationalists demanding a retrial of the men the police and many others regard as the people responsible for the rape and murder of Charlene Downes.
Monday the 11th will see the start of a trial at Burnley Crown Court of 6 Muslim men accused of the grooming of young white British girls, again we will be joining with other groups on the day to bring this to the public’s attention.
Nick then went on to hold a short question and answer session and thank everyone for attending, before spending a good hour meeting the members and posing for pictures with them.
Brian told the news team that he would like to thank everybody who had turned up and made it a special evening and included members and friends old and new.
Thank you Brian for putting on a night to remember.
