Thursday the 26th January saw a highly productive meeting of key Cumbrian activists, who met to plan the upcoming Carlisle elections.
The meeting was hosted and chaired by Paul Stafford, the Cumbrian organiser, who presided over these lively discussions.
Everyone in attendance agreed that leafleting for the target Carlisle wards would begin in earnest in the next week with a first round drop of the brand new ‘heat or eat’ leaflets, which everyone agreed were a great eye-catching new product.
It was also decided that table-top stalls would begin again for the New Year, as well as plans to blanket leafleting many of the tourist towns, with Keswick being the first place on the list.
Once decisions had been finalised regarding activities over the coming months, the floor was opened up for any other issues, and a lively debate was had regarding image, and how pleased the activists present are with the new party logo, and the phenomenal response that this logo is now given on the streets by the general public.
