From Our Chief Lincolnshire Correspondent
Plans for England's 4th largest onshore wind factory farm have been given the green light directly by this inept and misguided Tory Government.
Ed Davey, Secretary of State for this discredited Lib Con coalition in the last 48 hours has approved proposals by Ecotricity to construct up to 22 Wind Turbines [pictured] at rural beautiful Heckington Fen near Sleaford in Lincolnshire.
The British National Party have robustly campaigned against this abomination on the grounds of the damage which will be caused to the historic fenland environment.
Our objections were echoed by individual councillors, locals, parish councils, North Kesteven District Council, Lincolnshire County Council's policy document and Boston Borough Council.
This announcement as predicted on this website in an early January report by The Lincolnshire Coastal Branch comes despite a surge in local opposition with a recent survey of residents showing that 90% backed the Party's tough stance against onshore power.
The North Kesteven District Council's planning committee turned down the vast proposed application a year ago and this decision overriding the public view in the first week of February is an anti democratic disgrace due to the level of objection that exists.
This devastating news is confirmation, if it were needed, that as per the Party's January website Lincolnshire story a situation exists where in Lincolnshire these vast structures will decimate the local environment. It is madness and our environment is being ravaged.
The British National Party are gaining new, active and sustainable support in Lincolnshire as our policies are liked. This in contrast to the local North Kesteven District Council who have caused widespread anger as they have announced that from April 1 residents will have to pay a £25 Service Charge per annum in order that their green waste can be collected fortnightly.
Proof if it were needed that the introduction of 'service charges' is another method of increasing revenue from hard pressed families whilst claiming to be 'Green '.
The people of Lincolnshire are worried. To become involved in our campaign and to approve of our policy of No more Wind Farms contact the Branch at local level to help participate this Spring.
More importantly has the time not come for you as you are reading this to join the British National Party as a member ?
