By South London Sub Regional Organiser, Mike Jones-I am pleased to announce that our 2010 parliamentary candidate for the Beckenham constituency Roger Tonks, has taken up the position of organiser in the Bromley & Lewisham area, along with hardworking activist Jill Jones who has offered to fill the role of fundholder.
Roger is looking forward to the challenge of building our party in Bromley & Lewisham and I would like to welcome both him and Jill onto the team of London British National Party officers.
We relaunched the branch with a meeting on Monday 30th July in Bromley, south east London.
Local members and supporters (including several new recruits) listened to party leader Nick Griffin MEP give a very interesting talk that covered several topics of our party's policies.
Nick then explained a different way forward in terms of campaigning on the streets, with a new approach that will show ordinary people that we are the only organisation that will fight against political correctness and stand up for the rights of the indigenous people of Britain who are currently being bullied by the powers that be.
After an hour long speech, Nick answered questions from the audience for another forty minutes or so.
During the break, our prolific postal vote harvester Gary James signed up another batch of supporters onto PVs.
Branch meetings are an ideal opportunity to sign up and provide postal vote forms to members and supporters who can take them away to BNP supporting relatives, friends and work colleagues in order to build our very own effective block of postal voters.
After the break and a splendid buffet (thanks Nicola for feeding us at every local meeting) our London 2012 mayoral candidate Carlos Cortiglia told the crowd of how barriers with the media were broken down during the London campaign.
He then informed everyone of how the British National Party works hard 24/7 and not just at election times.
A total of £331.00 was raised on the night from paper sales, the raffle and collection.
