Manchester, Salford, Tameside, Stockport, Burnley, St Helens and Liverpool British National Party Members and Organisers joined Irish Loyalists, and other Nationalist groups, in Manchester City Centre to show solidarity to our brothers and sisters in Belfast.
Many of the nationalists had been out week after week protesting over the decision to remove the Union flag from flying over the Town Hall.
In a non- political day of action, a massive show of strength with no opposition was displayed from various Nationalist groups belonging to the Greater Manchester area.
They all joined in a peaceful protest outside the city Town Hall, in response to the removal of the Union Flag from Belfast Council buildings.
British National Party acting Regional Organiser Gary Tumulty tells the BNP website, “It was nice to see so many nationalists stand shoulder to shoulder on this issue.
The decision in Belfast to remove the flag is out of order, and the flag of our country must be flown with pride. We are not here today for any Party political cause, but to show solidarity because, as I see things - Belfast first, where next?”
