By Henri MacDonald, a London Education Officer-Despite near zero temperatures with a cold wind, and some delays to local train services, Bexley BNP members were out in force on Saturday, delivering copies of the “I Love GB” leaflet.
Volunteers divided into two groups to cover as much ground as possible, and worked their way through some of streets where we are most popular.
Among the volunteers was one Party member, who despite having been a member for several years, had never been out leafleting before.
Over two and a half hours, 1500 leaflets were delivered.
They were generally well received, with some positive feedback from passers’ by.
Various local people were pleased to see us, and encouraged us to continue with our work.
Bexley BNP members are willing to brave cold conditions to bring our message to our local areas, unlike other parties.
As we concluded our afternoon we spoke to a local man who had been happy to receive a leaflet and agreed to take a photograph for us.
Mike said afterwards “It was a good afternoon, we delivered a lot of leaflets and we are always pleased to welcome a new member to a Day of Action”.
Anyone interested in joining their local group for a Day of Action should contact their regional organiser or members in Bexley or south London should contact Mike Jones on 07908 649 362
