Beloved Teresa May has now set out plans for monitoring Internet use in Great Britain. The plan will also cover monitoring personal e-mails, texts, Internet phone calls and website activity with records of these activities being kept.
By Northenscot-Already there has been enormous backlash from Civil Liberty groups, other Tories as well as this British National Party article here, and by many political commentators in the UK.
The plan is gussied under the classic words`to deter terrorists`and major criminals. We are also told by this out of touch Tory government, that law abiding British citizens have nothing to worry about.
Do you believe that?
Teresa May told BBC breakfast TV “It’s not about content;it’s not about not about reading peoples e-mails or listening to their telephone calls.
"This is purely about the who, when and where made these communications and it's about ensuring we catch criminals and stop terrorists."
HM Revenue and Customs will be able to also access data under these proposals.
We in the British National Party understand that evil people like terrorist and major criminals do need monitoring, that is good practise. However,it would seem that no one will be safe from big brother Cameron’s plans.
It is clear that legal law abiding political parties, like the British National Party, will be a major target to snoop on,simply because we do not agree with the multicultural madness and our anti EU position.
Our Party keeps its actions and activities within the law, which is important. We have seen already activists houses raided or members arrested, then to be released with no charge.
Our rallies are treated like dangerous events, instead of a legal gathering of law abiding concerned citizens.Wouldn’t it be so easy to say that we the British National Party were a danger to social cohesion and therefore access all your personal contacts, text messages etc,all the time? Did Mr Putin write this Communications Data Bill?
He certainly would be proud of it.The government could have a legalised field day if this Bill gets through Parliament. These proposals need to be rewritten, protecting legal democratic political parties from snooping by Police and government agencies.
Please,Theresa May,do catch those evil Muslim terrorists,we are right behind you on that.London is known to be the home of a fair few extremist Muslim groups.
We believe organised crime should be defeated where possible. We support catching those who treat our young children so horribly. However,we are of belief that these proposals will be used against law abiding British citizens who dare think outside the bubble. Will it mean those who are anti-mass-immigration will be monitored with these new proposals, you bet.
Does it mean, for example,anti-nuclear protesters will have tabs kept on them? You bet. Vote Labour/Tory/LibDem,go to work, keep your head down and say nothing.
Then you have nothing to worry about. These proposals require much more legal safeguards, protecting democratic groups, organisations and the general public.
It seems quite bizarre, that when Labour tried to push for such ideas, both the Conservatives and Lib Dems campaigned against such.
The then shadow Home Secretary, Chris Grayling said the government had “built a culture of surveillance which goes beyond counter-terrorism and serious crime”
