By Sam Mayhew-11 British National Party activists gathered in Romford on Saturday to stage a protest outside the Bull pub for its refusal to serve the home coming Royal Anglian Regiment.
This is an absolute outrage that people who risk their lives in service of this country are treated in such a way.
Local organiser Mick Braun was quick off the mark to organise the protest and a huge impact was made with 2000 leaflets given out and the megaphone proved an invaluable tool in drawing people over to us calling for a boycott of the pub.
The public were overwhelmingly in support of the protest, many showing their disgust and vowing never to drink in the pub again, even the local market traders were proudly displaying their support by pinning our literature to the stalls.
We were also successful in deterring people entering the pub who quickly made the moral decision to turn around and drink or eat elsewhere.
With the hard work British National Party activists put in, taking direct action in their communities we can make a difference locally.
We hope that today we have been able to make this place think twice and indeed all Public Houses by showing that this is just not acceptable and will not go unnoticed or unchallenged.
