By Clive Jefferson: British National Party volunteers spring into action to help our more senior members during this heavy snow and cold weather.
Over the weekend we have opened our call centre and everyone is ringing up our more senior members to see if they are safe, warm and have hot food etc during this brutal cold snap.
This has become our now standard practice whenever the weather turns so bad lives are at risk and we have been inundated with staff members and local activists all volunteering their time to call our elderly members.
We are asking our members if they are trapped - snowed in - and cannot leave their homes and if they have cars that need digging out, doors and paths cleared, or if they need basic food supplies and vitally if they still have power to their home and once we have a request for assistance if humanly possible we are sending one of our local officials or a local member round to assist.
If your are a British National Party member please remember - "We really are just a phone call away" - 0844 809 4581
Clive Jefferson, National Treasurer said: "This is an initiative started by our Chairman and it was again Nick that instructed Head Office to start calling our people and Mr Griffin was delighted to find that preparations were already underway and that no staff costs would be incurred as everyone insisted on doing this task voluntarily."
In this society it is a sad fact that the British people are losing their sense of community and civic duty but we in the British National Party have not, and we are calling on all British National Party members, activists and supporters to be pro-active, you know who your more vulnerable members are, give them a ring, or better yet just call round and check on them, make sure of the basics - that they are warm, have a hot drink and food, and have access to get from their houses.
British National Party Chairman, Nick Griffin said "Let us not stop with just BNP members, although it is right and proper to see to our own family, friends and party members welfare first, once we have done that I would ask every single member and supporter of the British National Party to call on any elderly folk you know living next door or on your street, your good deed for the day will no doubt be as simple as going round for a chat and a nice cup of tea and that will be much appreciated I am sure.
But your visit could also be the difference of life or death today and it is our duty to help out all we can during these dreadful cold snaps."
