You will be aware of the battle being waged against the British National Party by various anti-British political police forces across the country.

This week we have some great news relating to the trumped up charges against our National Treasurer and frontline activist Cllr Clive Jefferson.

First a reminder of Cllr Jefferson's arrest which took place last July:

Because of your support we were able to instruct a superb legal team and we can announce that after bombarding the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and Merseyside police with case law and requests for disclosure of further evidence, the CPS have now notified us that they are not continuing with the case.

A formal not guilty verdict will now be entered.

Cllr Jefferson does not have to attend court for trial on 10th September, the matter is now officially discontinued.

This is a real victory for our activists and supporters and would not have been possible if it was not for the support and generous donations of you all.

The truth of the matter is that as a law abiding political party, we DO have the right of political freedom, to have, hold and impart political ideas and literature on the streets of our nation, BUT it is also clear that we have to fight for that right!

The fight back will now go into the next phase as we now turn our attention to reclaiming the legal costs of this farce, and also pushing for compensation for the wrongful arrest and imprisonment of Cllr Jefferson.
