New Bulgarian party signs up with Nick Griffin, Jean-Marie Le Pen and the other true nationalists of Europe.
When the Alliance of European Nationalist Movements shocked the Eurocrats by crossing the threshold to get back for nationalist voters what Bruno Gollnisch memorably terms "the patriots’ tax rebate", the controlled media claimed that it wouldn't last.
Since then the opposition have worked very hard behind the scenes to try to scare off our peel away one or two adherents in order to break the Alliance.
But it hasn’t worked. In order to receive its share of the €20 Million funding pot that the old parties created (and take from the unfortunate taxpayer whether we are there or not), the Alliance must secure each year the signatures of regional, national or European parliament MPs from at least seven countries.
Bulgarian patriots
We are delighted to announce that the AENM has now secured another one, with the decision of Dimitar Stoyanov and his National Democratic Party to join the Alliance.
The Bulgarian National Democratic Party is the most promising and properly, sensibly, nationalist parties to emerge from the collapse of the old Ataka party, for which Mr. Stoyanov was elected as the youngest member of Bulgarian Parliament in 2005.
He was first elected to the European Parliament in 2007 and re-elected in 2009. "Dimitar is a charismatic young man who is one of the most effective parliamentarians there is. He uses his knowledge of procedure to great effect in plenary sessions, with devastating points of order and interventions," says Nick Griffin.
"We have already spoken about ways in which the Alliance can help the new party establish itself as a long-term force in Bulgarian politics.
Although, as nationalists, we are of course primarily concerned with matters in our own country, it is obvious that we must also work together.
Shared values
"We share vital core values, particularly opposition to the anti-democratic federal European project, a determination to protect our countries and our civilisation from mass immigration and Islamisation, and the belief that strong and sovereign national governments are necessary to protect our peoples from the corporate exploitation and financial looting that come with globalisation.
Together, we can offer a real and positive alternative."
