By Northernscot-Controversial church minister Reverend Poobalan, who was brought up in India surrounded by Islam, is standing defiant against a barrage of complaints that have been posted to him on his Facebook page, concerning his allowing a Muslim group to use the church up to five times a day.
There was no mention of the church website receiving complaints.
Reverend Poobalan is not concerned over the comments left by Christians and other members of the public and will continue to allow the hundreds of Muslims access, even to use the main chapel.
One comment left read that the church was “sharing Christ’s table with Satan” another predicted a “flood” of Muslims moving to Aberdeen to convert the church into a mosque and suggested Poobalan be given the “boot”.
Another posted comment said “I would leave this so called” church. Allah is Satan, and no God. They, the church have nothing to say about persecuted Christians, but invite Satan in.”
Poobalan is reported to have said that he will not sever his relationship with the nearby Crown Street mosque. He also is reported by the press as saying “I keep seeing these Facebook comments coming up on my e-mail account, but I will not back down.
We have developed a relationship with the mosque and we will not be breaking that up.”
One person left the comment criticising Poobalan for being a Good Samaritan to just be “liked” and said there was nothing “courageous” in his actions.
Clearly this church minister is blinded in his actions.
It is actions like his that have been the one of the reasons why so many people are leaving the old established churches in Scotland and England, and crossing over to join churches that would never allow such use, to a religion of conquest.
Simply churches like Poobalan’s have lost the way and are happy to tie the knot in the rope for the hangman.
Is it time for the Episcopal Church in Crown Terrace, Aberdeen to move on Poobalan to somewhere else quickly?
