The Modern-Day Domesday Book – Now Available in 56 Languages

By Cllr Clive Jefferson – The original Domesday Book is the record of the great survey of much of England and parts of Wales completed in 1086, executed for William the Conqueror. The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle tells us that in 1085, "William had deep speech with his counsellors and sent men all over England to each shire to find out what or how much each landholder had in land and livestock, and what it was worth."

Nine hundred and twenty-five years later, and today's Domesday Book has evolved into what we know as the Census. We will have all received our 2011 census questionnaire this week, and what a document it is! On reading it, the first thing that struck me was the statement on the cover:

"The census collects information about the population every ten years. You need to take part so that services in your area – like schools, hospitals, roads and even emergency services – can be planned and funded for the future."

In larger letters, it states, "Your census response is required by law."

So our modern Domesday Book is still a draconian piece of bureaucracy that we cannot refuse. Some things never change, but what has changed beyond any previous generation’s wildest nightmares is the language of this inquiry.

In our helpful guidance notes on a page entitled "Talking your language”, we are told that the census must be completed in English or Welsh. There would be no problem except for the next section, which tells the reader that the document can be supplied in "your own language" and goes on to list an incredible 56 languages that the 2011 census has been translated into. Not only that but also each language has its very own dedicated help line to call to talk to someone in that language.

What an incredible wake-up call to each one of us this is and what a disgraceful waste of our money. I have sent a Freedom of Information demand today to the Office of National Statistics to find out exactly how much this politically correct madness has cost us. In a period of supposed austerity and sweeping cuts in essential services, this huge black hole of a money pit – the translation of all official documents and the employment of translators in up to 56 different languages – is the most blatant hypocrisy of the current Government.

However, I digress. The main reason for my writing this article about the census is not the actual translation services and their cost: it is a far deeper and ultimately more dangerous fact.

The reality is that the 2011 census is indeed our modern day Domesday Book. It is set to play its part in the wholesale destruction of our way of life, our traditions, our very language and identity, because in increasingly large swathes of "our country", English is not the dominant language, Christianity is not the dominant religion and the 2011 Domesday Book will show the true extent of the ongoing colonisation of our country by a increasingly numerous and increasingly hostile immigrant population.

The politicians will then use the data to "plan and fund" the local services to pander to the immigrant population centres in their never-ending betrayal of the British people.

More than ever before, the British National Party is needed to focus the mounting resistance to the destruction of our way of life. The 2011 Domesday Book must be remembered in our history not as the document that confirmed and accelerated our decline but as the document that motivated the British Nationalists to halt and then reverse the politically motivated destruction of our land and its people.

The future is being decided today, and it is today that you are needed in this fight. We are fast approaching a time when tomorrow will be too late, so join us now on the front line of this epic struggle.
