The British National Party is to launch a set of specialist policy study groups to develop policy and expand the party’s ideological basis, it has been announced.
The 20 specialist groups, loosely based around current government cabinet portfolios, will have as their ultimate aim the creation of party experts and spokesmen in the different fields.
Before that stage is reached, the BNP talent which already exists in each particular field must be identified and co-ordinated into proper study groups.
It is intended that each study group will acquire its own online discussion forum open only to that group’s members. These forums will provide the springboard for policy formulation and eventual policy documents which can be presented to the party’s annual conferences.
The study group areas which have been identified as vital are as follows:
Political and constitutional reform
Foreign and Commonwealth affairs
Finance
Justice
Home Department (includes immigration and asylum)
Women and Equality
Defence
Business, Innovation and Skills
Work and Pensions
Energy and Climate Change
Health
Education
Communities and Local Government
Transport
Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
Northern Ireland
Scotland
Wales
Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport
Universities and Science
The party would like to formally invite members with either theoretical or practical qualifications, work experience or interest in any of these topics, to register themselves as study group members by submitting their details via email to specialists @ bnp.org.uk.
Please send your name, contact details, membership number, your area of interest and your experience, qualifications or reason for interest in the topics of your choice.
This is your chance to help shape party policy and possibly become one of the public faces of the BNP.
