The Bexley branch of the British National Party has not let up in its campaign to have all British troops withdrawn from the illegal war in Afghanistan, and has yet again taken to the streets to gather signatures, reports organiser Mike Jones.
“We had yet another highly successful day in Crayford as we set up our by now regular table top 'bring our boys home' stall,” Mr Jones said.
“Hundreds of leaflets were handed out, many signatures obtained and we completely ran out of Voice of Freedom newspapers.
“The public has been very receptive to our message and as a result, we will continue with this popular campaign for many weeks to come,” Mr Jones promised.
“Not even a brief downpour of rain could dampen the activist’s enthusiasm, and a kindly shop-owner came out to pull down the canopy to keep us dry when the rain came down.
“Thanks to all the local members that have helped with the campaign over last couple of months,” Mr Jones added. “See you on the streets of Bexley next week!”
