The motion was presented to the Conference by the North East region after being proposed by South Tyneside fundholder Martin Vaughn.

Dear Mr. Thompson, I'm writing to you personally rather than the producer of Panorama because although the forthcoming programme is the immediate issue, it shines a light on the bigger picture of BBC bias against the British National Party. This is so extensive and has gone on for so long that it is clearly no longer a question for individual producers as much as it is for you as the individual who is ultimately responsible. It is also a question for you as it seems at odds with what you have said publicly.
