By Jennifer Matthys – More than 48,000 immigrants from Libya and Tunisia have arrived in Italy since the beginning of the year, their Interior Minister Roberto Maroni announced on Monday. The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) said 52,000 people had arrived in Italy from North Africa since the start of the year. 

Nick Griffin and Forza Nuova leader Roberto Fiore both gave speeches at a demonstration in Sicily last week, on the front line of the immigration invasion from North Africa.

By Jennifer Matthys – Thousands of North African immigrants are swamping the tiny Italian island of Lampedusa, but Italian nationalists have done what their government has failed to do and come to the aid of local people. 

As well as the human and financial cost of the immoral Libyan War, the conflict is also resulting in increased numbers of immigrants fleeing North Africa for Southern Europe. 

It is not the job of European nations to rescue North Africans from their own governments or to send our troops there to be killed, British National Party MEP for Yorkshire and the Humberside has told the European Parliament.
