Most of us have become used to the almost daily appeals from Africa concerning famine, drought or some other catastrophe. It has become so engrained within the controlled media that UK news channels actually carry a rolling script detailing where and how to send donations. However, here is one aspect of African tragedy that you will certainly not be seeing on your television sets. 

By James North – On tonight's show: David Chaytor, the first MP jailed over the parliamentary expenses scandal, has been released from prison after serving just a quarter of his 18-month sentence. Mr Chaytor falsely claimed more than £22,000 of taxpayers' money. 

The invasion of Afghanistan by British and American troops is an obvious breach of international law and those politicians who arranged and supported it must be held liable for their actions as war criminals.
