By Patrick Harrington – Anyone listening to the Radio 4 today programme on Tuesday or Wednesday morning could be forgiven for assuming that the climax of the loyalist marching season in Ulster had degenerated into widespread disorder and violence across the province. 

Northern Ireland British National Party activists were out in force in the market town of Ballyclare, County Antrim, on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning last weekend. 

Party activists from the Caerphilly and Cardiff regions were out delivering over 500 of Nick Griffin's EU ReferendumNOW leaflets to residents of the recession-hit village of Talbot Green, South Wales, on Sunday. 

The last of the British National Party’s Way Forward meetings took place recently in Larne, Northern Ireland, where around 30 activists gathered to give their input into how our party can move forward collectively. 

The people of Larne expressed their anger at David Cameron’s broken promises on Europe today as they signed Nick Griffin’s ReferendumNOW petition to get us out of the EU. 

Wales Regional Secretary Michael Green has vowed that the targeted anti-democratic destruction of British National Party banners by political opponents won’t affect the party’s positive Welsh Assembly campaign. 

Royal Mail dump 400 of our Welsh Local Assembly election leaflets in the back garden of one of our candidates and then tell us it would be “unfair” on the other parties to give us a second delivery slot!

Activity as usual on the streets of Wales this weekend included a successful town centre tabletop stall, meeting the public and leafleting in Merthyr Tydfil, as well as further leafleting teams out in the Blaenau Gwent, Swansea and Bridgend areas, reports Welsh regional organiser Brian Mahoney.
