By Jennifer Matthys – With figures released by the Department of Education this week showing that at least 8,000 young girls, whom the authorities know about, and, more importantly, admit to, are each year forced against their will into marriage, it seems that slavery is still very much in existence in modern Britain. 

British National Party councillors, officials and activists across the country commemorated the memory of our fallen heroes on Remembrance Sunday. Members laid wreaths at their local cenotaphs, partook in military parades and sold poppies for the Royal British Legion. Many were kind enough to send in photos and reports of the ceremonies they attended.

An illegal immigrant who committed a string of crimes after sneaking into the UK has been handed a £17,360 payout by a judge. Joseph Mjemer, 28, arrived here as a stowaway, committed more than 20 offences, used at least five aliases, and claimed to be from four different countries. But Judge Stephen Stewart QC awarded him the money for a ‘loss of liberty’ after he was jailed for four months to stop him absconding before deportation.
