There was fierce but friendly competition between the Allerdale secretary and the Copeland organiser – super activists and cllrs Dawn Charlton and Malcolm Southward – to see who could collect the most applications. With this month’s meeting on home turf for the Allerdale secretary, there was a definite advantage, as most of the members of the public present were voters from the Allerdale borough.
