By A Patriot – The Duke of Wellington is a title almost synonymous with Arthur Wellesley, the holder of that title who has been remembered throughout history as the victor of Waterloo. Like his contemporary, Lord Cardigan, his name has also been lent to his own invention – the wellington boot. This is the story of the man whose courage and determination prevented Great Britain from succumbing to the heel of the invader.
