Update with Video: BNP Trounce All Comers in Boston Borough Council By-Election

David Owens, British National Party by-election candidate in the Fenside ward seat on the Boston Borough Council, Lincolnshire, has beaten all comers, piling up more votes than the Tories, Labour, Lib-Dems and UKIP combined.
The incredible result, achieved on a 22.1 percent turnout in Thursday’s election, saw Mr Owens (image) cruise to a comfortable win with 279 votes. The second placed candidate was an independent, who polled 141 votes. Next came the Tories, with 119 votes, Labour with 64 votes, UKIP with 24 votes and the Lib-Dems with 23 votes.
“The BNP campaign was fought on national issues, and on immigration in particular,” said Councillor Wayne McDermott, the BNP’s East Midlands election officer.
“There are two important implications in this result,” Mr McDermott continued. “The first is that there are a large number of similar wards in and around Boston, in which this result could easily be replicated. Boston therefore has the potential to become a key area for the BNP.
“The other important factor is the total collapse of UKIP. In the 2004 Euro elections, Lincolnshire was one of the strongest areas to come out for UKIP, and it is clear that the BNP has now surpassed that group as the premier anti-EU party of choice for those voters.”

Melton and Rutland BNP Introduce Own DVD to Latest Meeting

Melton and Rutland BNP have innovatively introduced their own locally produced activity DVD to show at their monthly meetings to introduce new members to the hard work and effort that the local branch puts into promoting the party.
“We put up a large projector screen in the front which played scenes from our very own DVD,” Melton and Rutland BNP group organiser Cllr James North told BNP News after the latest meeting held recently.
Speaking at the meeting, Cllr North provided the crowd with a review of the achievements of the previous month.
First was the Egerton by-election where a fantastic result of 32.5% was achieved. He commended Nick Porter and his team of hard working activists who contributed countless hours to help in the campaign.
In addition, the two recent paper sales held in Melton Town Centre have brought in an unprecedented amount of interest and support from the public, much to the worry of the other parties in Melton.
Nick Porter then gave an in-detail talk on the Egerton by-election, in which he was the candidate. The issues upon which he stood included the need to support local farmers; ending out-of-control anti-social behaviour; stamping out drug problems in Melton; as well as issues such as the parking charges in Melton doubling on Cattle Market day; the rebuilding of the Council buildings; and the tremendous translation fees for foreigners which are increasing the public’s tax bill.
Mr Porter stressed that the BNP is the only party who can save this country, and encouraged everyone to become familiar with the organisation and aims of what is called ‘Common Purpose.’
The next speaker was Moira Chambers, who, after repudiating Labour lies that the BNP was anti-Irish by pointing out that she herself was Irish, went on to discuss National Health Service and how it is being destroyed by mass immigration.
The main speaker of the evening was Peter Jarvis who held the audience captive with a very informative and interesting account of our country’s current situation. He opened by talking a bit about the extensive history of Melton Mowbray, which was mentioned in the Domesday Book.
“We have a right and a responsibility to preserve the lifestyle and culture that our ancestors created and built for us,” Mr Jarvis said, adding that “we have been betrayed for the last fifty years and have now effectively become a one party state, where the indigenous people of these islands are no longer represented,” he said to a tremendous round of applause.
The raffle was then held, followed by a small auction conducted by Cllr North. The meeting raised over £200 which will be put towards local BNP activities.
Melton and Rutland Activists Unrelenting in Their Leafleting Efforts

After an unprecedented amount of interest following the paper sale Melton and Rutland BNP held last month, activists from that branch returned to the streets to continue spreading our message to the public.
Cllr James North, accompanied by Nick Porter, Matthew Sleath and Rachel Hill, were pleased to be back selling papers in the town centre, while meeting with the public and listening to their concerns regarding the state of the country.
“Members of the public started expressing their support even before our stall had been completely set up,” reported Councillor North. The interest and enthusiasm we sparked carried on throughout the morning.
“Many people came to talk to us about things that concern them such as the war in Iraq, the overwhelming amount of gun and knife crime in this country, as well as thoughts on the economy and the general decline in the state of our current affairs.
“A gentleman who now lives in France donated to our cause and commended our efforts in bringing a voice back to our people.
“We had a young student approach us who is absolutely horrified by what is going on in Iraq and supports all that for which we stand.
“The support was so pronounced that we decided to continue our outreach efforts and headed out into the centre of town to hand out leaflets to people passing by.
“We achieved so much in such a short amount of time and there is no doubt that we are leaving our mark right in the heart of Melton and in the minds of the people,” he concluded.
Former Labour Council Head; Former Tory Chairman in Ashfield Defect to BNP

Two prominent Labour and Tory politicians from the district of Ashfield, East Midlands, have resigned from their parties in disgust and have joined the British National Party.
Former chairman of Ashfield District Council and a former Labour Councillor, Edward Holmes, says: “Serving the community was the proudest time of my political career.
“Unfortunately the Labour party I represented no longer cares for the local people. The Labour party of today is not the party that represents Britain’s working class.”
Former Chairman of Ashfield Conservative Association Lionel Buck says: “Having served in the Army I joined the Conservative Party in 1986 and was delighted to be elected Chairman of the Ashfield Association.
“However the Tories in recent years don’t have the courage of their natural convictions.
“Especially under Cameron, they tout new policies around like confetti, dumping traditional Tory values in their efforts to be like NuLabour.”
Richard Barnbrook Speaks in Amber Valley

Richard Barnbrook enthralled last Thursday’s packed meeting of Amber Valley BNP with a recounting of his sole opposition to the ‘amnesty for illegal aliens’ bill passed earlier by the Greater London Assembly.
The meeting, chaired by East Midlands Regional Organiser Geoff Dickens, was one of the branch’s best yet, and was treated to a powerpoint presentation by Amber Valley Organiser Cllr Lewis Allsebrook.
The powerpoint presentation showed the progress made in Amber Valley during recent election campaigns, Cll Allsebrook’s plans for the future and how local groups are now working together closely to ensure more BNP election successes in the region.
After a short break, Mr. Barnbrook gave a rousing account of his experiences alongside London Mayor Boris Johnson and the rest of the Greater London Assembly.
His almost word for word account of the recent proposed “amnesty” by all the main parties, including the environmentally unfriendly Greens, for all illegal immigrants currently residing in London, had the audience captivated.
Mr. Barnbrook, being the only London Assembly member to speak out against this appalling motion, gave a humorous account of the other parties’ horror-filled reaction to his opposition. He received a well-deserved standing ovation from Amber Valley BNP.
A collection raised over £200 along with sales of Excalibur merchandise and a raffle. All funds raised during the evening will be going towards next year’s Euro campaign in Amber Valley.
East Midlands ‘Wealthiest and Largest BNP Region in Country’

The East Midlands is the ‘wealthiest and largest BNP region in the country’ boasted regional organiser Geoff Dickens at the latest Leicestershire branch meeting.
Speaking to about 50 people in Leicester Forest East, Geoff said that Leicester alone has three leafleting teams going out regularly.
“We have more than £20,000 in the Euro-fund Peacock club, and we polled over 32 percent in Melton recently,” he said.
“In Charnwood we are contesting a by election and aiming for at least 10 percent and the same in Markfield.”
Regional press officer and Leicester super activist John Ryde then addressed the meeting, saying that the party was getting more coverage nationally and that the Markfield by-election had been caused because a councillor had resigned after attending only four out of the 28 meetings and claimed £3000 in expenses.
Next up was BNP deputy treasurer David Hannam, who told of how when the party accounts had been handed in, the Electoral Commission wanted to know why the BNP had so many small donations. The norm, they said, for other parties was a few very large donations.
David said they were amazed when shown the thousands of people who donate small amounts.
The second speaker was councillor Mark Burke, deputy South East Regional Organiser, who spoke on developments in his region, and of the need to befriend any members of the press who could be persuaded to see reason.

The hardworking activists from Melton and Rutland BNP never stop: last weekend they leafleted not only their own town on Saturday, but then went out to help Charnwood BNP on Sunday as well!
On Saturday, the BNP team delivered superb local leaflets in Melton, receiving another good response from people who were glad to see the British National Party active in their area.
Many people in the town pledged to vote for the BNP in next year’s county council elections as well as in the Euro elections.
On Sunday, the team then travelled to neighbouring Charnwood to help in the forthcoming by-election for the Dishley and Hathern ward.
There the reception was just as good and it seems the BNP vote is going to be more than reasonable.

The public in Melton proved to be highly receptive to the first ever street paper sale by the Melton and Rutland team held on September 20th.
YBNP Organiser Matthew Sleath and Branch Secretary Rachel Hill were joined by recent Egerton by-election candidate Nick Porter to distribute leaflets, membership application forms and to sell Voice of Freedom newspapers to an appreciative public.
Large numbers of shoppers stopped to talk to the BNP activists, and many expressed their support and that they could not wait to vote BNP at the earliest opportunity.
The paper sale was an astounding success and the Melton and Rutland BNP team intend to make it a more frequent event.
BNP Councillor in NW Leicestershire Saves Age-Old Footpath

BNP councillor Ian Meller in Whitwick ward in North West Leicestershire has saved the day for his local community by helping to preserve an age old public right of way footpath after the local Tory councillor refused to step in.
A recent plan by the council to divert the footpath, which has been in existence for as long as anyone can remember, spurred local resident, Mrs Wilton, to contact her BNP councillor for help.
A petition was organised without delay. Over a hundred local signatures were collected for what was seen as a right of way being diverted for the sake of a new golf course.
This was followed up with a public meeting, attended by council officers and the BNP councillor, representing the residents. The end result was that the council has now decided not to divert the footpath.
Local residents expressed their gratitude towards Ian Meller and the BNP for stepping in when no-one else was interested in their plight.
