How is oil created?
Oil is a finite resource, so the question really should be how WAS oil created. It was made at one unique period in the earth’s geological history and as readers will, no doubt, be aware it is not universally distributed - it occurs in well defined geological situations which are found throughout parts of the middle east, North America, Mexico, Venezuela, Nigeria, the North Sea, the Caspian sea, central Asia and Mediterranean Africa.
-
Most oil formed in historically marine environments even where those oil deposits are currently on land. Tiny marine organisms ( plankton) get their energy to live and multiply from sunlight. When they die they sink to the bottom of the sea. Those that died millions of years ago are the source of today’s oil and gas.
-
These sediments are deposited quickly and buried by sand and mud before decomposition. These sediments are mainly younger than 500 million years.
-
The organic material is converted over a period of 150 million years to oil and natural gas (i.e hydrocarbons, e.g. methane) upon burial and by the effects of geothermal heat (65 - 93 C).
-
Oil and gas migrate upwards from the areas of rock where they were formed. When they met a layer of cap rock (a rock with no spaces between the grains) the oil and gas are trapped.
-
If trapped oil and gas can be recovered, otherwise the oil and gas would have migrated upwards oozing and bubbling out of the ground. 500 millions later we are only able to take advantage of the trapped oil and gas although there is evidence to indicate that in parts of China, in human history, oil did ooze out of the ground and the ancient Chinese burned it to provide lighting.
Figure: Rock formations which lead to entrapment of oil.
How is oil extracted?
Geologists have a pretty complete picture of the earth’s surface and can identify the geological locations which have the right circumstances for holding oil deposits. It doesn’t mean to say that the rock structure will bear any oil at all. The only sure way of proving the existence of oil is to drill for it.
As mentioned above, oil is found trapped under non-porous rock and consequently the rock has be to drilled into in order to extract the oil. The drill bit is made of steel with industrial diamonds on the cutting edges. The drill bit is connected to the end of sections of spinning pipe which are manually put together by workers on the oil rig (sometimes called a platform). The drill creates a hole which is called a well.
An oil field may cover several square miles. There may be many wells drilled into the rock at various locations within the oil field.
In the North Sea most oil wells are between 900 and 5,000 metres deep, but a drill can go down as far as 8,000 metres (5 miles)The wells also travel horizontally through the reservoir. Some parts of the North Sea are 200m deep (656ft) so the drill thread has to be carefully lowered to the sea bed before it can start drilling through the cap rock.
Some oil reservoirs need to be pumped. In this case, there are small pumps inside the well pipes. Also, water is pumped into the well to force the crude oil mixture out. This water is pumped down injector wells while the oil is pumped out of production wells. On the Captain platform, owned by BP, just off the north coast of Scotland in the Moray Firth there are 27 such wells operated from the single platform. Five of these act as injector wells which conduct water which is pumped into them. The 22 other wells are the receiving wells up which the oil is forced by the pressure of the pumped water.
The top end of the well is called the well head . This is where the oil is removed from the well for onward discharge into pipeline or tanker ship.
North Seas oil platform are huge structures. Some have concrete which sit on the sea bed itself. Others have metal legs which have been jacked up, while a few are floating structures.
The North Sea has over fifty seperate oil fields. But all of them reached their peak output some years ago. That means they are now in decline. No new untapped fields have been found. The UK now has to import crude, mainly from the Middle East, to meet current consumption demands.

Once extracted the crude has to be purified(refined) before it can be put to commercial use. Such uses include petrol (which the Americans call “gas”) in vehicles, diesel for use in other vehicles, aviation fuel, feedstock for the chemical industry and bitumen for asphalt manufacture.

What happens in a refinery?
There are 8 oil refineries in the UK; situated at Grangemouth, Middlesborough, Stanlow, Killingholme, Coryton, Milford Haven, Llandarcy, and Fawley. All of these are coastal sites and some have chemical plants within their complexes. The crude oil brought to the refineries by tanker or pipeline is a mixture of compounds - mainly hydrocarbons.
(A hydrocarbon is a chemical compund made up of just carbon and hydrogen, e.g. methane, butane, propane, octane.)
Fractional distillation splits the crude oil into simpler mixtures called fractions. The different fractions are taken away from the still at different elevations by pipes for further treatment.
The crude oil is heated in a furnace to about 370°C and is pumped into the bottom of a distillation tower. Most of the hydrocarbons are gaseous, though the very thick ones are still a liquid even at this temperature.
Two stills are commonly used; first the atmospheric still with the residue from this being passed to the vacuum still where it is split into more fractions.
The tower is like a giant heat exchanger - it removes heat from the gases as they rise up it. The temperature falls to 20°C by the time the vapours reach the top.
The vapours condense as they rise up the tower. The heavier ones (with higher boiling points) condense first. The thinner, more mobile ones get further up the tower before they condense. And the gases pass out of the top.
The temperature gradually decreases further up the column. Different groups of hydrocarbons condense at different heights. The heaviest at the bottom, the lightest at the top.
Cracking
The crude oil product which has the biggest demand is petrol, which is made from the naphtha fraction. This fraction contains molecules with 5 to 10 carbons in their chains. As such, it is one of the lighter fractions.
Although about 20% of a barrel of crude oil eventually goes to petrol, there is nowhere near this amount of naphtha in the raw crude. So, the demand is much greater than what is available.
However, there is a surplus of heavier fractions like heavy gas oil, which has very few direct uses. Its molecules have more than 20 carbons in their chains.
To meet demand for petrol, chemists have devised a solution, which is to break up these long chain molecules into the shorter molecules that are useful in, for example, petrol. This process is called “cracking”.
The cracking reaction can be induced using high temperatures (about 500 C) in the presence of steam or a zeolite catalyst.
The steam cracker reacts steam with heavy gas oil. The heavy gas oil is called the feedstock - i.e. it is what is fed into the cracker. The long chain hydrocarbons are split into much shorter chains with 1 to 8 carbon atoms. The main product is ethane (with 2 carbons). The C5 to C8 hydrocarbons go into the petrol blend.
The products pass out of the top of the reactor vessel to a fractionating column to be separated. About 20% of the product goes into petrol. The rest are lighter hydrocarbons which pass into the refinery processes.
The catalyst flows back into the regenerator where it is reheated to burn of the carbon ready for another round of catalysing.
An excellent animation of the catalytic cracking process can be found here.

Killer Taxi Driver in Forklift Training Bid
August 28, 2008 by News Team

A taxi driver who mowed down a Black Country teenager and dragged him under his cab has applied for a forklift truck course.
The police broke the news to victim Scott Poll’s parents, Arthur and Sharon, who say they are “disgusted.”
Ghulam Hussain, who was convicted of manslaughter in 2006, has also applied for weekend release.
Scott, 17, from Lincoln Road, Stone Cross, West Bromwich, died in February 2006 when he was run over by Hussain’s taxi and dragged beneath it for more than a mile along six streets.
His body was later found near the Manor House pub in Hall Green Road, West Bromwich.
Hussain, a 45-year-old married father of two, of Grange Road, West Bromwich, was convicted at Wolverhampton Crown Court after denying murder and death by dangerous driving but pleading guilty to manslaughter.
He was jailed for three years, which was later extended to five years after a High Court judge ruled that the the original term was “unduly lenient.”
Nice Idea . . . How About a White Radio Station?

Our roving Black Country correspondent was amazed to see this blatant display of arrogance in an Asian shop window this week. After many requests over the years to our leaders, for an opportunity to show our anger by getting even at various ‘advisors’ over the years, horse whispering to government ministers and getting them meekly to offer up things like ’Operation Black Vote’, ‘Black History Month’ and other such things, it was great to see ‘White History’ being promoted as policy.
However, we’ll need to make it a ‘White History Decade’, what with the inventions, architecture, music, and culture etc. etc.
However, back to the present for now. Our man in West Bromwich decided to snap this picture alongside of a shop window (the shop is under new management because the previous owner was closed down after a police raid). One wonders whether the Asian Digital Radio station being advertised will be funded by taxpayers, and if English will be spoken … not likely, going by the new shop owners themselves, who speak almost no English at all.
The second image (sorry about the poor quality) was snapped at the local doctors’ surgery. One has to wonder why there is a need for an ‘Asian Alcohol Services’ at a hospital. Why is there a separate unit?
Over £3 million were allocated last year in the area for local “underprivileged communities” and it is disturbing to consider that each time tensions between Muslim youths and Black youths ends in violence, money is thrown at them like there is no tomorrow.
So with their own ’special status’ and our tax money paying for it, they can now be treated for alcoholism in their own separate unit as well. Imagine the uproar if there was an alcohol unit reserved for white British people … no, that would be racist.
Congratulations to Burnley’s Sharon and John!

BNP councillor Sharon Wilkinson from Burnley — one of the party’s longest serving councillors — has tied the knot with long time partner John Cave.
The ceremony took place yesterday in Burnley, where Sharon is also party organiser, and John, a BNP activist going back more than ten years, met during their activism for the party.
Our heartiest congratulations to the happy pair!
Appeal To The Young Londoner
Young, white and being a Londoner is getting to be a dangerous combination these days. Amazingly, the majority of young people are still indigenous British of European descent. However, the current growth of London’s ethnic minority groups will mean that this situation will not continue for much longer. In 2026 it is predicted that the UK population will be 50 percent immigrant and London’s population will be overwhelmingly made up of immigrants. These are however only predictions based on current trends. We do not have to except this as fate. One way of ensuring that this does not happen is to increase racial awareness within the young white population and strengthen our identity.
Growing up in our great city is far from easy or safe; it’s full of risk. One in four young Londoners have or are carrying some type of weapon which can be lethal. The main reason for carrying such weapons is for ‘protection’, young people just don’t feel safe. Young Londoners are then increasingly dying as a result of shootings and stabbings. Many more are horrifically injured and scarred for life. Young people look to gang culture as a means of protection and belonging. It’s here they are easy prey for drugs and a life of crime.
It’s not just on the streets that our young people are targeted or suffer. Our schools and other places of learning are increasingly less safe havens for young people. There British history and identity along with Christian values are targeted and trashed. Curriculum’s now include Black History month and Britain’s involvement in the Slave trade. There’s no denying Britain played a part in Slavery but the history text books young people read won’t include key facts like it was a small minority of merchants and businessmen who were responsible for slave trading and who profited. Or the fact that the British were the ones who stopped the Atlantic slave trade altogether. Nor will they mention that slavery was an Arab custom introduced from the east and still exists in many parts in the world where the white man has departed from. No slavery is taught in the context of the British Empire and it is used to denigrate our Imperial past, our heritage and culture. Similarily, primary school children are sent to mosques and Hindu temples, not to Churches of Cathedrals. They are not taught about a Christian Identity to respect and look up to. They are forced to learn about other cultures and religions that have no intention of respecting our British culture and way of life.
Is it any wonder that getting out of London or Britain altogether is on the mind of so many of our young people? We are increasingly made to feel like 2nd class citizens within our own city. One we leave education job opportunities are diminished by off shoring and political correctness and quotas. One prime example is the long waiting lists for the police forces for young white people. Everyone knows a person of an ethnic minority background may encounter no such waiting list. It’s not just within the police force that we may encounter bias or discrimination. It can also be found within the wider public and private sectors. Labour has forced bodies to take candidates for employment from ehtnic minority backgrounds even if the white British candidate is better educated and qualified. This is the life of a young white person growing up in London no matter what background. It’s hard to imagine what life will be like in the coming decades if things carry on like this.
However, we must not fall to fatalisism it is never too late and we must fight for our birthright. We need to educate ourselves and then other young people that our history and culture in London and Britain is not lost or forgotten and is something to be proud of. Our identity is strong and we must fight for it and protect it. Maybe in turn this pride in our British Identity will give young people a beeter sense of well being and act to deter the young from joining gangs and celebrating other cultures, drugs and crime. Let’s turn our ambitions into diplomas and degrees rather than ASBO’s and criminal records.

Fewer soldiers, not enough Police officers and lots of poverty
As tensions grow in the International Arena and David Milliband gets into warrior mood, the sad reality is that we have less and less armed personnel because more and more soldiers are leaving the Forces every month. At local level, we do not have enough Police Officers and the Police is asking those affected by crime to investigate crimes themselves and local authorities are spending Council Tax money to transport their workers in the evening because they are afraid of being attacked on the streets.
Welcome to Labour Britain, the land of chaos, mismanagement and poverty, something that a few medals obtained in the recent Olympic Games in China will not change. An official report indicates that more than 15% of families in Britain depend entirely on unemployment benefits and that not less than 40% of single parent families also depend entirely on welfare handouts.
Barking and Dagenham Branch Meeting Thursday 11th September 2008
Barking and Dagenham Branch of the BNP will be holding its regular monthly meeting on Thursday 11th of September 2008. Seven years on from that terrible day when Islamic Fanatics attacked the Twin Towers, The Pentagon and White House killing many people. Special guest speaker will be Jonathan Bowden the philospher, artist and actor. Jonathan who has addressed the branch before on various issues including the ‘decline of British Industry and its affect on working class identity’ always manages to hold the audience in rapture with his challenging views and keen observations. Jonathan this time has promised to deliver one of his best speeches yet. The meeting is open to all London members. Please contact Bob Bailey 07742749614 or london@bnp.org.uk for more details.
Vale of Glamorgan Show Success for BNP
Once again the British National Party had a political stall at the Vale of Glamorgan agricultural show held on the 20th August. For the third year running the BNP have had a stall at this prestigious event held annually at Fonmon Castle in the Vale of Glamorgan.
As ever, courtesy of the British weather, everyone was ankle deep in good old Welsh mud, with at times torrential rain, so much rain in fact that as the day progressed we had to cover the tent roof with a tarpaulin to keep the water out and our stock of party literature dry.
Nonetheless, several hundred Voice of Freedom papers, along with a large number of Identity magazines, as well as around five hundred leaflets, were handed out. The vast majority were pleased to see us there, some remembering us from last year, others indicated an interest in coming to future meetings.
Pictured are BNP representatives from the Vale of Glamorgan, Swansea, and Newport groups, who braved the poor weather conditions to attend the event.
Ulster: Chinese Invaders Run 30 Cannabis Factories in Province
A police investigation has been launched after a suspected arson attack on a cannabis factory. The emergency services were called to the scene of the blaze at a two-storey farm house on the Ballywatt Road outside Coleraine.
A PSNI spokesman confirmed that the fire appeared to have been started maliciously and that anti-Chinese racist graffiti had been daubed onto the building — which was completely gutted as a result of the blaze.
No-one was at home at the time of the fire and there were no arrests as a result of the discovery. After the fire was dealt with, a number of cannabis plants were discovered in the property.
Commenting on the overnight blaze outside Coleraine, a police spokesman said he could not discuss the nationality of the people believed to have been living in the property but said: “A number of cannabis plants, in the form of a ‘cannabis factory’ were discovered in the building. The number of plants discovered is still being established and enquiries into the incident are ongoing,” added the spokesman.
Earlier this year, police revealed they believe that illegal Chinese immigrants are running at least 30 cannabis factories across the province as 17 Chinese nationals appeared in court in Dungannon following a raid on three cannabis factories in Tyrone. In June, the PSNI also revealed that cannabis with a street value of over £8m has been seized from organised UK crime gangs who have moved their large-scale cannabis manufacturing business into Northern Ireland. The gangs have brought immigrants from South East Asia into the province to help in the cultivation of cannabis which is then being distributed across Northern Ireland and Britain.
Police said that in a major anti-drugs operation over the previous few months they seized cannabis plants with a street value of £7.3m, 113 kilos of herbal cannabis with a street value of £1.1m, £120,000 cash, searched 55 properties, made 56 arrests and charged 45 people, all of them from South East Asia.
Ulster BNP congratulate the Police in their efforts to try and thwart the foreign drug manufacturers in Ulster. Unfortunately any attempts to eradicate this public menace will be hampered by the totally inadequate immigration policies of the British and Irish Governments.
Until the immigration issue is tackled head on, in a manner suggested by the British National Party, then the Police will have to be content with chipping away at the tip of the ice-berg with a toffee hammer.
Unusually quiet on the subject of immigrant Chinese criminals, is the Alliance Party’s Anna Lo. Anna Lo, is also a foreign immigrant and is often heard on Ulster television and radio whenever a race issue is mentioned. She was more than vocal in her opposition of a marching band parading through a so called Chinese area of South Belfast and now deservedly, has earned the name ‘Race card Anna’.
Perhaps Anna could put the race card down for a minute and put her finger on the pulse of the Chinese community, maybe then she might be able to shed some light onto the whereabouts of the remaining cannabis factories. The Chinese community are tight knit, and these drug gangs are likely to be Chinese mafia, the Triads. So perhaps Anna’s efforts might be more suited to probing into the illegal affairs of her own community.
Make Room for the ‘British Asylum Seekers’

Our Black Country correspondent was interviewing some local people on one of his trips around the region. In one interview with local youngsters, our man was told that this company pictured here, a thriving ‘workwear and safety’ clothing business in West Bromwich, was ”not taking anyone on at the moment.”
The young men wondered why this was, as many people are seen coming and going. On making more detailed investigations, our correspondent was told by a source close to the on-site security that ”agency workers only” were hired. Also, these agency workers are mainly ‘immigrant workers’, therefore locals need not apply.
As if this was not enough, while travelling around the wider English midlands region, to report back to the organiser and local BNP councillor, the second picture of “a robbery in progress” was taken. Violence with weapons in the Sandwell region, is second only to London according to a recent report.
One witness described events as ”like a scene from an American action movie,” as police cars and officers were seen dashing all over the place.
Our correspondent has been shocked by the amount of people planning to ”move to the country” because of crime, and lack of jobs for our own people. Also, many are planning to move abroad, which is sad when you realise that every western nation is now under the same pressure from immigrant led crime.
Alongside: The beautiful Arlington Row in the Cotswolds, and below, the not so beautiful devastation of our home towns.
Arlington row was so pretty, and typically English that in the early 20th Century, a wealthy American wanted to buy it, lock, stock and barrel.
This area is home to many of our ‘opponents’, and employees of the BBC.
Why are they not finding solace in the areas where the second picture was taken? With their money, fame, and oh so ‘liberal left’ attitudes, many of our 30,000 elderly people dying from cold and hunger in our Third World-like towns and cities each year, would get just the help they require, regarding money and heating facilities with such kind people ‘living next door’.
This pictorial report is meant to show the disparity between ‘real life’, and those many thousands who think they are hidden and safe deep in what is left of the British countryside.
Wealthy, anti-British politicians, financiers, and media luvvies etc., have wasted no time in living the life-style they are so publicly opposed to, whilst the rest of us have to face soaring costs, crime, and no obvious way out of all of this.
If young men looking for ‘local work’, and others in our crime ridden towns are saying to our correspondent “we are thinking of moving to the country,” it can only mean that we now face a “British asylum seeker invasion.”
Sandwell Council Continues to Spend Taxpayers’ Money Wisely

The chief executive of a Black Country council is attending a £5,000 self-awareness training course in Germany and Florida. It will teach her to become “more likeable and able to like herself.”
Dr Allison Fraser, who is in charge of Sandwell Council, signed up to the Avatar Professional Course at taxpayers’ expense.
The Avatar website claims the course teaches people how to become “more real, authentic,” to “protect themselves against the abrasions of the world” and “gain a connection with the undefined self.” It also teaches its students how to “obtain the keys to successfully operate in the world.”
Avatar was established by Harry Palmer, a former missionary in the controversial Church of Scientology and it is claimed he devised the Avatar theory during a prolonged session in a flotation tank.
Dr Fraser has already taken a £2,400 course in Germany and is due to fly out to Florida in October for the remaining £2,500 worth of training. She will be staying at the International Drive Resort in Orlando, described as one of the most “dynamic vacation destinations” in the world.
Tony Mallam, chairman of Sandwell’s Sons of Rest social clubs, which are facing closure because of budget cuts, said: “It beggars belief. She should be concentrating on Sandwell, not flying round the world.”
Sandwell Council leader Bill Thomas says it represents “good value for money. It is certainly very important that she has access to these training courses,” he said. “This is considered to be one of the best courses around.”
Cumbria BNP Back on the Campaign Trail

Not a week has passed since the RWB and Cumbria BNP are right back on the campaign trail. Cumbria’s first ever mail merge letter will go out in Barrow as the final piece of literature to be used in the Newbarns Ward by-election on 4th September 2008.
The mail merge, individually addressed letters to every elector in an election, is the method we have been using and in the Upperby ward election in Carlisle this year it was a big factor in doubling our vote from last year. Not the easiest thing to produce and most definitely time consuming, but worth the extra effort.
All in all, 4,200 letters are well on the way to being delivered in the ward, with the full operation scheduled to be completed by Thursday. This will leave the final week for canvassing and a bit of high profile campaigning as we enter the final few days.
Mike has set very achievable goals for this election: to beat the Labour Party and the Communist “Peoples Party”; a second place and strong showing in this very strong Tory area. This is the first time that this ward is being contested by the BNP.
British Economy Collapse
The news that the British economy has come to a halt is no news at all. It was predictable given the level of mismanagement created by Labour. Labour’s flagship - the service economy - grew by just 0.2% while manufacturing output decreased by 0.8% at a time when inflation is of more than 4.4%.
George Buckley, an economist at Deutsche Bank, indicates that the UK economy is already in recession. Stewart Robertson, an economist at Morley Fund Management, said that ‘rates need to be cut.’ On the one hand, the Bank of England needs to keep interest rates to curb inflation, but on the other hand unless interest rates are cut we are doomed.
As if this was not enough, the flow of utilities putting up prices does not stop at the time when Norway announced that is reducing oil and gas exports to Britain and this could seriously jeopardize 40% of our energy supplies.
The embattled Sterling is on the way down suffering losses both against the Dollar and the Euro and this could make our energy imports ever more expensive.
Hounslow Branch Meeting Weds 27th August 2008
Recently formed Hounslow Branch will be holding a meeting at 730pm on Wednesday the 27th of August 2008.Hounslow Branch has already hit the ground running giving much assistance to Hillingdon Branch in a recent local by-election.
The Hounslow Branch was formed out of a dedicated team of activists from Richmond and Kingston BNP Branches. The London elections showed there is much latent support in West London which new branches will be able to capitalise on during the Euro Elections in June next year and the Generals when they are called.
If you would like to support Hounslow Branch please attend this meeting. More details can be obtained by emailing hounslow@bnp.org.uk

RED, WHITE and BLUE REPORT - SOUTH EAST REGION
by Jim Baxter and Val Manchee
Another Red, White and Blue has been entered into the history books and was a great success in spite of the appalling weather.
During the family event in scenic Derby we had strong winds, pouring rain and bright sunshine but everyone kept smiling. Speeches were excellent, stalls were interesting, entertainment was very good despite the best efforts of the police to make life difficult for us. The feeling of camaraderie amongst the many people who attended was very positive. There were plenty of children who were extremely well behaved and they enjoyed themselves immensely.
The South East Region team had a ’slight’ mishap when we put up our marquee. Unfortunately it was ripped apart in the gale force winds and we were up at 1am rescuing the stock. Luckily there was a spare marquee and we were able to move into it, so everything turned out for the best in the end.
This year we tried to offer the event goers something different from the usual local food stalls in the form of a jumble sale. Items ranging from books to clothes, toys and bears and anything else we could get our hands on were very popular with the crowds and we raised a substantial amount for the Region in the process.
Thank you to everyone that contributed jumble and resources this year. We urge you to collect jumble from your family and friends for next years Red, White and Blue, where we intend to put in an even bigger Regional effort which hopefully will include a variety of attractions. We will keep members informed well in advance. Should you have ideas for our Marquee please make them known soon.
Next year’s event is the tenth anniversary of the RWB and the Organisers plan to have a very special occasion. We highly recommend that you make an effort to attend the festival and support your Region. There are plenty of camping and caravan spots available. If camping is not your thing there are many good quality B&B’s within reasonable distance of the venue itself.
Special thank you must go out to Richard and Anita Trower, Steve Horne and especially Steve Bolton without whom the South East Region would not have been able to have a presence at all.
A final very special thanks must go out to Alan Warner, the owner of the RWB site, who has had to endure a great deal of personal pressure, that he shouldn’t have, from the Marxist scum and the local council and police. However like a true British Patriot he has stood his ground and fully hopes we will be back next year to make it bigger and better than ever.
Onward and Upward!
The Economic Iron Curtain
In recent times I have got into the habit of keeping track of the number of shops that have closed their doors on the local high street, never to re-open again. The typical sign is: ‘closed for refurbishment’, and it becomes an eternal ‘closed for refurbishment’. Occasionally, there is a new shop opening that would in many cases last just a few months if not weeks.
Most of the restaurants no longer exist. Hardware stores disappeared. The one music shop we had closed down. Small coffee shops that add ‘diversity’ to our streets no longer survive and the list goes on and on. I walk and walk doing my shopping and feeling more and more depressed because even small the said establishments offered real jobs for those who need them most and they were very much part of the fabric of the community.
The bright atmosphere of the town where I settled down has been replaced by nuances of monotonous grey shadows of empty places, of lack of hope, of more and more people surviving on the dole. Labour is transforming Britain into some sort of East Germany under Soviet rule destroying our jobs, mismanaging our resources, and ever more spying on us by creating a society run by the State with total disregard for the needs of ordinary citizens. Where did we see that before?
Charity Begins at Home (or, Know Where Your Money Is Going)
Sirs.
I found this editorial, which has altered my thinking on charitable contributions to deprived or disaster prone countries. Make of it as you will. In the absence of my being able to provide a hyperlink to it, I have reproduced below the article which appeared in the Irish Independent newspaper — which I read daily online — a week or two ago.
Written by one of their columnists, Kevin Myers (who in my submission is a master of his trade), it provides a devastating critique of Western aid policies towards the poor and hungry of sub-Saharan Africa, but more potently still, it also dares to trespass on what, up until now, has been an utter taboo: criticism of both the countries concerned and their people. It does not make comfortable reading, but it is certainly compelling and as such, I reproduce it in its entirety for those who wish to read it, because I believe it deserves a wider audience. Unsurprisingly, this column provoked a blizzard of letters and emails, both to the Irish Independent and to Myers himself.
Yours, screamingmad.
“No. It will not do. Even as we see African states refusing to take action to restore something resembling civilisation in Zimbabwe, the begging bowl for Ethiopia is being passed around to us, yet again.
“It is nearly 25 years since Ethiopia’s (and Bob Geldof’s) famous Feed The World campaign, and in that time Ethiopia’s population has grown from 33.5 million to 78 million today. So why on earth should I do anything to encourage further catastrophic demographic growth in that country? Where is the logic? There is none. To be sure, there are two things saying that logic doesn’t count.
“One is my conscience, and the other is the picture, yet again, of another wide-eyed child, yet again, gazing, yet again, at the camera, which yet again, captures the tragedy of…. Sorry. My conscience has toured this territory on foot and financially. Unlike most of you, I have been to Ethiopia; like most of you, I have stumped up the loot to charities to stop starvation there. The wide-eyed boy-child we saved, 20 years or so ago, is now a priapic, Kalashnikov-bearing hearty, siring children whenever the whim takes him.
“There is, no doubt a good argument why we should prolong this predatory and dysfunctional economic, social and sexual system; but I do not know what it is. There is, on the other hand, every reason not to write a column like this.
“It will win no friends, and will provoke the self-righteous wrath of, well, the self-righteous, letter-writing wrathful, a species which never fails to contaminate almost every debate in Irish life with its sneers and its moral superiority. It will also probably enrage some of the finest men in Irish life, like John O’Shea, of Goal; and the Finucane brothers, men whom I admire enormously. So be it.
“But, please, please, you self-righteously wrathful, spare me mention of our own Famine, with this or that lazy analogy. There is no comparison. Within 20 years of the Famine, the Irish population was down by 30pc. Over the equivalent period, thanks to western food, the Mercedes 10-wheel truck and the Lockheed Hercules, Ethiopia’s has more than doubled. Alas, that wretched country is not alone in its madness. Somewhere, over the rainbow, lies Somalia, another fine land of violent, Kalashnikov-toting, khat-chewing, girl-circumcising, permanently tumescent layabouts.
“Indeed, we now have almost an entire continent of sexually hyperactive indigents, with tens of millions of people who only survive because of help from the outside world.
“This dependency has not stimulated political prudence or commonsense. Indeed, voodoo idiocy seems to be in the ascendant, with the next president of South Africa being a firm believer in the efficacy of a little tap water on the post-coital penis as a sure preventative against infection. Needless to say, poverty, hunger and societal meltdown have not prevented idiotic wars involving Tigre, Uganda, Congo, Sudan, Somalia, Eritrea etcetera.
“Broad brush-strokes, to be sure. But broad brush-strokes are often the way that history paints its gaudier, if more decisive, chapters. Japan, China, Russia, Korea, Poland, Germany, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia in the 20th century have endured worse broad brush-strokes than almost any part of Africa.
“They are now — one way or another — virtually all giving aid to or investing in Africa, whereas Africa, with its vast savannahs and its lush pastures, is giving almost nothing to anyone, apart from AIDS.
“Meanwhile, Africa’s peoples are outstripping their resources, and causing catastrophic ecological degradation. By 2050, the population of Ethiopia will be 177 million: The equivalent of France, Germany and Benelux today, but located on the parched and increasingly protein-free wastelands of the Great Rift Valley.
“So, how much sense does it make for us actively to increase the adult population of what is already a vastly over-populated, environmentally devastated and economically dependent country?
“How much morality is there in saving an Ethiopian child from starvation today, for it to survive to a life of brutal circumcision, poverty, hunger, violence and sexual abuse, resulting in another half-dozen such wide-eyed children, with comparably jolly little lives ahead of them? Of course, it might make you feel better, which is a prime reason for so much charity. But that is not good enough.
“For self-serving generosity has been one of the curses of Africa. It has sustained political systems which would otherwise have collapsed.
“It prolonged the Eritrean-Ethiopian war by nearly a decade. It is inspiring Bill Gates’ programme to rid the continent of malaria, when, in the almost complete absence of personal self-discipline, that disease is one of the most efficacious forms of population-control now operating.
“If his programme is successful, tens of millions of children who would otherwise have died in infancy will survive to adulthood, he boasts. Oh good: then what? I know. Let them all come here. Yes, that’s an idea.”
A Time to Stand
My comments concern this shambles of a so-called government.
If they (the government) think that we, the British people, have given in to the Politically-Correct brigade, they need to think again! I and a vast number of other people are sick and tired of the ***** we Brits have to endure on account of their anti-English parade.
The time for action is near.
Any foreigner, any Muslim person who thinks that these British-born, proud Christian people are going to sit and take this any longer are sadly mistaken. If necessary, we will rise very soon. Our families will once more be alone while the real men fight the fight. We will, as always conquer any threat, and victory will be ours. Be sure you’re on OUR side, as we will be victorious.
We will, I’m sure, return Christianity to its proper place in Britain. If you worship another religion, that’s your business–but don’t expect it to be placed above ours, and don’t expect special treatment.

Those Pesky Replica Medals
Dear Sir,
I am staggered at the mindless drivel, double standards and self-defeat that some newspapers appear to publish in an attempt to look good and wholesome, when in fact they do nothing short of making themselves appear irrational ranters.
On 7 August the ‘respectable’ Daily Telegraph and The Sun accused the BNP of selling replica medals “to fund extremism”, when it’s perfectly OK for the much-respected Ministry of Defence’s own Army Museum to sell the very same items. Criticised as disrespectful and “an insult to both the Queen and our brave personnel”, certain MPs also similarly “criticised the far-right party for exploiting the sacrifices of servicemen for financial gain.” All of which leads me to ask why is the Army Museum selling them? And why is it that there are very many museums and ‘replica’ shops across the country which also sell these items? Has anyone every heard of double standards?
There are a great many collectors around the British Isles whose deep interest lies in British history, wanting to know more about the two World Wars and their accolades for bravery awarded British service personnel. Through their interest, they wish to own (not necessarily wear) replicas of some of the medals won. What is wrong with that? I have written a factual book about one small aspect of WWII, and am deeply proud to have done so. Am I also to be accused of disrespect and insult for creating a saleable ‘replica’ of those heroic events? I think the problem really lies with these papers and a few MPs not liking the BNP for selling these replicas at half the price very respectably charged by the Museum. But it goes much further than that.
Just to demonstrate the ridiculous state of affairs in this country, they even suggest the Defence Secretary looks at this issue “to see whether legislation should be introduced to forbid it.” What about the Museum sales then - and sale of my book? I think the BNP’s retort, “We don’t get donations from dodgy foreign businessmen or the trade unions - so we raise money in other ways.” is absolutely priceless. The Sun very conveniently quotes Grenada immigrant “hero” Lance Corporal Johnson Beharry who entered the UK in 1999 and (apparently controversially) won a VC in Iraq and who commented, “Selling fake VCs is very disrespectful.” In that case, the Army Museum and all the other museums and shops are disrespectful too. So what will MPs do about that?
So there we have it. These good wholesome British people have done the BNP a considerable service by bringing the Party into the spotlight yet again, just to remind us all that there is a Party that, were we to trouble to find out, might even reflect our own deeply-held feelings. That they pour vitriolic hatred on the BNP just goes to show that the Party obviously stands for something of which they are intensely afraid. No other organisation receives this treatment. Can it be that the BNP tells the truth ?
Do any of those critics actually know what BNP policies are? In view of all the mistruths, accusations, and our obvious inability to trust what we are told, I for one am jolly-well going to find out and http://www.bnp.org.uk is where I am going next. Let’s face it, the rantings about the BNP that we see in the media are more than enough to send any normally intelligent person to find out for themselves. In so doing, the ranters probably drive many people to support the BNP. So by way of printing half-truth and scorn, these two papers (and one or two MPs) have proved beyond all doubt that we cannot rely upon them to give us a true account of events in our own country.
They have all painstakingly shot themselves in the foot.
Kind regards,
Rex
The Olympics and Culture
The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Peking (or Beijing, as we must now learn to call it) was a celebration of the culture of China. It was the Chinese-ness of China, the uniqueness of that ancient land and the people who created its civilisation, that China proudly presented to the world which it will soon dominate.
Whose culture, I wonder, will be celebrated when the next Summer Olympics are held in London?
No Gold Medals for guessing that it will not be that of the British. Oh no, the opening ceremony will be a “celebration of multiculturalism.” That is, a celebration of nothing and nowhere in particular. After all, any one can create a so-called “multicultural society” almost overnight. All you do is open your frontiers to any Tom, Dick or Mustapha, and trample on the rights of the indigenous inhabitants. But it takes millennia, and the people of the land, to create a unique culture like that of China - and like that of Britain.
Who actually “celebrates” this disaster that has befallen our county, except those traitorous fanatics who have engineered it, and those immigrants who have taken possession of so much of our country and are probably secretly hoping that one day they will own the rest?
The Olympic ideal was one of genuine amateurism, but now it is too closely bound up with considerations of regime prestige for that. There will be those who will follow the events of the Olympics, but I’m not one of them. I’m not very interested in how foreigners living in my country perform on the race track or in the swimming pool or anywhere else. Why should I be, since they aren’t my people and they represent a multicultural and multiracial Britain which I Ioathe?

Senseless Attack on a British National
I would just like to say after reading your website and all the articles, I think that the British National Party are fantastic and I wish you were in power now.
Last year I was attacked by a Muslim woman just because my car was overhanging her drive (she had plenty of room to get past me). I was only driving a small KA at the time which, as you know, is not a large car. She savagely beat me over the head after I asked her not to swear at me, as I had not sworn at her. She then told me she could do what ever the **** she wants as this is her country now! When the police got to me I was hysterical. She was promptly arrested — however she told them I had called her a Paki (which I hadn’t). Luckily the police didn’t believe her. However when it came to trial I wasn’t informed until the day of the trial. The hospital informed the court that I was not strong enough to go to court, but the case went ahead without me and consequently she got off scott-free — not even a slap on the wrist!!
I still can’t go out on my own at night. I freak when i see ethnics on the street. I have sent you a picture of me at my wedding just 2 months before the attack and trust me, the smiling happy woman you see in these pictures is not the same as the one writing to you now. I want my country back, and I will do anything and help anyone who is going to help me get there.
Just the other week yet another of our lovely medieval churches down the road was turned into a mosque. I would like to know if I was to go over to their country and turn a mosque or temple into a church, would they just sit there as we have, or would they burn it down the ground with me inside?!!!
So please, please, keep up the good work. Send the illegals all back in a boat if you have to, but please make Britain British again.
God Save the Queen

British Farming and the Labour Vote
August 12, 2008 by News Team
Our correspondent in the Black Country was taking one of his trips around the region last week and came across a local pub, the Labour In Vain, whilst on his way to see a local farming family.
It marries up brilliantly with the general theme of government policy being detrimental to our people. Many farmers are now in deep trouble, but immigrant communities are thriving, as are criminals and those unwilling to work for their keep.
While Third World immigration continues unopposed by the three dismal, treacherous parties in parliament, our farmers, and for that matter, every working man and woman, seem to be peddling frantically just to stay ahead.
Our correspondent spoke to the lady of a local farming family last week, and the subject of “working just to pay the bills” came up. The lady was incensed at the fact that they had worked hard to produce a level of income, and lifestyle that should have by now, reduced their working day to a minimum. Not so apparently.
She went on to explain that her livestock was bought by farmers and retailers in Australia, South America, New-Zealand, and of course, the USA and Canada, because of their “special breed” status. The family are believe it or not, actually struggling, as no special grants, or help was forthcoming from the government, or local council.
In addition, many of her customers are of Asian descent, and along with indigenous folk, enjoy and purchase this milk produced on the farm. Recently though, some of her Asian clients purchased brand new vans for their businesses, and she was angry that grants of £10,000 per van were given to them. Why?
A slap in the face this may be, but it confirms many people’s thoughts that this disgusting government is quite literally, bribing ethnic minorities with “our money”, to ensure their continued votes and support.
The Black Country branch will be mentioning this at the next meeting. Nationwide of course, our correspondent advises that all nationalists and patriots should support our local farmers, and every other indigenous business when possible.
Tory Controlled Lincolnshire County Council Spends Taxpayers’ Money like Water
August 12, 2008 by News Team
At a time when Lincolnshire residents are struggling to get by, due to increasing taxes, rising food and fuel prices, it has emerged that Lincolnshire County Council has spent £1.7million telling us how good they are.
The Tory controlled council now employs 31 people in the public relations department where the costs have spiralled 91% from the already enormous figure of £894,858 in the previous financial year.
Supposedly, the £1.7 million spent this year is to reassure the public that the council is looking after them and the increased costs were needed to rebuild confidence in the council following previous scandals.
More here.
For all those people voting for the Conservatives, all we can say is that you get that for which you vote! Is there any real difference between Labours council tax and the Tories old poll tax?
Our Lincolnshire correspondent would like to know why this money is not being used for much more worthwhile causes, which just a few examples are below:
Reducing peoples overall council tax bills;
Helping pensioners to heat there homes;
Keeping Lafford High School open in Billinghay/towards education costs;
Police funding;
Paying for cancer treatment that is deemed too expensive;
Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air ambulance (grounded today);
RNLI;
Keeping St Matthews church as a community centre.
The list is endless.
