Imagine the leading mosque in Saudi Arabia issuing a statement welcoming the establishment of medieval-style Christian law courts in that country. Wouldn’t happen, would it?
But this is precisely what is happening in Britain. The Church of Scotland has welcomed the possibility of introducing shariah law courts in Scotland — ignoring the fact that Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam, does not even allow Christian churches to be built or Christian church services to be held.
Rev Ian Galloway, convener of the Church and Society Council, said “What is being brought to us is not some kind of parallel jurisdiction that replaces our legal system; rather it is a space, within a given community, for disputes to be resolved.”
He added that shariah courts had been “unfairly portrayed” but in the same breath said that shariah courts must “not break fundamental tenets of the Human Rights Act and the rights of women must be respected.”
His comments follow revelations that the Muslim Arbitration Tribunal (MAT), based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, was holding secret talks with lawyers and community groups about setting up shariah courts north of the Border.
The group is believed to be aiming to set up courts in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
In September it emerged that five shariah courts, ruling on civil cases from divorce to domestic violence and financial disputes, had been operating for more than a year in London, Birmingham, Bradford, Manchester and at MAT headquarters in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
The courts have legal powers, with their decisions enforceable through the county courts or high courts.

The Church of Scotland, like the Archdhimmi, is defying Christian doctrine. The Bible makes it very clear that a nation shall have only one set of laws applicable to all citizens. There are to be no parallel systems for different immigrant ‘communities’:

As a Scot, and a regular Church of Scotland attender, I am utterly appalled by this but not in the least surprised. The laws of this Country are already completely ignored by the Islamic community and the authorities refuse point blank to enforce them. For the Church to condone a separate legal system is insane.
I appreciate some of the comments about the Scots but what you English folk maybe don’t understand is that the vast majority of people up here do NOT realise that everyone in the UK faces the same threat to their way of life. Most Scots think that the Islamic problem is confined to the cities and towns in England, my own wife included!! The attack on Glasgow airport certainly changed a lot of people’s views but until there are riots on the streets, or anti-British marches as you have had in England, then I’m afraid the average Scot will not realise what is happening until it has actually happened and by then, of course, it will be too late!

I was christened a Presbyterian in a beautiful little church in Scarsdale Villas in Earls Court, London in 1950. My parents were married there. I attended Sunday School there nearly every Sunday. Today the place IS A MOSQUE. This is like having your heart and your soul ripped out.
Please forgive me banging on in many posts about having traitors stripped of their citizenship and kicked out of the country but I, like huge numbers of others, have good reason not to want to share the same air as the vermin who are destroying us by the hour.
Sorry to enter a dissenting note, but I do think that for so long as we have to put up with these alien intruders in our land (not for ever I hope) we should let them run their own internal affairs as they see fit. If it does nothing else, it at least stops them from clogging up our courts with impenetrable disputes based on an entirely different morality. Don’t forget that Jews have had precisely this kind of court for their own internal business for very many years without anyone noticing!

Sharia would be the thin end of the wedge and the beginnings of a state within a state. Why should we let them run their own internal affairs? If they can’t live within the British system then they must leave and not be allowed to change any British institutions. Islam has proved itself a totalitarian ideology over the last 1300 years and ceding any powers to them is sheer lunacy. I for one I don’t want to see a possible situation where white indigenous youths have amassed convictions under our British court system but for the same offences a Muslim youth’s record might remain unblemished because they have fulfilled some Islamic criteria, like attendance at a mosque, set by these Sharia courts.
The naive idiots of the SNP should be charged under the Trades Description Act for using the term Nationalist in their party name. I actually believe the part about sharia law as a way to resolve disputes among Muslims. A case can be made for that and it certainly enables greater internal cohesion among Muslim communities. This is why certain well-intentioned people in the establishment support it without realizing that “internal cohesion among Muslim communities” is merely the thin end of an extremely thick wedge that will result in full scale “Holy War” against us when the Muslim community feels confident enough. This is something that needs to be emphasized.
The kind of sharia courts discussed by ‘our’ church leaders are merely the first mild and almost harmless symptom of what is actually a fatal disease - Islamitis. We should be doing everything in our power to contain and destroy this virus before it wipes us out. Instead, we now do everything to make it feel at home. It is not “at home” in Britain. It is “at home” in the desert. Britons must make sure it is never “at home” here. The main problem, as always, lies within our own people. Churches which should support British people, culture, identity, and values, do the opposite.
British nationalists have to retake control of our churches. One way that might help is to introduce a “nationalist narrative” into our churches based on the widespread persecution of Christians worldwide.
An official “non-political” campaign should be started with a list of points that should include all official discrimination against Christians worldwide, including, of course, that of Saudi Arabia. Church groups could then be invited to oppose this persecution. Even the most lefty liberal PC church groups would feel compelled to embrace such a “nationalistic narrative.” Those that didn’t would be endorsing persecution of Christians, an impossible situation for them.
Then, once some focus had been brought to the issue, broad based demonstrations against Saudi supported mosques (almost all of them) and the Saudi embassy, could be staged.
On June 26, 11 Church leaders in Scotland issued a statement which included Christian values for a nation “that welcomes the unique contribution of those who are making the new Scotland”. Er, what new Scotland would that be? Did anyone vote for it? What’s wrong with the auld one? One of the signatories was the Rev. Ian Galloway, convener of the Church & Society Council. 12 Christian sects were represented, some peculiar to Scotland, and subscribed to the principle that the Scots are “a people who are less concerned with their own welfare and more concerned for the well-being of others”. Well, more fool they. Unfortunately, we know what happens when people stop looking out for themselves and their ain folk and bend over backwards for others, probably alien interlopers. They let foxy sharia law into the chicken coop with all of its foreign incompatible values and traditions. John Knox must also be rotating in his grave. That French hussy Marie wasn’t enough, then? We have to have worse from farther afield, do we?
I saw on the TV this morning that Alex Salmond is being pushed to have more ethnic minority and female judges appointed in Scotland, so you could have a Muslim judge trying your case. I wonder if any bias would creep in.
Come on you Scots, wake up to what they are doing to you before it is too late, you are made of sterner stuff than to let yourselves be walked over by a handful of traitors who would sell you out to Europe and Islam. The likes of Ian Galloway do not seem to understand that by creating the sea in which Islam is allowed to swim they (the Church of Scotland as well other Christian organisations), are creating the conditions which will inevitably see their own destruction. Afterall, does Saudi Arabia allow Christianity, or for that matter any other religion, any space. In my view the problem with Christianity in the face of this Islamic onslaught isn’t so much the liberal/marxist priests that have highjacked that religion, though of course they are a problem. I feel that most of the problems stem from christianity itself. All its love thy neighbour codswallop and turn the other cheek flabby weak nonsense! An ideology like this is in trouble partly through its own innate liberal outlook therefore it is going to be in trouble if anything comes along that isn’t so resticted by such a religious outlook. Essentially, it would appear that the way Christianity is today, its got no balls and therefore Islam is taking advantage. I’m just ever so glad that I’m a free thinking atheist, able to think for myself and not having to rely on a book to tell me how to live.
