Red-White-and-Blue - “Coming of age a year early”

This year’s RWB Family Festival on Friday 15th - Sunday 17th August is the ninth in the history of this now well-established and hugely popular nationalist institution. That means that we’re treating it as a full dress-rehearsal for the Tenth RWB next year.

So this year we’re making a really special effort to develop the event in a number of different ways. It’s going to be more varied, and with even more emphasis on culture, tradition and participation. Here are just a few:

* More day-time variety. English Warbow v. Continental Crossbow - display and ‘hands-on’ time. ‘A BNP Homeschooling Operation?’ - guided discussion for parents and teachers. Punch & Judy. Magic Show providing three one hour shows for children. Best ever range of top speakers.

* Full traditional food hall. Out go the cheap burgers and chips (though there will be plenty of good value fast food available). In comes a great range of traditional foods from the nations of the British Isles and elsewhere in Europe. You’ll be able to chose from dishes as varied as organic lamb burgers from a BNPer’s small-holding, Irish stew, a giant Spanish paella, pizzas and classic Swedish recipes. There will even be a full English roast beef Sunday lunch.

* Saturday evening variety. Forties Night with bangers and mash and a glimpse into the culture of the times (extra fee, but well worth it). The earliest English poem. Film show and debate. Children’s party and karaoke. The Legend of King Arthur & the Grail (heavyweight culture for those who want to stretch their brains for an hour!) ‘Folk music and festivals - fun introduction to the cultural revival.

We are also looking for a final few volunteers. Please get in touch if you have some display or skill you can share with us in one remaining under-utilised marquee. And battle re-enactors, we need individuals in British military gear - any period from Romano-British onwards - to help with a children’s quiz (education in disguise!) More classic cars and bikes very welcome.

More news to follow in a few days but do make up your mind to come right now. People who haven’t been for a few years will really notice how this great event is growing and growing up. New members and supporters will be astounded at all the fun, friendship and culture that the British National Party is really all about. And the kids will make dozens of new friends in a safe, secure, happy environment - as well as taking in what belonging to this great nation of ours really means (though they probably won’t even notice how much they’re learning, that’s why the RWB works so well).

Please note:
Wives, girlfriends, kids and trusted friends are all welcome as guests of the cardholder.
There are no advance ticket sales this year. Please pay at the gate.

See you there!

Righteous anger & political action:

The British National Party believes in telling the truth, even if it is sometimes uncomfortable to hear or offensive to those who would rather bury their heads in the sand than face real problems in our society. But while we often pass quite critical comment on the impact of immigration, multi-culturalism and alien religions on the indigenous people of our lands, we have no animosity towards immigrants, their descendants or the followers of non-native religions. Nor do we intend to encourage others to feel such animosity, or believe that anything we have to say is likely to 'stir up hatred' against anyone.

In fact, we believe that by providing a peaceful and Constitutional outlet for the anger and the frustration felt by millions of our people over the undemocratic transformation of our country by our political masters, the BNP actually defuses tensions. Where there is 'hate' we seek to turn it into righteous anger and political action against the only people who deserve to be hated - the politicians who use our taxes to turn our country into a place where we often feel like strangers in our own land.

From the Black Country branch… We’ll be challenging all regional stalls and doing our best to win, as we did in 2002/3. We say this:
New people involved, or just rank and file members, get yourselves up to Derbyshire, and understand what it’s like to ”be amongst your own kind”. Old hands and members: Don’t neglect this opportunity, it comes but once a year, let’s see as many nationalist brothers and sisters as possible. We are going to enjoy it. God bless Britannia.

I’ll second that. Well said BC1959! - Ed

How will we know each other. Should I have esselliott stamped on my forehead?

  5. SOUTH STAFFS on July 22nd, 2008 3:24 pm

Well done to all the new people that have joined us this year.
RWB is truly a family event that you will enjoy, and is a weekend of sanity and freedom.

Would so like to attend and meet esselliott in the actual honest-to-goodness flesh! Unfortunately, I won’t be in the country … must remember to keep August free next year.

Meanwhile, all the best to the entertainers and the attendees. Hope the weather smiles but, even if it was to thunder and lighten, with all that delicious-sounding food and homemade beer and all the interesting sideshows, I’m sure it wouldn’t even be noticed; except perhaps as background noise for King Arthur, the battle re-enactors and the Roaring Forties Night.

This new BNPtv setup is a jewel, a major step forwards. Well done those clever media people in BNP towers.

jao7 - if you click the BNPtv link you’ll find there’s also a mini-chatroom; WebMonkey himself is often there!

Thanks for that. Looks like I need to register.
Ed I am a member, my wife isn’t, can she come along to the RWB bash, or is it members only?

Yes, your wife can come along, no problem.
Wives, girlfriends, kids and trusted friends are all welcome as guests of the cardholder.

I’m not a member but I am quite a reasonable donor - can I get in if I come down?

You need to be a cardholder or a guest of a cardholder, AA. - Ed.

  12. KGO on July 23rd, 2008 8:26 pm

I’d love to be there too but can’t get the time off work, know anyone to go with or how on earth i’d get there on my own!! May be next yr.

We’ll all be there in spirit if not in actual fact! - Ed.

I cannot see where the event is taking place but i suspect it is down South. I could have taken one of your marquee spaces with a show of traditional English clockmaking, of which we have a great heritage. I can’t drive too far these days due to health problems but one of these days we might have a North east event, regards Dave NE

I’ve just received my dvd of 2007 RWB festival and just looking at it gives me a “feelgood” feeling.
I will do my utmost to get to this years extravaganza and already have a couple of interested “EUROSICK” guests to keep me company.
It reminds me of carefree post war days when the fair came to town. Everyone out to enjoy themselves and it’s also a chance to speak to like minded lovers of our country who will give us all a boost just by being there.
Please everyone. Do your best to make this year a record attendance to add to our fantastic gains in public support. The BNP is really flying now!!

  15. gyukcas on July 24th, 2008 12:16 am

PS. Is there a limit on how many guests a cardholder can bring?

    -

‘reasonable’ comes to mind but I’m sure anything up to a ‘1966 England World Cup Winning Footbal Team number including Manager Sir Alf Ramsey’ would be permissible - Ed

Ed: Here’s an excellent link to remember that Gold-Red-White-and-Blue England football moment back in 1966:

    http://uktv.co.uk/gold/item/aid/570243

I watched it live on the box in black and white but that didn’t matter; colour television hadn’t been invented. It’s hard to believe now but we even watched snooker in black and white! I even remember that memorable gaff by the commentator on Pot Black, ” The blue ball is the one behind the green,” or something like that! They all looked various shades of grey of course.

Britain was pretty much a white country in those days with black and white television. Now we have a black and white country with colour television. I want my black and white TV Times back!

I think this time, the RW&B week-end will be the biggest ever, as I feel that over the year members have really excelled themselves, by sending in posts that have enlightened many of us about things we just took for granted! I think they would all like to meet one another this year to bond in frienship, which will make our party much more of a family of brothers and sisters when we remember the face to the names. Yes I’m ready for Aug;08!

  18. Strider on July 24th, 2008 7:22 pm

    See you all there!

Don’t forget the set up team may still require help in the weeks leading up to the event…

  19. esselliott on July 25th, 2008 9:33 am

Are there any local B&Bs in the area so we can stop on Friday night?

  20. smithy on July 25th, 2008 11:56 am

    Where exactly is it?
