It’s An April Fools Joke - Isn’t it?

July 12, 2008 by News Team              Print Page Print Page            Email Page Email Page

Your news team is somewhat baffled by the contents of a media report sent to us by a Hounslow reader. It concerns two individuals well known to regular visitors to this site – Labour’s man and wife team Ann and Alan Keen MPs; known to some as “Mr and Mrs Expenses“!

First of all we invite readers to read the article, from the Hounslow Chronicle, which we reproduce in full, here:

The Keens expenses row has deepened over claims the couple racked up a £5,000 hotel bill in just six weeks.

Ann and Alan, MPs for Brentford & Isleworth and Feltham & Heston respectively, claimed for the stay between April 1 and May 17, 2002. The period reportedly relates to the six-week gap between the duo selling their flat in Covent Garden and buying a luxury flat in Waterloo.

Documents released under the Freedom of Information Act show Ann claimed £2,575 for ‘hotel expenses, etc’, while Alan claimed £2,425 for ‘hotel, telephone, etc’.

The Commons sat for just 19 evenings during this time, meaning the bill for taxpayers works out at more than £260 a night.

The Keens were last week criticised for spending £175,000 of tax payers’ money on a flat in Waterloo, despite their Brentford home lying just nine miles from Parliament.

However, there is no suggestion they have broken Parliamentary rules with any of their claims.

Quite rightly, the Chronicle’s report states that they have not broken any Parliamentary rules witn any of their claims.

However, there would appear to be a couple of rather obvious questions in desperate need of answers!

If we understand the article correctly then the Keens moved out of their Covent Garden taxpayer-subsidised flat and utilised hotel accomodation, until moving into their new taxpayer-subsidised flat in Waterloo, some seven weeks later. This move incurring hotel bills of around £5,000 – charged to the taxpayer. But their main residence, a large house in Brentford, was (and still is) just nine miles from The House. As many Londoners will know Brentford is within easy reach of The House of Commons by car, tube, bus, taxi and, dare we suggest, even pushbike? So why, we ask, did they need to stay in a hotel? Indeed, why the “need” for taxpayer funded accomodation at all?

And it is with no little irony that we note Labour’s public money claimants began their hotel stay commencing on April 1st. Unfortunately the joke would appear to be on us – the taxpayer!

Righteous anger & political action:

The British National Party believes in telling the truth, even if it is sometimes uncomfortable to hear or offensive to those who would rather bury their heads in the sand than face real problems in our society. But while we often pass quite critical comment on the impact of immigration, multi-culturalism and alien religions on the indigenous people of our lands, we have no animosity towards immigrants, their descendants or the followers of non-native religions. Nor do we intend to encourage others to feel such animosity, or believe that anything we have to say is likely to 'stir up hatred' against anyone.

In fact, we believe that by providing a peaceful and Constitutional outlet for the anger and the frustration felt by millions of our people over the undemocratic transformation of our country by our political masters, the BNP actually defuses tensions. Where there is 'hate' we seek to turn it into righteous anger and political action against the only people who deserve to be hated - the politicians who use our taxes to turn our country into a place where we often feel like strangers in our own land.

Happened to glance sideways, while reading the article in the Chronicle and noticed an ad for Stun guns for personal protection. Now, there’s a thought …

If this blatant, outlandish, sheer GREED for spending taxpayers’ money is NOT breaking parliamentary rules, then I strongly suggest that the rules need changing ASAP! This couple should hang their head in shame. Alas, as with ALL present government, they seem to be totally devoid of conscience. Parliamentary rules not withstanding, I’m entitled to my personal opinion: this pair are an utter disgrace!

These odious people evidently have no sense of pride in themselves, nor shame in their disgraceful actions. They sum up so much of what is wrong with many modern-day politicians, exemplifying greed and failing to set an example to the people whom they purport to serve. They are nothing but parasites, bleeding the public purse dry. Disgusting.

These two are a couple of burglars plain and simple with the morals of an alley cat. They look naked without their masks, however it`s not all gloom and doom. I have good news. The unelected Mr Bean is going to make an announcement regarding knife crime next week,(I hope Jackyi gets in on this one) I`am expecting FIREWORKS just when you thought all was lost. A quick warm up question Jakeei, Which way is up?

  5. jao7 on July 12th, 2008 1:53 pm

They weren’t staying at their local YMCA hostel then!.
Still why should they, they have no Christian morals, just bankrupt ones.
Chris100 is spot on, they have no pride and they are disgusting.
The Labour party as originally formed has been changed into an upper class free loading club, the worst of it is that we invite them into the club.
Can you hear the echo of the pigs laughing in their troughs?.

    These people are parasitic vermin.

    Pure, blatent greed…..disgusting!

  8. Vanguard on July 12th, 2008 2:38 pm

Might I dare to suggest that the only reason these two public money scroungers didn’t return to their house in Brentford, while they waited to move in to their luxury flat in Waterloo, was because it is rented out?
That this is paying the mortgage on that property for them whilst they claim tax payers money to buy another property that will be worth considerably more when they decide to sell it. And this is all perfectly within the rules that all those lying theives in Westminster set for themselves. So, they can live in heavily subsidised accomodation while in office and yet own two properties that they can sell for a tidy profit when they’ve finished.
So many Lib/Lab/Con M.P.’s are at this game.
Why the voting public keep electing this type of people just simply beggars belief.
Only the BNP will put an end to this sickeningly greedy behaviour.
No wonder they hate us so much.

ed. The country is full of this greed and their feral experiments. Today being the 12th of July I took a walk up the local cemetery to pay respects and remember the war dead both in this country and in Ulster. The sun was out and the birds were singing. I felt so relaxed sitting on my own shedding a few tears, until two reprobates came walking across the path, cans of lager in hand, and said “got a fag mate”, sizing me up. RESPECT HAS GONE. There is only one way forward to win this country back and that’s the BNP. Then we can give scum the option–national service or do one.

Those photos have been messed about with.Their pig eyes and snouts have been removed to make them look more human. Still, you can see the contempt for the electorate shining through in their self-satisfied “we are VIP`s!” expressions.
They are typical examples of the political elite of this Country.
    They are:

    Unrepentant,
    Cowardly,
    2nd rate,
    Charlatans,
    False witnesses,
    Morally and spiritually bankrupt,
A blight on our people`s lives.

“The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their right names” - Parasitic Vermin sounds about right for the Keens, well spoken Brian Cosworth.

It’s nice to see so many new names appearing on the site, even though the subjects never seem to change.

The whole senario of “money for nothing” that seems to ooze from whatever Government we unfortunately have in power in this country, is not simply unique to national government. The senario for those in Local Government, is not much different either. It is truly amazing the sums of money some Councillors seem to amass each year, with not a word of query being made. So it appears to be the whole structure that is corrupt, not just the national goverment. The question is, what are we to do? At the moment all that seems to happen is we all moan, and talk about the BNP being voted into power but in the meantime these “elected representatives” continue to rip us off with impunity. Something has just got to happen but what? I could suggest many things but Ed would simply erase them. So maybe we will have to start thinking for ourselves, and not simply sit back and dream of when the BNP get voted into power.

It is enormously frustrating but the regime will collapse, depend upon it; everything comes to he who waits - Ed

It might be that soon they will need this money as the Labour £24million debt might very soon lead to BANKRUPTCY. The Hierarchy of Labour will have to pay the money or be declared Bankrupt Themselves!

Ed! Please instruct everyone to KEEP FINGERS CROSSED.

I thought this item would apply to the other married couple, the Wintertons who have adjoining constituencies somewhere.

I do believe that as long as there are so many people who listen to the propoganda put out about us by the communists controlling the media we will take a generation to gain support sufficient for us to take control.Unless of course that enough people now realise how the country has and is changing.

Statistics will show that each year, the alteration of our essential services enables direct controls from Govt (No 10) despite Blears’ (yuk) preaching how control is evolving down to local level.

  15. Winston on July 12th, 2008 5:10 pm

I thought it could equally apply to the Wintertons as well - somewhere up Cheshire I think. I am no reader or friend of the Indie but I thought this article was particularly damning of these two greedy grunts living INXS at our XPENSE!

Parasites like these have no shame and no scruples - just like the rest of the Labour Party. I shall continue to waste my vote until the BNP have a candidate in my area; then my X will be alongside said persons name every time !!!

    Vanguard.
No system lasts forever, all we can do is help make it’s demise sooner rather than later, and be prepared and waiting in the wings for our opportunity.
Things may take a while, but as they say ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’. But built it surely was.

Oh how the Labour identities from the past must be spinning like tops in their graves. A once-great movement (though not one I personally supported very often) has been hijacked by greedy, immoral individuals who have used the Party to secure a place in the Westminster ‘club’ that robs the people blind. Who in their right mind could continue to vote for the present-day Labour Party? I hope they lose every single seat they hold at the next General Election.

Thank you, News Team for continuing to expose these greedy self-serving *******s.
