Breaking News . . . . Aspects of Christian doctrine offensive to Muslims says Archbishop!

According to a Daily Telegraph report:

“Key elements of Christian doctrine are offensive to Muslims, the Archbishop of Canterbury has said in a letter to Islamic scholars.

Dr Rowan Williams also spoke critically of the violent past of both religions and Christianity’s abandonment of its peaceful origins.

His comments came in a published letter to Islamic leaders, intended to promote closer dialogue and understanding between the two faiths.

However they come just months after Dr Williams was forced to clarify comments in which he said some parts of Islamic law will “unavoidably” be adopted in Britain.”

Strange, is it not, that a leading cleric can openly claim: “Key elements of Christian doctrine are offensive to Muslims” but shy away from claiming the reverse!

Where exactly is the Archbishop taking the Church in Britain and why?

The full story may be read here .

  3. Where exactly is the Archbishop taking the Church in Britain and why?

That’s an important question that all Christians, regardless of denomination, should be asking themselves, as it’s not only the Anglican Church which is under questionable leadership. The search for a peaceful coexistence with other groups of people is an admirable one, but not when it means undermining one’s own faith and beliefs. The Archbishop should spend a little less time pandering to Muslims, and a little more fighting to disseminate the Christian message among the youth of Britain before we lose another generation to drink, drugs, and pop culture.

  4. The key element in Christian doctrine that is offensive to Muslims is that Jesus Christ - the holy lamb of God - is regarded as the perfection of human existence, whereas according to the Muslims the psychotic sadistic murdering demon-worshipping paedophile Mohammed is the perfect man.

In claiming that Mohammed is the ultimate perfection, the ’seal of the prophets’ and that Jesus Christ was a second-rate messenger who misunderstood the message, Islam demolishes Christianity far more effectively than atheists could. http://isupporttheresistance.blogspot.com/2007/11/taqiyya-lies-and-muslim-propagana.html

Thus the powers of evil are exalted.
Allah is indeed akhbar and the Archdhimmi is his servant.

  5. I’m sure Satan will be very happy with this one. How on earth can the supposed leader of the Church of England ever hold, let alone express, such anti-Christian beliefs? I’ve maintained for many years that the primary reason the Muslims believe they will one day overthrow the Judeo-Christian world is our own weakness and lack of true faith in our own beliefs. And sure enough, here’s their proof of our lack of faith. This EVIL man–and I do mean “EVIL”–is a disgrace to our church and to his office. The sooner this sick & stupid fool is gone the better.

  7. Let’s hope the MSM really picks up on this and the silly out-of-touch dhimmi duffer is pilloried again. It would be another step towards him being out on his ear, and someone with nous and backbone–such as the laudable Bishop Nazir Ali up the road in Rochester–taking his place.

  9. And why should the Trinity be offensive? The absolute unity of God is illogical as Buddha pointed out 2500 years ago. God, like all functioning phenomena, must necessarily be composite.

A completely unified monad cannot in any way interact with anything or anybody else. It can only exist like Allah in splendid isolation.

To interact, a Supreme Being must either give of itself or take into itself or both, and thus undergo a change of state. Hence the Christian doctrines of the Father giving his son, and taking humanity into redemption.

Allah is an inert ‘necessary being’ or ‘inherently existent entity’ and thus a logical impossiblity.

The Archdimmi cannot even defend a basic Christian belief such as the Trinity.

  10. Whilst we are right to feel outrage at the Archbishop’s comments, the Christian message will always be offensive to those who do not accept Christ - whether they be Muslims or BNP members who have not yet accepted Christ as their Saviour. Christ repeatedly warned that many would be ‘offended’ if He called them ’sinners’. See Matthew 13 v 57, Matthew 26 vv 31 & 33, Mark 6 v 3, Mark 14 v 27, Luke 7 v 23, John 16 v 1

we have religious freedom in this country to believe or not to believe as our conscience dictates, it was out of the struggle for religious liberty that our political freedoms came to be won; Islam which does not permit religious liberty is not suprisingly therefore antithetical to political freedom - Ed

  11. From his statement in the Telegraph

“Discussing differences between the religions, Dr Williams acknowledges that Christian belief in the Trinity is “difficult, sometimes offensive, to Muslims”.

The Trinity is the Christian doctrine stating God exists as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and conflicts with Islamic teaching that there is one all-powerful God.”

Moron! If God is all-powerful then there can be no such thing a free will. Is he a Calvinist as well as a Druid?

So what’s he going to come out with next? A reassuring sermon that there’s nothing to worry about because Jews, Christians and Muslims all worship the same Moon?

  12. I ceased to be shocked by anything the C of E pronounces a long time ago. Nothing this false church says today can shock me anymore.
I had been brought up a very devout Anglican in the colonies. I spent a year living in London when I was 20 - 21 years old, and during that time, I was shocked at how many openly gay and closet-homosexual C of E priests I met. I returned to Africa determined to have nothing to do with this trend. I was a sub-deacon aged 22, but already the Anglican Church in that particular Province had also begun to model itself on what today I would call Common Purpose lines, and 7 years later I left the Church. It was this, or sacrifice my own Christian spiritual integrity. I know now (having explored other denominations) that there is NO church which truly follows Christ’s teachings, and that if I was to grow spiritually, I should not seek guidance from any church.
Some may call this arrogant, but this prayerful approach has served me very well, for many many years later I am still a deeply committed Christian, and still free of the clutches of any church.
However, for most people, church attendance is better than nothing; we need a truly Christian Church of England, something we no longer have, for the present C of E is an abomination in God’s sight. I believe this could be achieved under a BNP administration, for the wicked and evil shepherds would be weeded out from the Church, the misguided re-educated (perhaps by sending them to live and work in traditional African parishes for several years). A good beginning would be to appoint Bishop Michael Nazir Ali to the See of Canterbury.

  13. Yes, the dhimmi Archbishop is a buffoon, a fool, an idiot etc., etc., but look at the “big picture”. A few thousand years ago, the smartest people were, arguably, the Greeks and they believed in many gods all as effective or ineffective as the current acceptance of a single god.

Today we think of ourselves as smarter than the Greeks and in my opinion the need for a god to explain the mysteries of the universe has long since passed its sell-by date, due to the total lack of evidence to support the existence of a god.

Oh, for all of you desperately reaching for your computers in abject indignation, ask yourselves a question; is there a correlation between ignorance, or to put it more kindly, lack of understanding and belief in god(s)? I know the answer and so does the dhimmi Archbishop and the vast majority of his clergy.

It is not unreasonable to at least ask that the man does not betray us, his predecessor Dr George Carey was far superior and Williams appears to be a typically hopeless Blair appointment. Summed up in two words he is a Holy Fool - Ed

  14. Why doesn’t Dr. Williams merely convert to the Islamic faith? After all, he is constantly apologising for being a Christian by virtue of his statements. As far as I am concerned, he no longer speaks for the Christian faith.

  20. We need the Bishop of York or the Bishop of Rochester to tell this “clown” the truth about Islam.

The sooner either of these two men are running the Church of England, the better! They seem to be the only people standing up for Christian truths.

Has God deceived the church for 2000 years? By denying us the truth about Islam? I think not!

  21. Williams knows exactly what he’s doing. This isn’t a simple sell out to Islam. In order to create the UN’s desired ‘One World Church’ Williams is using the appeasement of the repugnant Islamic death cult as a means of dividing the Anglican communion (see also the gay union/ordination/female ordination rows).
Many conservative Anglican Christians will be driven to join the UN approved Church of Rome, while the Anglican Church will be numerically so weakened that it will become an irrelevance. After that, only the Papacy will be in a position to fill the spiritual void as the supposed lesser of two evils, in the battle between Christianity and Islam.
Williams needs to go and quickly - but who is there that is fit to replace him??

    Posted by trueblueloyalist | July 16, 2008, 8:57 am
  22. You would never, ever see a Mulim cleric speaking about Islam in the same manner that Dr. Williams speaks about Christianity.

Whilst not a practicing Christian, I was baptised and confirmed in the faith, and I can understand the outrage that devoted Christians must be feeling about Dr. Williams’ comments.

I have always been of the firm opinion that if you believe in something, then you should be prepared to stand up and be counted for that belief. It would appear that Dr. Williams faith has withered, or that indeed he never had any to start with.

Well, Dr. Williams, just remember that if you carry on like you are right now, then although God may forgive your sins, it’s unlikely that British Christians will be so forgiving when they are forced to live under Sharia law.

  23. Like Peter Oborne and Prince Charles, the Archbishop is either a willing dhimmi or a crypto-Muslim. Give it a few more years and we will be seeing many more of them emerging from the woodwork. Of course, there are aspects of Christianity unpalatable to moslems, just as there are aspects of Voodoo unpalatable to Buddhists and aspects of Shinto that do not appeal to devout Jews. Who cares? These aspects are called “differences”. Read my lips: they are not all the same. This is the essence of diversity. A revelation that the real aim of the Powers That Be is a world of khaki-coloured people worshipping a cack-coloured god. How cack-handed can a leader of a major religion be? (Interestingly, the derivation of “cack-handed” is from “cack” meaning faeces with reference to the Koranic rules that only the left hand should be used for cleaning the “unclean” part of the human body. Although khaki is supposed to ultimately derive from a Persian word meaning “earth”, I would submit it actually means “s***-coloured”.)

  27. ‘Despite Jesus’ words in John’s gospel, Christianity has been promoted at the point of the sword’.. Islam has been supported in the same way’.

The difference of course is that violence and oppression is diametrically opposed to the the teachings of Christ, whereas it is fully in line with the teachings of Mohammed. There is no equivalence in teaching. Rowan is careful not to say that there is, but the impression given nevertheless is that there is equivalence, and this must be his intention.

  28. Funny that I find aspects of the Muslim religion extremely offensive - IE
    - Subjucation of women / lack of women’s rights / beating your wife
    - Thighing of children
    - Slavery
    - Quranic calls to murder non-muslims
    - the Jizzya (SP?) Tax and second rate legal treatment of dhimmis
    - The allowance of slave rape
    - Muhammad’s child abuse
    - Muhammad’s murder of captured POW’s
    - Muhammad’s claim that he is God’s only prophet
    - Muhammad’s ownership of slaves
    - The principle of Taqqiya, that lying to unbelievers in the name of ISlam is perfectly acceptable

And that is just in 10 seconds off the top of my head…..but what I find offensive is not of course of importance to the Meeja and establishment as I am an indigenous non-muslim Briton…..

  30. ‘despite the Qur’anic axiom.’

    What axiom might that be?

‘Mohammed’s practice and constant encouragement of bloodshed are unique in the history of religions. Murder, pillage, rape, and more murder are in the Kuran, and in the traditions seems to have impressed his followers with the profound belief in the value of bloodshed as openng the gates of Paradise. ‘Kill. kill the unbelievers wherever you find them’ is an injunction both unambiguous and powerful.’ (Ibn Warraq (1995 P349. Quoted by Trikovic, The Sword of The Prophet’)

Rowan does Christianity no favours by appearing to find an equivalence between it and this wicked creed.

  33. ” we have religious freedom in this country to believe or not to believe as our conscience dictates, it was out of the struggle for religious liberty that our political freedoms came to be won; Islam which does not permit religious liberty is not suprisingly therefore antithetical to political freedom - Ed”

That statement is absolutely spot on. Islam is a religous culture which is purely theocratic. There is no other way for Moslems. It therefore follows that Moslems simply cannot integrate into any tolerant, democratic society because their own system is diametrically opposite.

History has proved, time and time again, that when a host nation allows people from alien cultures to settle among them, there will eventually be a clash of cultures for eventual dominance.

With the current and sustained, cowardly appeasement of the aliens amongst us, with the ruling classes and their agents being the most complicit, we are gradually losing our freedoms and will, if we are not careful, be completely subsumed by the aliens and their culture.

  38. People are voting with their feet. The Church of England now has no more relevance that a seaside Punch and Judy show (or should that be the Julian and Sandy show?).The true Christians are either converting to Rome or seeking a schism. It will be a pyrrhic victory for the marxists. They will inherit an empty house.

That such a bedrock of British life should now have become such a joke - being a front for Stonewall and feminist activists - is hilarious. All the while, Christians are deserting the Anglican church and Christians abroad are suffering vile discrimination at the hands of the same Islamists that Williams has prostrated himself before.

Thank God we still have Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy to stand as bulwarks against the twin evils of Marxism and Islamism.

  54. The Anglican church at present seems to be more pre-occupied with the issue of Gay and Women ministers, but the vanguard of opposition to these so-called “reforms” is coming from an unlikely source - Africa. I caught a very interesting interview this morning with an Anglican minister from Rwanda who spoke very strongly of “genocide” within the Anglican church and also of the need for a “second reformation”. Whilst there was no mention of the appeasement of Islam, if Black members of the Anglican church are prepared to take a stand it could pose a very interesting dilemma for the Liberal/Marxist/Common Purpose fraternity.

I accept that Christianity is the foundation of this country, and for it to acquiesce to Islam is heresy. Normally in war the enemy encroaches on its enemy bit by bit, piece by piece, taking the smaller weaker elements of the opposition’s country and institutions, and consolidating them before the next attack. What is happening here is truly frightening! The enemy are not only fighting us at the edges but also at our very heart. And those entrusted with that position of protecting and promoting the ’soul’ of this country are welcoming its destruction and suicide.
