Yes - but why can’t “Cleggy” pay for his own home improvements?

Is your home a little rundown? Could your kitchen do with replacing? Is your garden in a state? Then don’t worry – all you have to do (if you happen to be an Honourable Member that is) is to hand the contractors’ bills to the Parliamentary authorities, who will arrange for the taxpayer to pick up your tab! And, even better, when you eventually get around to selling your “taxpayer improved” property – you get to pocket every single penny of any profit! God bless the taxpayer – the patron saint of “Honourable Members” everywhere!

If the media is correct then Nick Clegg, said to be the leader of the Lib-Dems, apparently knows this all too well.

However, what we wonder is why Mr. Clegg and a great many other Honourable members, don’t pay for the upkeep of their properties themselves – after all, they are the only ones benefiting from the exercise!

According to Manchester Evening News:-

LIBERAL Democrat leader Nick Clegg has revealed he spent a whopping £147,000 in expenses over the last year.

Mr Clegg published his Commons expenses on a Lib Dem website after putting down a challenge to the other political party leaders to do the same.

He reveals he claimed £7,000 of taxpayers’ money to repair his Sheffield home which was in a neglected condition when he bought it in early 2006.

The money was used to repair and decorate the kitchen, living room and garden.

More on how Nick Clegg spent our money here .

No wonder the Lib-Dem leader has a smile on his face!

  1. They are all as bad as each other. The whole lot of Westminster Swine should be investigated by the police for fraud.

  2. They are doing all of this before the EU takes over and Parliament is closed.
That leaves the rest of us up the creek without a paddle.

But they are building a large structure upstream that looks remarkably like a parliament building.
Its called the Olympic Mega Mosque, or something like that. - Ed

  3. How the heck can you spend £147,000 a year in expenses?

  4. falcons1988: I’m happy to volunteer, just so we can find out - you know, in the interests of the common purpose I mean people!

How corrupt does ‘corrupt’ get? These parasites are catching up with the criminals in the European parliament. Soon, this disgusting conspiracy of dictatorship and self-enrichment is going to permeate into every level of British society.

    If we allow it.

  5. Let’s face it.If you are a member of a corrupt, criminal gang of scum, and you happen to be running a timid, voiceless population, who you have brainwashed into believing every word you say,AND,you have an equally corrupt police force in your pocket,is it any wonder that you will get worse and greedier by the day? Are you desperately seeking someone who you can trust,in order to put your faith in them when it comes to voting time? Someone who will put their own fellow countrymen and women at the front of the queue when it comes to jobs, housing and a host of other facilities that have been taken away from them? Every one of the indigenous population who has visited this website will surely know by now that there is only one group of people who fit the bill.Your own fellow Brits, thats who! And where will you find them?Yes, right here. The BNP have been begging you to listen to sense for a few years now.If this party are not telling the truth, why are the liblabcon traitors so afraid of us that they are using every trick in the book to try to silence us?Surely,if we were lying, they would have nothing to be afraid of.But they know from their own experience that liars need really good memories, and the BNP has exposed their own lies and deceit time after time. The truth will stand any scrutiny and come out on top.

  6. Here we go again - more grabbing at the public purse to finance an MP’s lifestyle. What can be done about it? Well, for a start, bombard your representatives (what a sick joke that is) with letters, faxes, text messages, etc. telling them how you, the Joe Public who foots their bills, think of this disgraceful situation. Don’t just think about, moan a little then join the queue at the nearest petrol statiion, ACT. The bastards won’t feel a thing unless the electorate as a whole gives a public voice to their justified discontent.

  7. And the people keep on voting them in, and in, and in…

Can we all send downing street a bill for our renovations? Why not? After all it is our taxes they’re using!

And the corrupt gangsters Lib/Lab/Con, have the audacity to snub the BNP! there’s not an honourable one amongst them.

  8. Sorry to be off topic, Ed, but (to pick you up on your earlier comment) are they actually building that bl**dy monstrosity of a megamosque in West Ham after all? I thought it wasn’t getting planning permission. If that filthy great alien abortion is actually going up, I’m emigrating.

  9. Once upon a time being a politician was like being a doctor or a nurse. You were doing the job to help, change things, make things better etc etc. Now the job is like being an illegal immigrant, free housing, fleecing the country of its money, ducking and diving with all sorts of illegal deals and you cant find them when you want them.. Unfortunately we only have ourselves to blame because when you leave a kid in a candy store you cant moan when they eat all the sweets..We need a massive political revolution a change from the stale old ways and parties, bring in something new and fresh with the native people at their hearts. BE PROUD TO BE WHITE AND VOTE BNP……..

  10. Its a great shame we cannot get this out to the wider public. With the prices gas, electric, petrol and food going through the roof and Mr & Mrs Average finding it very difficult to cope. You would think that the Liberals of all people would show a little constraint in their spending. But like some hopeless addict they just cannot help themselves can they? If the public knew the full extent of Liblabcon gluttony it may turn even the most ardent supporter. Because even a blind man on a galloping horse can see they simply could not a flying one for the man and woman on the street.
Once they are voted in it is a case of “Right! What’s in it for me?”

  11. As predicted, when the age of scarcity really does explode onto us, people will turn to the BNP for answers and the sleaze of the one-party-with-three-names will be considered shameful and despicable. It’s started already, if you look at the groundbreaking election results, and this my friends is merely the start.
