Richard Barnbrook Becomes BNP’s First Representative on the GLA!

British National Party supporters celebrated all night at the news that Richard Barnbrook had won the party’s first seat on the Greater London Assembly. The breakthrough, described by media observers as the party’s “most significant electoral victory to date” will see the BNP propelled into the very centre of the government of our capital city.

Richar’ds success came after several target areas polled extremely well for the BNP, including more than 12 per cent of the vote in Havering and Redbridge, almost 10 per cent of the vote in City & East, and six per cent in Ealing & Hillingdon.

In the City and East constituency, where Bob Bailey stood as a first-past-the-post candidate, the BNP polled 9.82% of the vote.

Deputy leader Simon Darby, said a seat on the London Assembly was “the icing on the cake”, and the BNP’s “equivalent of getting into the Premiership”.

The victory will undoubtedly send shockwaves through the establishment, and comes in spite of tampering with the ballot boxes, generally hostile media coverage and a huge (and probably illegal) third-party campaign against the BNP, run by the Communist extremish front organisations, working on behalf of the other parties.

The BNP’s breakthrough in London has important implications: it has shown the public at large that the BNP is a credible, electable party, which can achieve representation at all levels of government. The way has now been cleared for further breakthroughs, and the bell has now sounded for the floodgates of popular British opinion to be opened, and sweep away the debris of the old parties.

The full results for the London Assembly election are:-

Assembly representation.

1.Conservative Party 835,535 34.05%
2.The Labour Party 665,443 27.12%

6.The Christian Choice 70,294 2.86%
7.Abolish the Congestion Charge 63,596 2.59%

11.Left List 22,583 0.92%
12.Unity for Peace & Socialism 6,394 0.26%

  1. Can I just be the first to say “”CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!”"
Well Done to the tireless efforts of The British National Party, what a proud day for Britain.

  5. Congratulations to Richard and all the BNP team and supporters. This is the first step in reclaiming our country. I must add that I am disgusted with the lack of coverage by the media over this sensational result, but this is what we have come to expect. The best way to get the BNP message over is talk to people you come in contact with, the snowball effect will lead to greater victories.

  7. A great achievement. Let’s build on it and be cautious not to fall into the trap of resting on our laurels.
By the way: is it not interesting how the establishment politicians are the only ones who oppose implementing tighter controls on the electoral process? I wonder why?

  8. Well done Richard and all the BNP workers for making this happen. Despite the bad manners of Johnson and CO who walked out when
Richard gave his speech last night , he is an ideal representative of the BNP views and they cannot walk out when he speaked at the Assembly. Go for it Richard , maybe now the Media will take the BNP seriously. After all they cannot ignore the views of nearly 70 thousand voters.
More important I look upon this as being a great day for the UK citizens , for once we have a politician who is working for them and not the foreigner.

  9. Congratulations! This is brilliant news - no wonder the main candidates walked off stage! What was an obviously pre-arranged stunt to try and show unity backfired terribly and made them look like spoilt and ungracious brats - pathetic. Let them have their silly moments, because they know we’re coming. Our vote percentage where we stood was incredible, and even the BBC’s Newsnight had to show us in a neutral light, which, to be fair, was good of them. I don’t expect the likes of the BBC to blow sunshine up our backsides, but I do expect them to report fairly, which they have been doing of late. Once again, congratulations to all of our candidates and those who put in so much hard work behind the scenes.

  10. Fantastic news !
The world is a slightly better place this morning, no more nasty hateful Ken, a major humiliating defeat for the Nuscum right across the country, and last but not least an enhanced Greater London Assembly with the addition of a true Brit fighting for the rights of our own people.
With the obvious meltdown of Labour and the inevitable election of the Tories in the next general election, I can see some light at the end of the tunnel. The tactics of suppression which Labour has tried against the people of Britain has clearly failed miserably (up yours searchlight), and it must be obvious to the Conservatives that they can not afford to go down the same murky path of hate and underhandedness when they come to power. We will not let this country slip through our fingers, keep calling us names, but we are here to stay, and we will fight you all the way in defence of what we love.

  12. This is MUCH BIGGER news than the TweedleRed/TweedleBlue changing of the guard.

While Boris’s victory represents ‘business as usual,’ Richard Barnbrook’s victory is a complete departure from the decades of poisonous politics that threaten our national existence. MUCH BIGGER NEWS!

  13. Here’s poem ‘wot I wrote’ to celebrate our election victories:

    THE LION’S RETURN

Dedicated to Richard ‘The Lionheart’ Barnbrook

The Lion’s been missing these many long years
In his absence the country has sunk to its knees
Its people once proud are brought down so low
by false-hearted rulers who don’t seem to know
that Britain is great by its culture and race
not the influx of strangers and their dissonant ways
that have nothing to do with our land and our soil
and the nation we built with our blood and our toil
and defended so stoutly for a thousand years straight
This is the reason that Britain was Great

The Lion’s been missing since the war that was fought
to save the whole planet from Hitler’s onslaught
He fought then so bravely and his power and roar
saved the whole world in that terrible war
But wounded in battle he soon disappeared
and no-one has seen him these many long years
In his absence our country has gone to the dogs
forgotten its pride, lost faith in its gods
The Lion himself is now held in deep scorn
by those whom he saved before they were born

It is said that the Lion has died long ago
but if that be the truth then why can’t they show
the bones of the beast, his skin and his teeth
The death of the Lion’s not a thing to believe
Missing he may be, but rumors run rife
that the great beast’s been heard, far off in the night
and some say his paw marks were recently seen
in the cities of England and on its fields still so green
The fools who have ruled us, the people will spurn
and the Lion, revived, to his den will return

I am not a BNP member but an ardent supporter, the mayor may be a clown but the assembly has the genius of Richard Barnbrook; the voice of true reason!

  23. Congratulations to the BNP, the London BNP teams and Richard Barnbrook,

This is just the beginning of the British National Revolution.

First the GLA and then the Euro Elections.

The Red Citadel of London has fallen - Red Ken has been kicked out, his cronies like Lee Jasper are under police investigation and will also be sacked, no more will public money be used to subsidise the pathetic far left circus in London and the BNP is now able to represent the interests of indigenous Londoners and put them first for a change.

As the New Dawn arose over London this morning the air must have smelt so much sweeter, now that the stench of communist corruption, cant and hypocrisy is no longer being vented from the GLA building.

It was interesting to see how much contempt the Liberati, their Armani suited remora and the parasite politicians of the Establishment parties treat democracy as when they walked out on Richards speech.

The BNP represent the interest of the minority in London who have been abandoned, betrayed and forgotten by the establishment parties - the indigenous Londoners.

When the political parties treat the BNP with contempt they spit in the face of the indigenous British people, British culture and London.

The BNP can now give a voice to the indigenous Londoners, those who have watched their city be stolen from them and handed over to the ethnics and immigrants by the establishment parties.

Sooner or later Boris the Plonker will mess up and discredit the Tories in London, and reveal just how mauch of an ass he is and thereby reveal the innate stupidity of Camerons Conservatives.

The votes for the Tories were not votes for Tories, they were votes against Red Ken and Brown.

Everyone hates Red Ken (except the demented liberals )and Gordon Brown and most people just voted Tory tactically to get Ken out and give Brown a kick in the arse.

The vote for the BNP was achieved despite media lies, mass postal ballot fraud, ballot box tampering, stolen votes and the largest influx of immigrants into London in British history all of whom were given a vote and used it to vote against the BNP.

In spite of all these factors the BNP TRIUMPHED !

Today will be remembered as the dawn of a new era for London, one where the indigenous London folk rose up and demanded that London listen to them and the voice of the silent majority.

The BNP are winning in all areas and now have a seat on the GLA how fantastic is that! Now let’s get out there and show them what the BNP can really do.

  29. Progress is really being made now. I attended the election count at Crawley as a representative of Brighton BNP and despite some apprehension I never recieved one negative comment or saw anybody giving us nasty dissaproving looks as was to be expected. I did notice the photographers though, they seemed very keen to take lots of snaps of the BNP people. I doubt many of the photographs of us will find their ways into newspapers or magazines because they do not portray us how the corrupt media traditionally like to put us across. The BNP people, males and females, young and old, were all smartly dressed and wearing their red white and blue rosettes with pride, which is more than could be said for some of the red rosette wearers, who looked as if they had been dragged through a hedge backwards the moment they got out of bed fully clothed.

I watched the news throughout the evening, hoping to see Richard Barnbrook get elected on to the GLA. At around midnight I listened to both BJ and KL make speeches, then as Richard stepped up to speak, Sky News cut him off, clearly demonstrating the sort of democracy our elite are being killed for on far away shores.

While congratulating Richard Barnbrook on his excellent achievement lets not forget all hundreds of other people up and down the country who worked very hard toward and stood at these elections. The Crawley candidates, while not winning any seats, gained around 16 per cent of the votes, fantastic when you take into account the large percentage of ethnic minority voters who would not even consider voting for a BNP candidate. Very well done to you all!

  30. Well done Richard and all the team, at last the British people appear to be waking up. It’s now onwards and upwards. The only disapointment last night was having to sit through Boris and Red Ken’s speeches, only for the Beeb not to show Richard’s, nothing new there then! Once again, well done BNP! By the way I wonder how Tiddles Galloway is feeling this morning, thats one cat who didn’t get the cream!

  38. I discovered the news from Simon Darby’s blog at 3am this morning, then proceed to pace around the house because there was only me up to tell about it. This is simply the best news, of the best news. Congratulations to you Richard and everybody in the BNP that’s helped make this happen.
Sadly I can’t bring myself to express the same jubilation for Boris Johnson. The man has point blank refused to exercise the decency to acknowledge or properly address Richard and the BNP. This lack of communication ability made him unsuitable as a contender for election as mayor before any other issue. If he had an ounce of decency in him, he’d resign (not likely).
The combination of newly elected councillors’ working hard in the community coupled with Richards new voice via the GLA will bring exposure, popularity and support to the BNP at an exponential rate.
Great show all round BNP :^)

  41. Well done BNP. Congratulations to all those who made this success possible.

Amid the general euphoria, some more sober thoughts on the results. We didn’t do quite as well as had been predicted on these pages, having perhaps allowed ourselves to get a little carried away with the excitement of it all and not being entirely realistic. Still, (as the media reported this morning), the BNP now has a foot firmly in the door of mainstream British politics and considering the news blackout (except for deliberate lies and smears) attacks on the website and fraudulent voting practices (allegations of which must be pursued!) the results are really very encouraging.

I cannot believe that all those who voted for Boris Johnson and the Tories did so out of a sense of conviction in Tory policies. I rather suspect they voted AGAINST Livingstone and what Labour has done rather than FOR Johnson and Conservative policies. If this is so then what an indictment it is of democracy and a sad reflection on the state of politics in our country today. Unfortunately, people will still vote negatively until a system of proportional representation is in place, ensuring that no vote is wasted and that every one counts. The replacement of ‘first past the post’ with proportional representation must therefore be a priority.

Once the dust has settled I think we should look at ways to build on what Nick Griffen and other Party activists have achieved so far and re-open the debate on how we can widen the Party’s appeal. We already know the public favour most of our policies, but there are some controversial issues to be faced if we are to attract the much broader level of support needed to mount a serious challenge the liblabcons.

  42. Great result from London.Inspite of all the lies, attempted smears, fraud we now have a voice in London.I hope soon Richard will be seen as THE Voice of London. We are making progress and reaching the milestone of 100 councilors is a big step forward for us.The best aspect for me was the collapse of the UKIP vote in London.Although most of these voters seem to return to voting Tory(will they ever learn),I think come next years Euro elections there is a good chance many of these will desert UKIP for us.Next year could see a real breakthrough. Also, good for us,is the current high tide of Conservatism. In the past when the Tories do well parties on the right seem to suffer and fade. Not so this time.We still managed to make advances in important areas.I can see a great opportunity opening up for us in two to three years time when folk begin to realise how much they have been conned by Cameron.Once they are in power and have to deliver, many, many folks who gave them the benefit of the doubt this time will realise just how much voting Tory is just like voting Blue Labour. Also good for us is replacing Livingstone with Boris.Time will expose(what we already know)the total vaciousness of current Conservatism.Although I would not say time is on our side in the long run thanks to mass immigration(which will continue under Cameron),in the medium term the future holds great opportunities and promise for us.So we did not make as much progress as we hoped to do yesterday. But we certainly made progress and building the basis for reaching 1000 BNP councilors in the near future. When we look at 2008 with the perspective of History we will realise what an important election this was for us.

  43. Congratulations!

I knew you could do it. This is now the turning point for the BNP with them winning their first “big” election, although it won’t be their last.

My next door neighbours are members of the Green Party. They secretly knew a BNP MLA was inevitable and told me this morning it is a sad day for London. I replied it is a very happy day for London. They looked at me in disgust and replied that the Greens have an official policy not to work with the BNP and so will ignore Richard Barnbrook’s presence in meetings.

    -

The “Greens” are not Green. We all know that.
Nationalism connects people with the earth.
The BNP connects native Britons and all other races with their ancient, ancestral homeland. That’s what Green really means.
The so-called “Greens” want mass immigration to displace us in our own ancient, ancestral homeland.
That’s why they were in bed with Red Ken.
    Times are indeed changing.
We know who the so-called “Greens” really are.
But now the Searchlight shines on them!

We’re all very, very proud Richard and know you will take the BNP message and be a beacon of hope to those of all parties and those of none who have despaired that London was ever going to rise out from the under marxist clouds that Livingstone has inflicted upon the capital city for far too long.
Despite all of the odds you have triumphed. God be with you Richard and all who have helped achieve this truly remarkable result. We salute all of you and take great inspiration from your achievement.
Rest assured you have all of our best wishes from here in Worcestershire.

  46. Congratualtions to everyone involved, and especially to Richard, who has had to endure the full weight of the anti BNP machine. How nice to see Red Ken removed from his cosy little nest. There will be some worried people now, who used to suck up to the traitor. Let us now build on these fantastic results which show that even allowing for fraud, which I am convinced has been going on, and the continual biased reporting, and lies of the media, that the British public are waking up to what has been going on, and really do want to save our country for future generations. Onward and Upward!

  53. We should not let Richard’s success blind us to the question - why were the seals on the ballot boxes broken overnight Thursday/Friday whilst in “safe custody”? This, in turn, leads us to another question - how many votes did Richard/BNP REALLY get?

  55. Something I have noticed is a poor result for George Galloway’s Respect Party. Does this imply that the Muslim vote has now returned to Labour because they promise to build new mosques from taxpayer’s money? If it has, then it reminds me of child abuser trying to make up with the children he has abused by offering them bags of sweets, and the children falling for it. Some Londoners really do have short memories.

Congratulations to the BNP for success on May 1st and a voice for all the British people of London who have continually been undermined by political correctness & human rights of every other nationality. I hope this is the start of increased voting across the country to rid it of overseas spongers. Good Luck Richard and do it for London.

  58. All very democratic then? Walking off the stage when democratic candidate and representative of the people, Richard Barnbrook speaks. The Greens policy of not working with and ignoring the BNP (presumably this means Richard). They don’t care, it seems, for the views of the representative of a large number of people in London and they call us fascist!

Well done everyone especially Richard. I’m sure that you won’t let them ignore you, so stick to them when you are sitting on the Assembly. We will not be ignored.

  60. Congratulations Simon. What a difference a day makes, or should that be what a difference 0.33% makes. Well done to each and every voter. This is wonderful and I am supremely chuffed. I am off to Bulgaria to attend the Bulgarian Army’s military parade for its holiday on their St.George’s Day, May 6. Perhaps Simon could suggest to the GLA that they twin London with Sofia or Varna. That way we may get to have an official St George’s day parade ourselves. I mean a proper one with the whole country attending. More power to your elbow. Well done also to Nick Griffin’s vision and leadership. Take a look out of your window, Nick. Tell me. What do you see? I can see you, and I can now see me. Private joke from Nick’s song ICU. If and when the BNP get into power and tell the EU where to stick their federal state, is the BNP going to print their own money using Gold as the backing and burn all that fiat money (produced from thin air)?

  63. My warmest congratulations to Richard and his team, it is a well deserved victory and the light of hope to all who love this country.

For Richard though the real battle starts now. The spectacle of the the other members walking off the stage when Richard gave his speech is just a foretaste of things to come. They will go to any lengths to isolate him and at the same time his every word and action will be under the closest scrutiny. For Richard city hall will be a very lonely and dangerous place. He will be tested every day. The best the other trash can do now is to make sure Richard achieves nothing.
    Keep the faith Richard.

  64. http://results.londonelects.org.uk/Results/AssemblyResults.aspx
Full results for the Assembly from a London site. UKIP lost two seats; BNP got 1.. I’m certain there’s been fraud. (Note they say there’s been 0 percent change in all the percentages…) I suspect one seat was permitted as there may have been pressure otherwise.

11-8-3-2-1 split with Conservatives leading. Hm. Actually not that much change in elected seats no doubt because of ‘ethnic’ collusion.

    http://results.londonelects.org.uk/Results/MayoralResult.aspx
Livingstone’s downfall. I expect he genuinely believes he’s left wing, and still has contempt for the ‘pigmies’ (his word) who disliked his secret lying coteries.

Anyway congratulations to Richard. And indeed London itself. I believe the BNP will get some London funding now, too. And a few good BNP soundbites and comments must make some difference. He’ll need broad shoulders… Boris might prove an easy target though. And this website will grow in importance.

  66. Again, this is fantastic news and definately the icing on the cake that the BNP has deserved.

Last night I was appalled at the BBC’s insistent coverage of the 3 main parties. There was prett much zero mention about any of the other parties, who we may not like, but who have also worked hard to get their voices heard.

I decided to look on Sky News to see if there was any other info to be found regarding the BNP, but as expected, only coverage of the 3 main parties.

Congratulations to Richard and all the best for the upcoming future!

    Posted by ginger | May 3, 2008, 10:46 am
  67. Worth mentioning too the inbuilt proportional representation portion of the London voting system. I have no idea who thought up the system, but it does allow out-of-party voices to be heard, to an extent. Of course with full PR there would have been more BNP seats (and probably Green and others) and Lib Dems for that matter. But a thank-you to the designers of the system for recognising that big parties don’t always work.

  68. And still the BBC don’t let go.
On the Ceefax news page which reported Richard’s success, they said ‘critics (un-named, of course) are calling it a victory for violence, thuggery and stupidity’.
    I do despair.

  69. Tears in the eyes last night and this morning! That was one mighty step forward on the road to us winning OUR country back. I would like to go for a run but think that sitting on a park bench with a cigar outside the old mans hut in the warm sunshine will be more dignified for today. And wait for that long lost smile to grow broad again. Knowing that I/we are not alone after all is a good feeling.

For thirty years I waited to put my views across
For thirty years I had been told to be quiet
Had been told to say nothing
“Forty years you mean” said someone else.

Far too long we have waited
Some in sadness, some in vain, some unable to take the strain
Be it thirty or forty it is quite plain
    We will not wait again.

    The silence of the ‘stifled’
The silenced send this stern reply
Our silence we have paid for
    ‘It’s your turn now’

We have bowed, wept and watched
We have swelled in anger scorned
    No longer alone in silence
Our silence turns to venom for the truth to be unveiled.

For thirty years I waited to put my views across
“Forty you mean” said someone else
Far too long we have waited
And left it; to someone else.

I wander round this foreign town I used to proudly call my town
I wander round this foreign place my childhood dreams all gone
I think of all the wasted years that silence has inflicted
To those that laugh and grin and say “you don’t fit in”

To them I now reply “foreigner, simple or traitor, which category are you, all three?”
    Not me!
Never to be silenced for want of speaking out.

This needs to be built on and we must not screw this chance up with inter party squabbles etc.

I noted that the English National Party, Respect and UKIP failed miserably. My advice to the English Nationalists is join with the BNP and together we can speak with one very loud voice!

Well done Richard and his team in London and well done to the teams up and down the country who did a fantastic job.

  72. Well done to Richard for his success in the GLA. However, let this success not act as a diversionary tactic to appease the party.

While rejoicing in the success don’t lose sight of that fact that (I’ll counter) the BNP has been robbed.

What will the United Nations have to say on this election that has been sullied by ballot rigging, intimidation, media blackout, illegal third party interference, gerrymandering in the form of bought votes and the flood of government friendly immigrants…

This state of affairs needs to be published world wide. The people of the world MUST be told of the dictatorship that has replaced democracy in Britain.

Furthermore, the British army must be made aware of this.

  85. Fantastic News.

This party is being build on SOLID foundations and is truely the peoples party because we have had NO mass media coverage, or if we do it is negative.

This i believe in the long run will actually be to our benefit making us MORE dedicated, MORE together, STRONGER and much MORE sustainable.

130,000 odd votes is an awesome achievement and people from ALL over England should be congratulated - as people also travelled far and wide on our days of action.

Mass media coverage is important in terms of reaching the mainstream audience, however we have 2 huge advantages going for us as a party going forward in 2008:

    1) Loyal, dedicated, honest and trust worthy members.

    2) The internet. With internet penetration at 90% in the UK and rising, the establishment can not keep us quiet anymore and we are able to communicate to anyone and everyone our policies and our viewpoint.

So they will see we are not racist, angry, nasty people. But focused nationalists that care about our homeland, our values and way of life SO much and will never give in.

Well enjoy today one and all, especially you Richard Barnbrook you deserve a day off i think!!

    Warm congratulations.

While we both feel much safer now, we have never forgotten our homeland or the people who remain to face the subsidised immigrant onslaught. No-one should be angry or upset with the behaviour of the other “politicians” on the assembly, who showed their ignorance by walking out when Richard Barnbrook stepped forward to speak. In fact, we all should be very happy because their behaviour clearly shows their fear, fear that their day of judgement will soon be upon them. At least now we have someone standing up for us, objecting to the, “oh, we can’t breach the non conforming minority’s rights so lets give them whatever they want and sod the consequences”.
England is a fantastic country, the British Empire used to control such a large proportion of the world. Lets get the pride back in our nation, teach the young to be proud of their culture and history.

  103. When you are right, you just know you are! One of the things that cements my love and commitment to the British National Party is witnessing some of the appalling and cretinous behavior of our opponents representatives on big election nights. Win or lose, BNP folk ALWAYS conduct ourselves with dignity, grace, and courtesy to everybody else involved.
Last night in City Hall however, some of the other parties antics were beyond pathetic. UKIP’s humiliated Mayoral candidate for example, conducted himself during his speech with no more decorum than one of the unwashed far-left imbeciles who hurl childish abuse at us whenever they can get more than 3 or 4 of them to turn up!
As one Tory activist I was chatting to in City Hall last night said to me, “Gerald Batten embarrassed himself, big time”.
If any UKIP members or voters are reading this, your party is a JOKE and you are being represented by some seriously low-calibre people. For Gods sake get out of that hopeless Micky Mouse outfit and help the BNP give our children a British future instead!

No names of course, just some obscure critics - probably within the BBC itself. I thought they were there to report the news not make it up. I never even knew the true meaning of hatred, violence and stupidity until Tony Blair’s New Labour came to town - and served up Iraq amongst other evils.

I see the Turk has already started to set out his stall on how he is going to cut crime in the Capital. Of course you will Boris - hug a knife wielding, gun toting hoody?

Our elites have chosen ethnic cleansing of the evil ‘whitey’ as a way of curing there own pathetic guilt about colonialism etc.

  117. I’m pleased to say that I voted for Richard on Thursday.
There were also so many people I know in my area who voted for them(Hillingdon).
When will the other 3 parties finally wake up and realise that it is THEY who are causing divisions?
Well done Richard….just keep keeping your cool! :)

  118. In a pre-arranged action knowing that at the outset the BNP would win representation in the London assembly, Boris and his friends in the Lib Dems/Labour staged a pathetic dummy-throwing stunt when the victorious BNP candidate Richard Barnbrook made his speech.
They pointedly walked out, showing their real lack of respect for democracy and its outcome. The pre-emptor for Mugabe-style political oppression. This will return to haunt them, especially as it shows their blindness and pig-ignorance as to WHY the BNP were elected, and their total intransigence and avoidance of the main issue in the UK today, Race and Immigration.
Polls which include a cross-ection of ALL party sympathizers in the press consistently show 70-75% consider immigration excessive and problematic.

The result? The pathetic idiots of the Lib-Lab-Con cosy triumvirate show how much, from the outset, they are really prepared to listen to the people. It simply further cements the belief that the BNP are the ONLY party who will address and deal with this crucial issue which pervades all areas of our lives today, and will NOT pander to aggressive and burdensome minorities to perpetuate their own paid office.
Fun to see LibLabCon’s bottoms squeaking in indignation as a new force they don’t understand snaps at their ankles and threatens their cosy power-arranging.

  119. Listening to Richards speech on BBC web page. Thanks BBC(thats a first). It was trully an unusual speech.Unusual because for once a politician actually said what he really felt and believed in.That made it special.Speak from the heart with passion and you find polish and spin are not needed.A great speech because, for the first time,I actally heard a politician say something that made sense and to which very few could reasonably disagree. The idiots that marched off the stage when Richard stept forward might have learnt something if they had stayed. They might have just noticed that the truth works and that,in the end, the truth will out and will always win through.Well done again Richard, you are very much a breath of fresh air in British politics. Not only that you demonstrated that you are head and shoulders above those PC pigmies.

  120. Congratulations to Richard, wonderful news!
Well done also to our other elected councillors as well as those who missed out this time but tried so hard; to the activists supporters and behind-the-scenes people for their hard work all around the country.
Plus a special thank you and “Well done!” to all the thousands of people who voted BNP; you’re real stars -welcome to the BNP family!

On a related note note: there may be another reason why Boris at least couldn’t wait to listen to Richard; he was due at a champagne and caviare bash at Bankside, so I suppose he couldn’t wait any longer to get to the trough. I imagine a similar lush party awaited Ken too. Nothing wrong with a celebration/commiseration party, but I wonder who paid for those…the taxpayers of London?
Listeners heard about Boris’s do during an interview with his sister on a phone-in programme last night. She also informed us that “London belongs to him” and “He doesn’t need Henley any more”. Perhaps it’s just her opinion only of course… I’m sure Londoners would be surprised if their new Mayor considered the Capital his property! And the good people of Henley would not be enchanted to know that they can be tossed aside by their MP now that he’s got somewhere better.
Either way, such dreadful manners and abuse at the Count indicate bad breeding or poor upbringing, unlike those Candidates who showed manners and courtesy by staying to listen. I would like to thank them; their attitude is so refreshing when compared to the ghastly boors who left the stage, and/or were guilty of abuse. I don’t know about anywhere else, but in Leicestershire we have an expression for their sort: Common as muck.

  121. Well done everyone on some fantastic results in the face of adversity.

Looks like the Liebour are indeed worried about the BNP:

“This is a problem which is not only not going away - it’s getting worse. Now they have an office and staff in City Hall itself.”

    http://www.labourhome.org/story/2008/5/2/22431/72897

Too right it’s getting worse..for the greedy politicians that have been destroying our country. For the rest of us, things can (and will) only get better!

  122. This is a fantastic result for the BNP,all the dirty tricks that were used against our party by the communist bully boys, made no difference to the result.I have just watched richards great speech, this is a guy that will go far,he made the other bad mannered candidates look stupid.Congratulations and thanks to everybody that slogged their guts out across the country to make this an historic occasion.I am so relieved that finally we have such a great person in richard representing our viewpoint. We are with you every step of the way.

  123. Our great march to power has many milestones.
The first milestone was the triumph of Derek Beacon. They said we couldn’t do it
The second was the saved deposit by J Tyndall in Dagenham. They said it would never happen.
The third milestone is the exellent success of Richard Ceur De Lion.Elected by 130.000 souls onto the GLA. they said no chance.
The next milestone MEP’s next June. Will they dare to say it will not happen.
    Then Westminster. It will happen.

  124. “This is Britain, it is for the British people… it is not for people to enter into this land dictating what will or will not happen to the people that created it and built it over generations.”

    - Richard Barnbrook, on being elected on to the GLA.

Considering the man had just spent all day and half the night looking at broken seals on ballot boxes, being haranged by rent-a-mob and hearing about interference at the polling booths, I thought he showed admirable restraint.

As for the infantiles who walked out, well they’d better get used to the idea that democracy wasn’t invented for their convenience. Learning to behave like grown adults, and demonstrating a little grace, wouldn’t do any harm either.

The truth is, the BNP should probably have three councillors on the GLA. THE TRUTH WILL OUT. We will not allow this country to sink into the pits of Third World-style political corruption and the casual abuse of the democratic process: End of debate.

Well done Richard and the British National Party!

  125. Well done Richard Barnbrook and BNP. Great speech too Richard. Genuine and from the heart. Good luck with all your endeavours everyone. You’ve stuck to your guns and now you’re starting to break through. What more proof do we need that our time has come.

  126. Just like everyone else, I’m so pleased and excited. Congratulations to one and all - the BNP’s success has certainly been an inspiration to Karl Baxter and GamlegormtheWhite - poets, not the thugs the BNP is portrayed as being by the media and just the image we should be projecting.

If we could now beef up policies concerning, for example, green issues arising from massive uncontrolled immigration, imminent EU tyranny, our Christian identity, true democracy, unity under one flag, peace from terrorism and crime within our borders and, last but not least, congestion charges in the City, we should be able to broaden our appeal to those parties that did less well, whose members might then very possibly join a more viable one that also tackled their issues.

  131. Pete Doherty, and the rest of the low life, left wing dross in the TV world, the media, and mindless political dinosaurs, have no one else to blame. All the might of our political, racial, and cultural opponents, now have a bigger headache - what if the people have a mouthpiece, and an ear to what is being done behind their backs? Sheer bliss, and well done again Richard and TEAM BNP.

  132. I can’t believe it. Surely my eyes are deceiving me. The BBC has a link to our BNP site on their news page.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7219747.stm

I also noticed last night that some of the BBC crew were taking a great delight at the dire discomfort of the Labour Party.

Perhaps the wicked witch of the west is dead and the munchins are free. FREE AT LAST.

I also noticed that the BBC is about the only media who have mentioned the BNP.

The media paper are still slaves to their multinational masters and must not utter the magic words of freedom. BNP. BNP. BNP.

It won’t be long now. We have someone on the inside to watch their every move. No more slavery by stealth.

    I’m so excited.

I feel like voting in a referendum.

  140. Congratulations to Richard, not that you would have known of his success by reading the mainstream media who, as usual, imposed a news blackout.
I strongly suspect that the BNP got far more votes than the “official” figures given. My suspicions were raised as soon as I went to vote and saw that only pencils were being provided to mark your X. I wonder how much of the delay in providing the result was caused by those counting the votes being busy with erasers and pencils of their own.
Whilst it is great news I am sure the party are aware that Richard will need all the help and protection possible as our left wing friends and their puppet masters will be doing everything in their power to silence/neutralize him.
However for now it is a time for celebration, once again, well done Richard.

  143. I can’t resist trying to be entry #144 here, as it’s a perfect square and this seems slightly relevant to human history and the Egyptians and Greeks.

I went to school in Henley and quite like the place. Let’s hope this is a breakthrough. Let’s hope that many other cultures, groups, ethnic types and subsets of the human race generslly get some support from this.

  144. Thanks SheriffofNottingham.

I’m not exactly Wordsworth or Rabbie Burns, but I can’t help finding the heroic struggle of the BNP inspiring. The story of the BNP and its members is the epic story of our day.

What is inspiring about our Richard the Lionheart is his sheer passion for what he believes in. He is the heart of the BNP, just as Nick Griffin is the cool, calm, effective brain of the movement.

  145. Apart from all the excellent news surrounding Mr. Barnbrook and the BNP, I heard a song on Radio 2 by Bing Crosby, recorded in 1944, called “Swinging on a star”. It describes the Lib/Lab/Con act to a tee. The ’swinging on a star’ bit is, of course, reference to our illustrious BNP family.

Would you like to swing on a star
Carry moonbeams home in a jar
And be better off than you are
Or would you rather be a mule

    (Gordon Brown Verse)
A mule is an animal with long funny ears
He kicks up at anything he hears
His back is brawny - and his brain is weak
Hes just plain stupid with a - stubborn streak

And by the way, if you hate to go to school
You may grow up to be a mule

Would you like to swing on a star
Carry moonbeams home in a jar
And be better off than you are
Or would you rather be a pig

    (John Prescot Verse)
A pig is an animal with dirt on his face
His shoes are a terrible disgrace
He aint got no manners when he eats his food
Hes fat and lazy - and extremely rude

But if you dont care a feather or a fig
You may grow up to be a pig

Would you like to swing on a star
Carry moonbeams home in a jar
And be better off than you are
Or would you rather be a fish

    (Red Ken Verse)
A fish wont do anything but swim in a brook
He cant write his name or read a book
And to fool the people is his only thought
Though he’s slippery - he still gets caught
But then if that sort of life is what you wish
You may grow up to be a fish

    (Parliament Verse)
And all the monkeys aren’t in a zoo
Every day you meet quite a few
So you see its all up to you
You can be better than you are
You could be swinging on a star

Background music to the next P.E.B. perhaps?

  148. I think every one was hoping for two or three on the GLA, perhaps we was robbed but i’ll tell you this.
I was up leeds for Nick and Mark’s second trial day one. The red mobette ( couldn’t call it a mob )were making a fair bit of noise. Richard Barnbrook arrived, took charge of our megaphone and proceeded to give them a piece of his mind. Guess what,,,, they stopped shouting and listend.
There was maybe 40, 50. So the moral of this post is Richard against 24 GLA members and one Boris we should be feeling sorry for them it will be so one sided.
