Of Pigs and Troughs

At a time when food, fuel, mortgage, rent, council tax and transport costs are rising at a rate far in excess of pay rises and families, the length and breadth of Britain, are forced to cut back on their spending. A time when an increasing number of hard working families are having their homes repossessed and young couples are finding it next to impossible to afford a home of their own – one would have thought that our “hard working” MPs would be showing a little uncharacteristic restraint on the pay and perks front – would you not?

Not so, apparently, as – according to a Daily Express article – our parliamentary parasites are just about to award themselves a 25% pay increase – taking their miserable £60,000 per annum salaries up to around £75,000.

Yet, in the final analysis, can you blame pigs for gorging themselves when placed before the trough? Clearly, the electoral lemmings that voted for the parasitic representatives of the porcine parties have only themselves to blame!

  1. I presume that our national saviour Gordon Mugabe Brown is the middle one and obviously the other 2 are Cleg and Cameron.
Thanks Ed must be the best one I’ve seen yet.

  2. 25% pay increase. Some people only earn 25% of the MP’s salaries, without the self-awarded (there’s democracy for you) pay increase. And they don’t get the expenses that these parasites get, which amount to several times many peoples wages.
These people wouldn’t last two minutes in industry, they couldn’t organize the proverbial p.ss up in a brewery.
Lining, feathers and nest spring to mind. But then of course they are very like vultures.

  4. I wonder if this will get into the papers - they will have to be careful now not to ’sully’ the good name of those ‘heroic’ pigiticians who will oppose the ‘thuggish, fascist, neo-pseudo-semi-nazi’ BNP for the good of Britianistan.

    Silly? Not in my head!

  5. Here I am again as Whistle, thanks to the nice people in HQ. We all (those of us who care about the state of this Country) know why they are trying to do this, and I must say that I don’t blame them. We now have proof that Parliament will be no more after the Lisbon Treaty comes into force. MPs know this very well, but haven’t the guts to say it–come to that, no media outlet will admit it either.

Is it too late to do anything about it? Enoch was right, when the penny drops there may well be rivers of blood flowing. Oh! Why do the Elite hate us so much? Will we ever win? I do hope so, and when we do, we MUST try these useless bastards for what they are- traitors to the core the whole lot of them. Sorry for the language, but these people really get to me.

  6. I don’t get paid as much as my company bosses and civil servants, therefore *I* want a pay increase!

Maybe they should do their job properly first before demanding pay increases. If their pay was performance-related they’d only get the minimum wage from me!

Meanwhile back in the real world bread has gone up in price leaps and bounds. Still we can all eat cake. The Frenchies got a little upset once upon a time when offered something similar.

  8. Much as I find the “snout in trough” mentality to be found at all levels amongst our politicians disgusting and immoral, I am more than ever concerned about what we are going to do to prevent the Lisbon treaty crime from being perpetrated.

I have been googling all day on sites devoted to criticism of the EU and was shocked to find that 50 out of 127 sites I visited were either disabled or displayed stuff that had absolutely no connection with the site’s title. The Euro-sceptic site had a search facility into which I typed “Lisbon Treaty”, “BNP”, “Political Correctness”, “Islam”, “Tony Blair”, “Common Purpose” etc. but the search came up with nothing, nada, zilch - I mean they had no references or any comment relating to any of these subjects????

Call me paranoid, but it seems to me that recourse to information on the EU is being scrapped by stealth and avenues of resistance shut down.

I think that the Lisbon treaty is the most urgent item of business on the agenda at the moment and I am impatient to hear what the BNP proposes to do as I am eager for clear leadership on this.

  10. In the wake of WW2 with the nation wrecked, cities bombed, food rationed etc, what did our then gallant leaders do in the crying need for reconstruction?

They of course encouraged much needed tradesmen to emigrate, even providing cheap passage for them. And for those remaining, the “Welfare State”, the half-life of the dole, council houses, indolence and dependence on Big Brother. An education system that promotes stupidity, cheap booze, holidays in Spain, abortions (not even the basic right to life for these innocent unborn children), “single mums”, pornography, perversions, drugs and the many features of life that make a once great nation so evidently lacking in self respect. All this has been actively encouraged by the “newspapers” that the British so avidly devour, and even by the church which is supposed to call the people to obedience to the biblical principles that, when our nation followed them, it prospered mightily.

These forces of deceit and destruction have not changed, rather have they intensified. What remains to be seen is whether the British people will continue to follow them. If they do, destruction is certain, as becomes more apparent every day and with every news item on this website. As a Christian I look with grief on our islands, at the same time I thank God for the BNP’s clarion call for national renewal and hope our people will follow it.

  16. I know that it is editorial policy not to criticise the “Great British People”, but I return to my theme:- the more such articles as this one I come across, the more I realise just how dam’ stupid, how pig-ignorant (pardon the expression) the British people are. Even factoring in the massive captive immigrant vote, there are enough votes left over to indicate that native British voters are so very stupid, it is a wonder they can tie their shoelaces in the morning or put on their lipstick.
No wonder our political class despises us, and takes us for a ride, and treats us as fools; outside of BNP membership, it is clear that that is precisely what the electorate are:- fools and idiots.
However, these same no-hopers who vote for the liblabcons-piracy election after election are easily led; being sheeple rather than people, it will take a comparatively small swing towards the BNP for the many to follow; they wont have a clue, but hey! If we can capture their votes, we can then begin on the task of national recovery, and perhaps in time, under a BNP administration, even the sheeple will re-discover that British commonsense and nobility of spirit their ancestors possessed.
And those of us who were all along worthy of our Race, will take pride in having kept the Faith, no matter how dark the times.

  21. Off topic, but relevant to the 400000 spoilt voting papers, and 5.3% vote. The Talk Sport presenter James Whale has been sacked after an investigation by the broadcasting watchdog regarding bias in favour of Boris Johnson. However on Wednesday one of two LBC presenters advised listeners at about 18:30, to go out and vote if only to up the percentage vote and deny the BNP its expected 5%+ vote. Isnt this a case for reporting to the broadcasting watchdog? If this is not relevant for print thats ok but I thought you may like to know.

  25. Following on from the comment by Askari above: Despite an ‘unexpectedly high’ turn-out in the London elections this still amounted to only 45% of voters. The majority stayed at home rather than vote at all - a pretty powerful expression of contempt for the politicians. Londoners of course had the option of voting BNP - so there’s no excuse for this apathy. But reaching out to this disillusioned mass is the great task that faces the party.

The BBC could barely hide their disgust as they announced ZanuLabour’s trouncing at the polls, but the propaganda machine has kicked-in full tilt over the weekend. Two high-profile stories about crackdowns on illegal immigrants and today extra money for helping wounded soldiers - you’d almost think the BNP had won a general election. I know it’s all bull****, but you know what I mean.

well sorry, but if you weren’t so damn greedy in the first place … guess what … yeh you’re right .. you would have money in the “bank” (pardon the pun) to be able to dig urselves out the shit ….. even funnier is that hey pay some fat greedy lib/lab/con supporter or member a massive salary in the first place to supposedly safeguard from this sorta thing…

except the difference with politicians is that there is no governng body to stop them, it’s not like they have to worry about cashflow … because guess what … no matter how bad me or you are doing … they still get to demand money fom us ….. the never ending “gravy pit” that feeds their train …….

  31. What I really need to know guys/gals … is if this Lisbon Treaty is as bad as I think it is and everyone else tells me… then how in the hell did it get this far? .. Why are the public so ignorant to what it means?

Why are the people who are paid to serve us not informing the public?

More to the point … if it has got this far with no comeback … are we not too close to January 1st 2009 to be able to stop it?

Because from what I see in Europe, is that if you disagree or speak out you will be arrested.

Why is more not being done to highlight it in this country? I mean effin’hell …. 2 World Wars, Millions Dead and Injured so we would not be ruled by foreign blood on foreign lands….. Not to mention the untold number of wars prior to them……..

We as the only political party, willing to bring it in the open need to be doing a lot more if we can ….. I know that all the people who have been members of the BNP for years have worked hard all that time…. As a new member I have little to be able to boast about nor take praise for, i only hope I can do as much as those before me……….

  33. I have just finished reading (for the second time)the “Lisbon Treaty Horrror Classic”, downloaded it and am sending it out to friends and contacts. JANUARY 1st 2009? That’s what I call too close for comfort. Can anything be done in time, i.e. to force a Referendum? I saw somewhere on the internet that a man (I forget his name) has won the right to take the government to Court because they broke their election promise to hold a referendum. Has anybody else any news on this court action?
A little gallows humour: The good news is that our “worthy” MPs of the lib/lab/con persuasion can all be out on their ear when the EU …”sweeps away the Westminster Parliament, giving the EU the power to close it”… So perhaps the pigs at the trough are making hay while the sun shines. But my dear God, that Angela Merkel must be the ugliest woman on the planet (inside and out). Eat your heart out Herr Hitler - woman-power is succeeding where you have failed!

  34. A cynic might say that all politicans are the same when they propose an inflation busting rise like this. But moreover, the Labour Party is no longer the party of the working class, a fact reinforced with the removal of the 10p starting tax band in the recent budget that affected the lowest paid workers. Looking at the main parties, only the BNP can offer a breath of fresh air the country so desperately needs to clean up the hypocrisy and provide freedom, security and democracy.

    Posted by idealist | May 7, 2008, 1:58 am
  35. It has become increasingly clear in recent years that Members of Parliament have completely lost touch with those they represent, awarding themselves not only big pay increases but expanding their list of ‘perks’. We should not be surprised therefore that they are again intent on raiding the public purse to bolster their lavish lifestyles. Why then, do not voters really give them what-for when elections come around? Continuing to vote for the established Parties, whatever their ideologies, is not only a futile exercise but an ignorant one, too. The electorate can see the evidence of the impotence of their so-called ‘leaders’ all around them yet still support their candidates at a local as well as national level, so who is to blame but themselves when the ’staus quo’ is maintained at election time. Desperate times require radical solutiions - support the BNP at every opportunity or suffer more of the same.

  37. We all groan when we again see the British populace continue to vote for the Tweedledee/Tweedledum lib/lab/con parties. ‘Will the sheeple never learn’, we cry. But we must never forget the great betrayal is by the so-called political leaders, who, instead of a shepherd leading their flock, these traitors have for decades pulled the wool over the eyes of the British people to pursue their own Marxist/Fabian EU agenda of mass immigration & continual change in the education system. All of this has led to poorer educational standards for the ordinary person & the near eradication of the nation-state. The reason educational standards are so low is that the Fabian-Marxists want it that way, requiring a dumbed-down electorate to consolidate their increasingly powerful EU state leading to eventual one-world government. But being the arch-hypocrites that they are, their own little darlings are cosseted & protected in private educational establishments. Still, the people will prevail.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Somerset Maugham:

    1. “If a nation values anything more than freedom, it will lose its freedom; and the irony of it is that if it is comfort or money that it values more, it will lose that too.”

Samuel Adams, speech at the Philadelphia State House, August 1, 1776

    2. “If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

  48. The Queen has no power to not sign the treaty. If she refused to give her assent she would have to dissolve Parliament. Up to a few weeks or so ago it would have been likey Labour would have had a majority in the House of Commons. THe Monarch is below the House of Commons in the power structure of the UK, Brown would have had a three line whip on his MP’s to force a vote, pass the treaty which The Queen would be obliged to sign.

She cannot win. Privately I guess The Queen thinks like the rest of us but she cannot say or do anything. Constitutionally if the House of Commons voted for a republic, all the Lords and The Queen could do is delay things, they have no power to veto the Commons for ever.

And remember when the Australian Governor General, (using tyhe “reserve” powers of the Monarch sacked Gough Whitlam the Labour PM? All hell broke loose and set Australia on the way to becoming a republic. The same would probably happen here so she daren’t use any of her reserve powers against a government with such a substantial majority in the Commons.

I also suspect she is being kept in the dark about the small print in the treaty, but even if she isn’t she can do nowt.

(I’d love her to boot Brown out and tell him he’s fired, but that’s another matter)

I will add that I totally agree with royalecraig. Good links there too!

  49. @ royalecraig

I followed up your links as given above, especially the third one. I read the comments on that one and my attention was drawn to the last one from the UK National Defence Association Ltd which I proceeded to investigate on its own links. This group has been gathered together at the behest of Tony Blair (in itself not a good omen) and aims to facilitate a COVENANT to be formed between the people, politicians and armed forces of the UK to decide on the defence and security needs of this realm, the armed forces to include army, navy, airforce, police, coast guard, ambulance (?), fire, rescue and ‘Security Services’ (sic). Don’t the armed forces swear an oath of allegiance to the queen and would this Covenant be subordinate to that or take precedence over it?

It will seek members in the media and PR, military charities, defence industries, related businesses and from celebrities and academics. It will be funded by private individuals, industrial corporate bodies, donations and legacies. It will target the entire population of the UK. Its focus will be on “Task, Team, Individual” and it has 10 Commandments.

I think it sounds like Common Purpose of the Armed Forces but perhaps you know more about it and could enlighten us further.

    @ Ed

I don’t know if this post will attract royalecraig’s attention at this late stage. Perhaps you could think of a better way of putting it before him? Thanks.

I’m sure he’ll read it, and if not you can re-post anytime - Ed
