We learn this evening that Taxpayers will have to pick up the tab for the costs of MPs’ nannies, child minders and nurseries under proposals to further increase the generosity of Parliament’s system of expenses. Under the proposals, MPs will be given child care vouchers that can be used throughout the country and are, of course, tax free.
Although the precise level of support is said to be still under under discussion it is claimed that eligible MPs can expect to claim thousands of pounds per child.
Minutes of a meeting of MPs led by the Speaker reveal that the decision to offer free or subsidised child care was taken last year. The final details are expected to be unveiled within a month.
However Matthew Elliott, who is the chief executive of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: “It defies belief that despite the outcry of the last few months MPs still think they can get away with increasing their perks even more. They are well paid and generously provided for as it is without a nanny allowance. The last thing we need is politicians taking yet another step away from the lives of ordinary voters and taxpayers.”
We couldn’t agree more!
Meanwhile, in a disclosure that will surprise no-one familiar with “allowancesgate”, it has been confirmed that the Parliamentary sleaze watchdog has dismissed a complaint about the taxpayer-funded taxi journeys of Commons Speaker Michael Martin’s wife!
Standards Commissioner John Lyon reportedly claimed the more than £4,000 spent by Mary Martin on taxis was “reasonable” and within the rules!

You get what you vote for. Things can only get worse until the public stop electing the Lib/Lab/Con-merchants.
OINK OINK!!!They are paving the way for the scrapping of Parliament
that is due to take place in 2010,
there can be no other reason.
Phew! I worried for a moment that Mps would feel the credit crunch after they weren’t allowed their £250 “no questions” expenses. Luckily not only do they get a pay rise, but the expenses are going to be dealt with in another manner. Hooray for New Labour!
I don’t know who these pigs think they are. Utterly sick of it.
Just what do these bloody MP’s spend their wages on? With expenses for this and expenses for that, the money they get paid for working must not get touched. No wonder they hate us so much for wanting to spoil their little party. My God life must be a breeze for them!
MP’s needing child care allowance! What a con! My mother used to babysit mine…for free! The government certainly never paid for it, let’s put it that way.
I find it incredible that they are so hard faced… and we keep on voting them in!
My daughter had to actually give up work and and the prospect of a good career to stay at home grubbing on benefit because she couldn’t afford the cost of child care. Yet these bums are to get get free childcare on top of their obscene salaries. How the heck does that work, pray tell?
They are just filling thier boots before handing virtually all power to Europe. They are all traitors and in the Crewe and Nantwich election, the electorate should show the red card to these overpaid grabbing halfwits and vote for anyone other than the three main parties.
Hmm. Maybe they need more money to enable them to commute between London and their constituency. They may also need to keep up steep mortgage re-payments on their London home. I’m not quite sure whether this rise is that significant- aren’t their more pressing issues, like our boys dying in Iraq?
—-
And maybe they don’t!
As for our boys dying in Iraq - they won’t be discussing that pressing issue, will they, they are too busy discussing their perks? Ed
This is very off topic but absolute must be viewed.

It explains everything.
The childcare and other perks these degenerates are filching, is not free-it is paid by people with a lot less money than them.
Thank you, Malcontent_Patriot.

As you say, it is a must-see.
Maybe that is why they fought such a dirty election campaign against Richard Barnbrook and the whole of the BNP? Because they knew we would come across all of their dirty scams when we got people elected… especially on the GLA?
Has anyone cheked anyway, whether any councils that have BNP members in them have had a significant reduction in expense claims? Or is it only the MP’s that get to rob the country blind?
Everyone who has posted so far has the right to be angry at this latest debacle, I earn a fraction of these filthy greedy thieving pigs and yet I am not allowed any money towards childcare for my son, I have to go out and work, my wife stays at home and my wage has to keep 3 of us, 2 adults and a child……… what was I offered in return for the traditional family values that the keep blabbing on about???? £10 a month, what the F*** difference is £10 a month gonna make?? So I politely declined and told them to shove it so far up their backside that I hope the bite their nails while doing so………….
It is quite ironic that the only expense they don’t get which is the only expense they need is a personality expense.
Brown’s would cost us a fortune.
Some other MP’s need a total personality transplant.
I have worked for some of these people, my experience is that they are arrogant and self interested, and treat politics as a game against one another, rather like chess. These people cannot and never will identify with the public, no matter what the public think of them, they just don’t care about us and what we think or want in life, ( which compared to them isn’t actually much in the great scheme of things). They are a class to themselves be it Lib Lab Con. This pure greed over expenses just shows their total lack of humility.
I’ll give an example.( I will have to be vague)
A certain encumbent at the second most posh house in Downing St, having just moved in needed my services, upon entering I was invited to look at ‘their’ Gainsborough’s. Their dining room walls were lined with them ( millions of pounds worth). Just about all of the artifacts and furniture and antiques etc are permanent residents to the house, unlike the politicians in them! These Gainsboroughs have seen many famous politicians come and go.
Who do you think paid for them? yes us.
This encumbent prided themselves on how lucky they were, (the general public will never see them in the flesh) and really thought they owned them. It was as if they had hit the jackpot, which of course they had. This encumbent was like a kid in a sweet shop.
Do you think they care about our soldiers dying abroad, our OAP’s without a comfortable ending in life ,our sick people not getting treatment, young people not being able to afford a house, people losing their jobs to immigrants, crime, spiralling cost of living? the list goes on and on.
They don’t care for the simple reason they just do not understand. They never will, they are not our class. We need a government of working people for the working people ,and we need it pretty damn soon!
They screw the poorest paid in our society for every penny and give it to themselves. They are no better then thieves and muggers.
While these greedy anti British euro polititians take whatever they feel they deserve from our taxes, our service men and women struggle to survive on poverty line wages, often unable to find the money to feed themselves whilst being killed and wounded in foreign lands after being sent there by those same vulgar beings. Our pensioners on disgraceful pensions and still taxed to the hilt by these vile animals, struggle to look after themselves. Our enemy isn’t to be found in Iraq or Afghanistan, they are here in our own parliament posing as our representatives.
They act like lemmings. They cannot help it. They have never in most cases had gainful employment. One does it they all copy, no mind of their own you see. When told that the proles are restless, their answer “so what”. We the proles fed up to the teeth decide. Thats it, they are history, we’ll never vote them into office again. I can’t get it right every time, Damn !!!
Let’s not be too hard on them though.
After all, if they get “nanny” money, their wives, partners etc. can get well paid jobs too. [working for them??] MY,MY, How the money rolls in. How can these scrounging parasites keep their minds on doing the job they were elected to do when all they ever think about is new ways to line their own pockets?
After the recent public discontent over these legal fiddles, one would think that they would ease off on grabbing the taxpayers hard earned money, but they are proving to be completely and utterly shameless. It’s a new version of organised crime and WE are the victims. The whole governmental system is rotten to the core, and the culprits should be brought to book, but they make the laws to suit their own disgusting purposes. The certainty of all this is, if we don’t kick them out they will get even greedier.
-
They are stuffing their pockets and doing as much damage to the country as they can.
This is their common purpose. This is what people have been voting for.
Lets continue to speak the truth. Spread the word and keep the faith. - Ed
This on the very day we were told the good times are over. Grrr…..
Keep those newspaper headlines visible, keep waking people up.
Please somebody tell me why the BNP are not contesting the Crewe election when other parties are.
—
It’s very short notice, and we don’t happen to have big business or union or ‘other’ backing. At the moment. - Ed.
Incredible and immoral. Doubtless those Tories who are against such Government ‘hand-outs’ for the masses will be first in the queue to grab a slice of the action. The schemes these parasites in Westminster dream up ways to rip off the general public is breathtaking to say the least. Traditionally, Britons tend to shy away from revolution to correct the ills in society but lately I detect a distinct whiff of gunpowder in the air.
Hey LibLabCon voters
Is it sinking in yet?
Can you see how much contempt these thieves hold you in?
A nanny allowance hot on the heels of a 25% self-voted pay rise and you have the wives of people YOU VOTED FOR spending more on taxis than many families can on essentials as the crunch deepens and people struggle to keep a roof over their heads.
They bring shame to our parliament and they are deliberately destroying our nation.
Stop the rot by supporting the BNP and let’s get our country back.
well our poor underpaid MPs need these perks because they don’t earn enough to pay for childcare. The government has promised to fight child poverty and this is clearly one of the ways it can do so. Why should they care about the moaning of peasants like us, we are well off, unlike our poor MPs who can’t even scrape two pennies together. So do be quite and just go on paying your taxes to keep our hard working MPs in the style they have become accustomed to. Oink, oink.
These parasites do not get it! They were decimated in the local elections and still they abuse their positions. Why not do away with the lot of them and save a fortune. They lie and lie. They even lie about how good they are. They are powerless as the EU makes all the decisions now, so what use are they any more? The Lisbon treaty makes sure they are now even more powerless.
Perhaps they are cashing in while they still can. - Ed
An absolute scandal that these thieving political hogs are satiating themselves at the trough while brave British soldiers are treated as second-class citizens by the same political class. Keep spreading the truth,
BNP - the anti-political correctness/anti-cultural marxism party of the people.
This is OT on allowances but is still about politics.
At the Crewe & Nantwich By-election Labour have picked up on the tensions created by the recent mass influx of Poles.
In an anti-Tory leaflet, they exploit this local resentment with a mocking reference to Tory opposition to the proposed ID card scheme:
‘Do you oppose making foreign nationals carry an ID card?’
Yes, I didn’t make that up, after 11 years of pursuing a mass immigration policy, Labour are now playing the anti-immigrant card.
Should we laugh, cry, throw up or just nominate them not as ‘hypocrite of the week’ but ‘hypocrite of the 21st century?’ On second thoughts, why not congratulate them on their Road to Damascus conversion? They have suddenly realised that mass immigration is a huge mistake. Please send them an email of support for their new-found enlightenment, they’re bound to be grateful.
Others will certainly post this story.
(to some Ed -a couple of days ago I shuffled a sentence round and left a surplus ‘not’ in. This changed the meaning more than a bit! Grateful thanks to whoever noticed my stupidity).
JIM GREEN Jim it wont happen, they`ll be out there a week today voting Labour, it`s a pity stupidity isn’t a crime, they`re for the working man you know !!(give me strength)
The BNP should adopt the election slogan - ‘Tough on slime, tough on the causes of slime.’
I remember one of Nick’s speeches, I believe it was an end of year speech last year.
He made the salient point that politicians think and plan for a five year period, because they may be out in five. So no long term financial or social stability can ever be achieved by people with a short term vision.
Labour will probably be out in a couple of years, so with regards to their new found ( stolen ) expenses, they have had their breakfast, their lunch and their supper. Now they are helping themselves to large but extremely sweet desserts off the tax payers trolley.
Unfortunately they are not just desserts, and this bunch really do deserve their ‘just desserts’!
Amazing how the sneering lefties have been having a go at the Monarchy over the years while quietly trousering more cash than the Royals. What a bunch of lying hypocrites MP’s are, do they really think we respect them any more? None of them have the guts to stand up for britain or have high personal standards of behaviour. And don’t even get me going about MEP’s…..
Just a thought on ever rising prices and the shrinking pound. If the pound keeps on diminishing in buying power,it will eventually be £1= ONE EURO.Then we may as well accept the euro with no loss of value????? Cunning swine these politicians!!
