400,000 voting papers ’spoilt’? Umm…Sounds a lot. So who is the person charged with responsibility for ensuring the integrity of the electoral process? Anyone? Nobody? I think we should be told. If nobody is prepared to except responsiblity for ensuring that everything is above board, then this country has a problem, big time. In common with many others, I am very bothered by the government’s apparent indifference over the evidence which has already emerged about the glaring defects in the postal voting system. This irresponsibility on the part of the government has got to stop. How on earth can the government claim to extol the virtues of democracy to the rest of the world when they can’t even set up a proper system of voting in this country? (And I haven’t even mentioned ‘hanging chads’)At the very least the Audit Commission should be directed to review the integrity of the London election process.

As I stated in earlier post , as a counting agent at Olympia 2. The most common reason for a spoilt ballot was that to many papers had more crosses than should be on the ballot. The usual angry spoilt papers were present but 90% of the spoilt papers were of the to many votes type.
Winston posted the idea that one should take a rainbow of coloured pens to defeat the fraud of extra crosses being added. A good idea.
No it wasn’t. They either did it on purpose or quite accidently covered this fraud by only allowing a black and white photo copy of questionable papers.so the question of different colours used could not be seen. most of the spoilt papers favouring our Party were of this sort. Some of our counting agents thought the system was fair. I did not
We polled 5.3% overall. Our percentage of spoilt papers was above this. Broken seals,tampered contents 400.000 spoilt papers. Thats 15 in every 100. not a sound from Kenneth, Boris, or the media.

Lets get this straight.

Overall responsibility for the London elections is a body called London Elects. London Elects must have had some sort of relationship with the then London Mayor Ken Livingstone and the anti-BNP London Assembly. Ken Livingstone is chairman of the UAF hate group.

Furthermore - when the ballot boxes were brought into the 3 London counting centres for “safe overnight storage”, the only action needed to “get the right result” was to peel back the seals, open the boxes and add marks to ballot slips favouring the BNP. This would render them “spoilt”. That’s all that’s needed!

How would this manifest itself?

Why the BNP vote for the areas covered by the ballot boxes concerned would have next to no BNP votes - or, at least, valid ones! So you would expect individual polling districts to be largely devouid of BNP support and to have substantial numbers of invalid voting slips.

Is this not exactly what Nick Griffin hit upon when he said in Saturday’s audio report to Simon Darby - that some areas of London had incredibly low returns for the BNP?

And - something else.

The turnout in 2004 was 37%. The turnout this time was 45% - which represents, approximately, a 20% increase on 2004.

Therefore - just to stand still - the BNP vote of 90,000 in 2004 would have to have increased to 108,000 today!

Are we seriously suggesting that the hugely higher profile of the BNP both nationally and, in particular, across London is represented by just an additional 22,000 votes - i.e 750 votes per borough on average?

London is also where one opinion poll last year claimed that “up to 25% of Londoners were considering voting for the BNP”!

There’s a massive difference btween 25% and 5.3% - a gulf that cannot be reconcilled - except by massive electoral fraud!

The efficiency of the operation does not surprise me, because it has been displayed before, at “other times”.
The media is a very powerful way to hide something in full view. If anyone knows anything about hypnotherapy, they will tell you that soap operas and such are a fantastic way to lower the critical faculty thus allowing the TV to become a very powerful tool to reach the subconscious mind. Basically, this is the last you will hear of it, unless somehow you can break through the critical faculty and stir the collective consciousness. Robert Blatchford, “Its obvious to everyone that support for the BNP is a damm sight higher that the “5%” we achieved!” My thoughts too. I was expecting us to do better than we did, and so were the establishment of the fuss they made about the BNP was anything to go by. Some of the results don’t make sense - I suspect widespread fiddling and not just in London.

What is the normal percentage of spoiled ballot slips? Surely if we live in a great and good democracy there would be a law forcing an investigation if any given election had an unusually high spoilage.

Aside from that, having cardboard ballet boxes is an absolute disgrace. Is this normal procedure? If not, who made the decision to go for something that could so easily be tampered with? If only 140,000 more of those votes were favouring Red Ken over Boris, the mayoral result would be different - but there are no cries coming from him or his cronies over this - perhaps they know for certain exactly who the big beneficiary of those votes would be if it was investigated.

I’ve just had a good look at the mayoral election results - given the relatively tight finish between Livingstone and Johnson it’s puzzling - to say the least - that the spoiled 400,000 hasn’t been mentioned.

I gather that Lee Barnes has been offered a weekly spot on Radio Africa in London.
Prehaps he would mention this on their show get some publicity to the wider population.
I would imagine at some time the media will no longer be able to ignore it when more people realise they may have came out and voted for nothing.

Same thing happened in 2004, maybe the BNP should have had Assembly members for the last 4 years. Why was no effort been made to address this issue of the extraordinary number of spoilt ballots and see that there was no repetition? If BNP votes have been tampered with, the powers that be are playing a dangerous game, for if the people cannot vent their frustrations via the ballot box, they will vent it elsewhere.

The BNP is a safety valve for angry Britons. Without Political Nationalism, there will be disasterous consequences.

Surely we can do something about this. Can somebody organise a protest march or something and if necessary do a fundraiser to fight this through legal channels. An election with one ballot box with a damaged seal and 4,000 spoiled ballots could easily be accidental and would be entirely plausible.

But so many slit seals and 400,000 spoiled ballots are a combination that cannot possibly be accidental. The idea of it being accidental is not plausible at all. Even calling it implausible understates it.

It is so unbelievable that it is evidence in itself of a carefully organised, utterly unscrupulous and very bold conspiracy.

Like every other post on this site, I feel outraged, incandescent with anger:- quite plainly, we were literally robbed of votes for the BNP. Both ourselves and the Establishment were expecting a much higher proportion of GLA votes in our favour than were officially acknowledged; this wide discrepancy can only be due to electoral fraud on a grand scale.
As others have pointed out:- the proof of this lies in the deafening silence from the media on this matter. If provisions for expert examination of the spoilt ballot papers are not made available to any legal team requesting them, then fresh county council elections most definitely should be called.

There would appear to be a very potent weapon we could all use against the media who don’t think it necessary to report on ballot box tampering. DON’T BUY THEIR DISGUSTING PAPERS!!!

Are there really 400,000 people out there unable to tell the difference between two and three crosses? A number of these spoilt votes should be examined in order to try to establish whether or not it was the voter who spoilt the paper. For all I know,it might even be possible, by forensic examination of the crosses on each paper, to determine whether they were made by the same pencil after analysis of the chemical constituency of the marks.
Furthermore, it would be interesting to know just how many of these spoilt papers carried a vote for the BNP.

Can we have a volunteer then who knows the proceedure in dealing with these things. Another thought, 400,000 + spoilt papers, yes some will be spoilt by the voters, but for the majority of fraudulantly spoilt votes , you would need a large well organized group to carry out this large scale fraud overnight, and unseen. This would be impossible to do, so clearly this fraud goes some way up the ladder.

As a member of the BNP, I went to Olympia 2, near Earl’s Court as a party representative, and I was absolutely shocked standing at the count watching vote after vote being discarded or contested in Hillingdon.

Fortunately, this was not the rule, but whatever the number the fact that thousands upon thousands of votes were rejected not just in Hillingdon, but in other parts of London and of the rest of the country is extremely worrying.

I was at the count in 2004, then as party candidate for the Londonwide list, and something very similar happened.

The officers tried to put a brave face and said: 2004 was very bad and now is far better. Far better?

The system has not been improved and the fact that less votes were discarded in 2008 than in 2004 is no consolation. Only 46 per cent of those able to vote actually voted and thousands upon thousands of these had their votes rejected.

There is confusion and the voting system is either far too complex and/or there has not been enough work done to explain how it works.

I do remember asking about the present system when we visited the London Assembly building. The officers in charge were extremely reassuring: the system has been tested and it works.

Unfortunately, it worked during the test runs, but it did not work as efficiently during the actual elections.

In two years time we will be having a General Election and before that there are going to be other electoral contests. I hope the complaisant attitude of our authorities does not boycott, once again, what should be the real outcome of the election.

The BNP was there standing for the rights of voters of all political parties. We want an electoral system that is clear enough because in a democracy every vote counts.

The army should be put in control of collecting and counting all democratic votes in Britain, nobody will contest their integrity.

Stanley Aetion has a good point here. How many of the spoilt ballot papers were from consituencies which had no BNP candidate available? Perhaps a lot of these ballots were actually spoilt by would-be BNP voters - following our very own advice?

I realise that would not explain the broken seals; but could there not be some genuinely GOOD news in this after all? (I mean apart from the little detail of getting RB into the GLA.)

In answer to the question why Deadstone and Boris didn’t query the 400,000 spoilt votes, because their contest was pretty tight.
Simple really, Bozz won so he didn’t care, and Deadstone didn’t complain because he knew whose papers were spoilt.
