Dress rehearsal today in Hinckley
THERE’S a dress rehearsal today for next week’s big election with voters going to the polls in the Hinckley Castle by-election for Hinckley & Bosworth District Council.
It is the first time ever that the British National Party has stood in the town and the level of support for our candidate, Mike Shore, will give an indication as to how the public is perceiving the BNP’s overall local election campaign.
The Party’s East Midlands Election Officer, Wayne McDermott gives this assessment of the BNP’s campaign in Hinckley.
“The first thing to mention is that our presence has motivated the other parties which have stepped up their campaigns accordingly.
“The Liberal Democrats look set to cruise to another easy victory here. They have put out 10 leaflets now, with the two latest being delivered yesterday on the eve of poll, and I have never seen so many Lib-Dem posters in people’s windows.
“This is our first election in Hinckley so we don’t quite know what to expect. Our vote nationally appears to be on the up, so we are hopeful of beating Labour and taking third place. Finishing above one of the three main parties would certainly put us on the political map in the town. The aim is for 10% of the vote and our limited canvassing returns suggest we could make this target.”
As with all elections where the BNP is making its first forray into local politics, it is the enquires and members gained during the contest that prove the most beneficial, helping the Party step up a gear and move forward in new territory regardless of the result.

Good luck with today, I’m sure the results will be very pleasing as not just here but all over the country people are starting to realise that the BNP are their only chance to retain their pride and indeed identity in their own country. Having looked at my own polling card here in Farnborough, Hampshire it makes dismal reading as there is no BNP candidate. Are we likely to see one soon?
ps.The sight of all those Lib Dem posters is scary to say the least. Whilst nulab and cons are mad, the lib dem brigage are totally off their trolly with their mixed views.

Best wishes and good luck today Mike and every single person who has found the time to post a leaflet in Hinckley in the run-up to today’s vote. I’m sure that you’ll be rewarded with a good response from the many people who are utterly desperate for hope of change. You’re all heroes and millions of Brits are proud of you for advancing the cause.
Lets hope people can pull their heads out of the sand for long enough to see what is happening to their lovely Country. Only votes count, dont talk about it, do it. BNP.
Good luck, Mike. You know we’re all rooting for you, so very best wishes for a good result today.
Liberal Demoprats are just as dangerous to the British as Islam. Have these people no pride? Our ancestors died on the nearby battlefield of Bosworth in their thousands; also killed was the last king, Richard III, to die in battle. Please for their sacrifice, VOTE BNP.
I live in Hinckley, but not in the ward being contested.
I think Hinckley will be a good area for the future with the very large amount of immigrants that have been dumped on us in the last few years.
Hinckley already has a large white flight population from Leicester, Coventry and Birmingham so ripe for the future.
What is really surprising is how receptive the local youth are to the BNP when you get them away from prying ears.
Things are changing, the BNP are openly supported in the local pubs.
