Following on from coverage in newspapers yesterday concerning comments attributed to British National Party London list candidate Nick Eriksen, the BNP has issued the following statement:
Nick Eriksen has this morning withdrawn his candidature from the London Assembly elections.
Under the party list system, popular BNP Councillor Bob Bailey (illustration), deputy leader of the official opposition on Barking and Dagenham council, moves up to take the number two position.
It was felt that no matter how much Nick Eriksen’s blog comments, written back in 2005, had been distorted and taken out of the context of a blog which reflected our tough stance on all sorts of crime, they could still be perceived as trivialising the issue in a manner that many women in particular could have found extremely offensive. As such it was agreed that there should not be any ambiguity with regards real crimes against real women in our capital city by somebody about to enter government. British National Party members elected to the Greater London Assembly will campaign relentlessly to rid the city of the criminals that infest it and those responsible for their reign of terror against ordinary Londoners.
Whilst this Party remains committed to free speech it should be understood that with that freedom comes responsibility. Mr. Eriksen has taken responsibility and unlike other politicians faced with similar circumstances has acted swiftly and honourably to resolve this matter.
If you enjoyed or were affected by this article, please help us to continue making a difference...
Righteous anger & political action:
The British National Party believes in telling the truth, even if it
is sometimes uncomfortable to hear or offensive to those who would
rather bury their heads in the sand than face real problems in our
society.
But while we often pass quite critical comment on the impact of
immigration, multi-culturalism and alien religions on the indigenous
people of our lands, we have no animosity towards immigrants, their
descendants or the followers of non-native religions.
Nor do we intend to encourage others to feel such animosity, or believe that anything we have to say is likely to 'stir up hatred' against anyone.
In fact, we believe that by providing a peaceful and Constitutional outlet for the anger and the frustration felt by millions of our people over the undemocratic transformation of our country by our political masters, the BNP actually defuses tensions.
Where there is 'hate' we seek to turn it into righteous anger and political action against the only people who deserve to be hated - the politicians who use our taxes to turn our country into a place where we often feel like strangers in our own land.

I don’t think his remarks were any less offensive than those of Nick Bourne when he referred to BNP members as being sub-human jetsam and flotsam. The big difference being that the context of Bourne’s remarks were a direct assault with full intention to offend. And what’s more, Bourne made these comments on a blog while holding high public office, using language similar to that given for the justification of the Nazi Holocaust. There are important lessons to be learnt here, and the British National Party has shown that we take these things very seriously. I commend the leadership, and also Nick Erickson’s decision to step down. It sends out a clear message, both about free speech and also about The British National Party.

Lots of active members have strong opinions and generally call a spade a spade. But due to recent events concerning our party, some of the middle managers have behaved in a manner that is and has damaged the party. We know the problem is mostly state assets spooking easily-led members. But there lies the rub. How to tackle this. I have my own thoughts on this topic. I cannot say what they are on an open site like this. And I’m sure that the leadership are as I write wrestling with this problem. As the party increases in size this problem increases in size. I think he did the right thing. There’s a discussion about this on digitalspy.co.uk at the moment and its plain to see that people (as usual) are taking a narrow-minded, ill-informed and biased view of what happened. Whilst I don’t support ALL of the BNPs politics, I do support the theory that stories or reports should give the entire story, i.e. submit all of the data available and then give a comment based on that. All too often in the media (and not just about the BNP) we see stories being written where journalists (authors) have neglected to present the “but” factor, and it’s obvious to any intelligent person that this story contained a “but” factor, a very obvious one to most, that it wasn’t a view shared by the whole party. It’s sad that Eriksen has been so stupid, but I think that the story presents well, that the BNP is the same as any other party in that it has members who make mistakes, and the only difference with the BNP is that it held its hands up and evacuated the offender. His irrational choice of words was unforgivable but some of those main-streamers now jumping on the ‘have a bash at the BNP’ bandwagon, have no business judging others after the crimes they have committed. The mainstream actions (on so many issues) speak louder than some extremely ill-chosen remarks.

I found Mr Erikson’s comment very offensive, and I’m disturbed that he has not retracted or even tried to qualify his remarks. I’m glad he has gone and can only hope that the BNP has no more skeletons such as these in the closet. Mr Erikson’s blog comment is just the sort of hate spouted by the mad mullahs we so despise.
I support the BNP in its aim to reclaim England and I’ve been watching from the sidelines before making a decision as to join or not, perhaps I should wait a bit a longer to see if women are really welcome or are just required as window dressing.

I posted earlier (I think it would have been the first post) suggesting Mr Erikson post a detailed defence here — he was supposed to have been being ironical, or something. Also — there are several sites where his supposed actual words are quoted, but there are ellipses (…) in the middle so something was being left out. If what he says was defensible, I wish he’d defend himself, as otherwise this will run and run like the Copeland thing. (Of course we could always memorise and quote the crimes and sex scandals of the other parties as a riposte, though I doubt any of us could do this without taking a memory training course from Derren Brown).

Just to add; The BNP are now, quite rightly, entering the full arena of mature British politics. Everyone is going to have to go up an equivalent gear in their ‘opinion hygiene’. This doesn’t just mean think before you write, it’s a case of if you are not aligned to BNP policy, then don’t be surprised to be shown the door. We are all anti-PC but that doesn’t mean that we don’t uphold common sense British values that are equally applicable to men, women and children.

Perhaps Britannia would not hesitate to join us if she was made more aware of ‘actual’ sex offences committed by many of the mainstream party perverts. Also, the horrific casualties caused by illegal wars, voted for and supported by these parliamentary criminals, puts these foolish views and comments by Nick Erikson into perspective. I am sure the families of the two Royal Marines killed a couple of days ago - after both lads had been interviewed by Sky News a fortnight earlier - could not care less about daft and offensive comments made under a pseudonym in a blog three years ago. There are far more important and deadly issues to address. Nick Erikson has paid the political price, and we need to quickly move on and save Great Britain.

I would jump to the BNP’s defence and address the misgivings of people about why he wasn’t removed before now.
Well–he blogged as “Sir John Bull”. Have you read this blog? I have certainly never come across it, and I consider myself pretty net-savvy.
His blog was ANONYMOUS! No email, no address, no telephone contact. I suspect that no-one in the party
1. Knew it existed, and
2. IF party officials HAD come across it, they would never have thought that it had come from a party member/electoral candidate.
So, yes, I think that, once this fellow was “found out” by curious journalists, it would have come as a big shock to those who knew him.
AND.. the right decision was made. May I add that this should be a warning to anyone who espouses similar views. When YOU are found out, YOU won’t be tolerated by the BNP either!
-
Mr Eriksen may or may not have said a lot of things, privately or perhaps with a degree of indiscretion - havent we all? But as far as we know, nothing he has said beyond the rather unfortunate blog which few people knew about, has given anyone cause for concern. It’s very sad Mr Eriksen has been stood down and will now face disciplinary proceedures, but that’s the way the BNP deals with events like this, unlike the liblabcon, which finds excuses for abominable behaviour within its ranks, often completely without shame. - Ed

Mr Erikson has done the honourable thing. How many candidates from the political ‘establishment’ have formerly done the same thing? The vast majority of the LabLibCon cartel cling to office, or the hope of it, like limpets. As well as being a member of the B.N.P. I am also a member of Anti-Slavery International and believe that the responsibility for allowing 25,000 women to be trafficked into this country to be raped to death in our cities lies solely with this revolting government. As does the blame for allowing all those white British girls targeted by immigrant gangs to be groomed into prostitution despite knowing the situation for years.
This government is responsible for the mass rape of a silent and abandonded section of the population AND the murder of British soldiers in a war that was never our fight.

We all say things that can be taken out of context and which we perhaps later regret. I know I have.
The ‘new politics’ relies on things like blogging so the risk of giving the enemy words to be used against us is greatly increased. You can count on it - every prominent BNP politician’s words will be sifted and resifted, so discipline is essential at all times.
Political expediency aside, I still believe it’s a man’s heart that should be judged, not words that escape from his mouth in humour, debate, or anger.
Erikson is a decent man and won’t mind taking this hit for the party because what distinguishes the BNP from other parties is that our politicians are in it for the greater good of our country, not selfish egoistical reasons.

Let’s not forget (as I may unwittingly have done earlier) that these are comments Nick Erikson is alleged to have said/written. Whatever the actual truth - a virtue the lying lib/lab/con artists of Parliament know absolutely nothing about - the BNP will get to the very bottom of it. In the meantime, the correct decision has been very swiftly made. Nick Erikson has already paid a heavy price for comments he is (as yet) alleged to have made and I for one am satisfied with the way it has been dealt with.

When King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia visited UK last October, he was greeted by Gordon Brown as a true friend of the party and liblabcon government. It was a very friendly meeting, although King Abdullah did have a problem with Brown’s government ‘not doing enough to fight terrorism(!). Now, we all know how ‘highly appreciated’ women are in Saudi Arabia. We also know ‘how serious’ offence rape is in SA.
This is not a laughing matter and although Mr. Erikson probably should’ve known better then to write these things on the WWW, I am sure that this is not his genuine opinion on the issue.
But can you even begin to compare his unfortunate comments to the things that NuLabour friend King Abdullah allows to go on in his own country? In SA it is not crime to commit rape but to report that you’ve been a victim of one!
Now remember, King was introduced by the government as a ‘true friend of Britain’! If Nick showed common sense in withdrawing over his comments, imagine what should NuLabour do for having ‘true friends’ such as King Abdullah, if they had any dignity left!?
But having dignity is one of many things that separate BNP from liblabcon party.
Take care,

Frankly, like many I was shocked at what the media put out and was waiting for the candidate himself to ask for a retraction of what I assumed was just more mud slinging. I hope this warns all BNP supporters and members that whatever we say and however private we think we are at the time, we can come to regret it. I have, over the years, written numerous letters to all sections of the Press, a few have been published; I usually use different names try and achieve this. I always try to take part in Radio ‘phone-ins, again using different names to try and get through. I’ll talk to anyone who will listen about the same topics the BNP cares about and get into some heated discussions. I have made thousands of posts on various web-sites and been banned from few, with the usual name calling etc. There are many like me who care about England but who are cautious of the BNP – and no we don’t believe the Press smears. The mainstream actions (on so many issues) speak louder than some extremely ill-chosen remarks.

Those that live in glass houses should not throw stones, hey?-Ed
As a new boy to the party, if I had read this guy’s remarks I would have thought twice about joining. Sorry if I sound like a wimp, but what will prospective VOTERS think?
P.S. I still think the BNP is the only party for me. Good luck and stay clean.
-
Most voters tend to think what they’re told to think by the eu/liblabcon/islam party and its media confederates. Fortunately that is beginning to change. Keep the faith. - Ed
-
While you’re waiting, and presumably being influenced by the machinations against us by the liblabcon and their media confederates, the rest of us are getting on with the extremely difficult job of trying to save our country from being submerged under a torrent of treason, subversion and physical attack. Wait as long as you feel there is time, or make your decision at the elections. Either way there are far more serious things to attend to than gossip being spread by traitors to undermine the British peoples fight for survival. - Ed

Well said, Upright Man!-Ed
- Ed
Well said ED in reply to Britannia’s comment.
Britannia there is no time left.
There are many folk working very, very hard behind the scenes and to read this sort of news is very disappointing indeed. However there is no other party to turn to. We need to stick together to stand any chance of regaining our country. The British National Party is the only party with the infrastructure to do the job and the only party with the members brave enough to see the task through.
I’m sorry but he wrote things that he shouldn’t have–however, he put it somewhere where he would have been able to let off steam. Has no one ever kept a diary and wrote something in it they looked back on and thought “what was I thinking at that time?” I know I have–One comment was after a fight with my mother and I called her things that, well, I would never at any sane time think.
We are all human and we all think irrationally at times. He has stepped down and been honourable about it. Let’s not let what he has said, maybe at a time of anger (as we all have–he IS human) affect our judgement of his character.
The title scared me for a second! I thought Richard Barnbrook was going to withdraw!
Mr Erikson has done the honourable thing. How many candidates from the political ‘establishment’ have formerly done the same thing? The vast majority of the LabLibCon cartel cling to office, or the hope of it, like limpets. It is a refreshing change to see someone accept that his past statements/behaviour precludes him from being a suitable candidate for public office. You would never see Blair, Brown and Co. going so easily.
Time now (for me anyway) to move on to the article on Boris Johnson’s latest offensive remarks, where you can be sure that he will not be doing the honourable thing and stepping down. What else would you expect from the lib/lab/conways?
Yes nicks comments were out of order, but they were said 4 years ago.Remember we are up against a evil gang of murderers, rapists, child loving perverts, thieves, liars and buggers.Who love to throw accusations at us.so they can hide behind MR SPEAKERS CLOAK.THEIR DAYS ARE FEW,AND THEY KNOW IT.
A very mature decision all round, and thank God for that! So much progress has been made in the last few weeks that NOTHING should be allowed to derail the process of gaining more council seats, and better prospects in the London mayoral election. Britannia - I hope you will see from all the comments here that Mr Erikson’s remarks are completely at odds with those of BNP supporters. Please come back to this site regularly, and read all the articles and comments, and you will see that we are a really patriotic bunch of people who simply want our country back! If you are as tired of all the lies and deceit of the other parties, and all the political correctness as the rest of us, and if you really want to know what is happening in our country, then you will find much to interest and inspire you.
It says a lot for the honour of the BNP. The “accepted party” members won’t even stand down when all the accusations are true.
Well Nick Griffin did say it will be a long process, with three steps forward very often followed by two steps back!
Take care,
PICK BRITAIN UP!
I think for the benefit of all those who have only heard the media side of this ‘comment ‘ it would be a very good idea to make this blog available so that we can see it in context. Frankly, like many I was shocked at what the media put out and was waiting for the candidate himself to ask for a retraction of what I assumed was just more mud slinging. I hope this warns all BNP supporters and members that whatever we say and however private we think we are at the time, we can come to regret it. We are so demonised by the media and the other political parties. The only thing that is free in Britain these days are your thoughts.
June.
It demonstrates two things: Nick Erikson has done the right thing; and whatever the circumstances surrounding this Blog, great vigilance is needed in protecting the growing reputation and credibility of the BNP. I will be out leafleting and my reply to anyone who may ask, “who is behind it?” will be that I have serious doubts as to who is the real author of this blog.

Wake up!
What did he say that made him have to stand down?

It was something from an anonymous blog in 2005 that was deemed insensitive toward women. - Ed
I quite expected my post to draw some fire and in way it was to ‘test the water’ but I must say this: Just because a person is not a member of the BNP does not imply that the person in question does not, in their own way, contribute in the battle to reclaim England.
The BNP has made a great effort to put its house in order and I have nothing but respect and praise for the BNP’s active members and–OK, I shall be joining you.
-
Way to go, Girl! We need more like you to take that “Leap of Faith”-Ed
Good call BNP - the cause of saving Britain is bigger than any individual.
One comment but I will never be swayed. I’ve had enough of this ****. BNP 4 ME God bless them!!
