Allowancesgate: Taxpayers’ money spent on Brown’s groceries and paying Cameron’s second home mortgage claim

It has been reported in the media that a decision has been made to allow the publication of some further aspects of MPs claiming of public money as allowances and expenses. At this point in time it remains unclear exactly what information will be released and what effect such disclosure will have on the House of Commons appeal to the High Court – widely seen as a tactic to delay full publication. However a report in today’s Daily Telegraph provides their “take” on the situation. No doubt the matter will be further clarified over the next few days.

However the Daily Telegraph article does appear to support the allegation that Brown and hundreds of current and former “Honourable Members” have been using OUR taxmoney to buy groceries - despite being on huge taxpayer funded salaries. This despite the obvious fact that they would had to have bought their groceries out of their own pockets anyway, regardless of how many homes they have! In addition, it would also appear to support our view that Cameron and a great many MPs representing constituencies considered by us to be within commuting distance of London, are claiming huge amounts of taxpayers’ money to pay the mortgage interest on second-homes that many believe they simply do not need! These second-homes, of course, can be sold off at any time, leaving the MPs concerned to realise, in most cases, a very considerable profit. Yet MPs are under no obligation to return a single penny of the taxpayers’ money received in helping to create that profit back to the public purse, that is, to US - the taxpayer!

The Daily Telegraph report begins:-

Gordon Brown will today admit that the taxpayer has paid his grocery bills in the past, and David Cameron will reveal he has claimed tens of thousands in mortgage bills for his constituency home.

The information will be disclosed by the House of Commons Speaker, who has finally agreed to release some detailed information about MPs’ expenses.

Since 2003, the Prime Minister also claimed money for his utility bills and extensive renovations at his Westminster flat, including the building of a nursery. He claimed for some groceries in 2005-06 but not in the previous year. The vast bulk of Mr Cameron’s expenses went on paying a mortgage for his Oxfordshire home.

  5. Why don’t we have national charity day for poor Gordon? I mean he’s obviously on his uppers because why else would he be claiming for bread and beans etc.

Why not nominate such and such a date as “GORDONAID Day”? And everybody can post a can of chopped tomatoes, a packet of mince or frozen peas, as takes their fancy, to The Impoverished of Downing Street.

  6. I read that boy dave has joined the unholy alliance Of the creatures that wish to ban the BNP.
One can see his logic. A strong BNP = No more perks for his ilk. He may even have to send the misses out shopping with their own money. Blimey thats a bit to radical even for him don’t you think.
The next time any one of your friends or acquaintances asks about the forthcoming elections, wanting guidance May I humbly suggest.
Callmedave says “don’t vote for the BNP”
Serial dad Livingstone says “don’t vote for the BNP”
Boris Turkaman says “don’t vote for the BNP”
Even Broon the cloon says “Don’t vote for the BNP”
“Are you going to do as your told”?
Say this to them and ask them to pass it on to their friends also creating a kind of chain sound bite. In a world that now lives by sound bites I personally think this one is OK.

  7. As Brown et al spend our money on their own lavish lifestyles, many on low incomes now face further economic hardship due to the buffoons last stab in the back as Chancellor. The link indicates it has taken some Labour MP’s nearly a year to realise that many people are now financially worse off! Could it be there is an election soon! Vote BNP!

  9. The hypocrisy of these people is despicable.

Abject poverty is endemic in many parts of Africa. From personal experience, I know that many Africans (at all levels of society) strive to better themselves and are willing to do this by their own efforts rather than rely on humiliating aid hand-outs by patronising Western countries, most of which never reaches the very people it is intended to help. Yet our Government and the rest of the LibLabCon refuse to take us out of the EU and ditch its entrenched protectionism policies, thereby denying the developing world an opportunity to compete on equal terms by selling us food and raw materials and earn the wherewithall to better their lot in a proud, dignified manner.

How many times have we seen the liberal lefties infesting Parliament wringing their hands about world poverty, making us think it’s somehow our fault because of our colonial past? Yet what do they do about it – in reality, nothing which has any permanent effect.

Which brings me to the point of this comment – whilst these people feign concern at the appalling poverty in the Third World, apart from uselessly throwing (our) money at it they do nothing. Yet at the same time as banging on about the poor they are happy to indulge themselves by milking their allowances and expenses for all they are worth. Can’t they see the hypocrisy in this? OK, contrasting Third World poverty with MP’s greed may be a bit extreme – but on another, less dramatic level, their greed may be contrasted with the frugality with which many of our own citizens are obliged to live their lives – not life threatening like abject poverty, but the principle is the same and demonstates our MP’s callous disregard for the plight of people here and in the wider world.

Do any of these ‘Honourable Members’ feel any shame over their lack of integrity and basic morality?

    Their behaviour is thoroughly disgusting.

  11. Come on people it’s time to stand together, cross the line and have the guts to get rid of these thieving low life scum bags. They have no morals whatsoever. Why are we so slow in doing what’s right? No wonder our servants in govt. rule us so easily–they realise that we are a bunch of idiots! BNP 4 Me God Bless Them

  12. When most people had gone to bed, at around 0315 this morning, I was
able easily to access our website whereas all day yesterday it was
impossible. I thought at one time that this difficulty was the result of enemy sabotage but it now occurs to me that, if it were saboteurs, they would keep their hacking system running 24/7 would they not?

It now further occurs to me that this massive oversubscription to
our website more or less coincides with the launch of the Allowancesgate thread. Clearly the word has spread that the BNP website is the only place where people can find the news which the puppet media don’t want them to know, especially the gross extent to which the LibLabConEUIslamist party have been ripping them off all these years.

So now, it seems, everybody in the country wants to know, and have found that there’s lots more besides about which the puppet media have been keeping them in the dark. I have noticed, of late, a lot of new names among the people adding posts to articles.

I visit a lot of different websites on the ‘net and ours is the only one where you have to join a queue and wait for hours to get on. This suggests to me that even we may be surprised at the severity of the battering which the Statanic Tripartite is going to suffer at the coming elections.
