100,000 Leaflets: 250 Activists: The BNP’s Biggest Ever Push in London!

leafletting-team.jpgRain was no deterrent to around 250 dedicated BNP activists from around the country who descended on London for the first National Weekend of Action in support of Richard Barnbrook’s Greater London Assembly election campaign this past weekend.

Leafleting teams fanned out over much of our capital city, delivering an astonishing 100,000 “Londoner” leaflets over the two days.

This huge effort, unprecedented in nationalist politics, struck a terrific blow to the nay-sayers who would like to believe that the BNP is suffering from some type of internal trouble, or who would like to see the BNP’s campaign in London fail.

The turnout even exceeded lead candidate Richard Barnbrook’s expectations!

The first day began at the rendezvous point, with the various teams following a carefully planned and mapped-out programme developed by Richard and BNP elections guru Eddy Butler. Each leafleting team was given an area, specifically designed to maximise their time, and they set off, enthusiasm already apparent.

BNP chairman Nick Griffin also joined in the day’s leafleting exercise, with dozens of people recognising him in person and expressing their support. In fact, the amount of support given to the leafleting teams by the public - even in areas which traditionally would not have been fertile BNP territory, was astonishing, as confirmed by the report backs handed in at the end of the day.

The Saturday evening was marked by a mini organiser’s conference and rally, which was attended by 120 people. Speakers were Eddy Butler, Mark Collet (who introduced the new striking local election leaflet he has designed, which allows for even greater customisation for local areas), deputy party leader Simon Darby, training officer Arthur Kemp, and was ended off with a rousing speech from Nick Griffin, which was deservedly greeted with a standing ovation.

Sunday proved to be no less hectic, with teams going out to new target areas. Once again, the report backs showed overwhelming public support for the BNP, and a sure sign that one of the greatest political upsets in British history is set to take place on 1 May 2008.

* Richard Barnbrook is holding National Weekends of Action every month leading up to May, and leafleting teams will be out each and every weekend as well. Anyone wish to help is asked to contact Richard through their regional organiser.

  1. Fantastic response was received from the public over the 2 days and we struggled because so many people wanted chat to us on the way.

We was given Upminster to leaflet and we decided to make ourself visible by wearing BNP hi vis vests. All day long, horns were going off as passing motorists expressed their support and many passers-by signalled their approval of us being present in their community.

Upminster is a staunch Tory area with many expensive looking properties. When residents start calling out ‘thank you’ after you have put a leaflet through their letterbox, that’s a sign that times are definitely changing.

  3. Very special thanks to the teams who travelled very long distances to help our colleagues in London. I personally met up with activists from Cumbria, Durham, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Liverpool, South Wales, the West and East Midlands and the Home Counties. It’s always especially good to see people from places like Sedgefield and Burnley - to which others have travelled to help out in the past - returning the support by coming to activities like this. Best wishes to all, Nick Griffin.

  4. …and the Reptile squirmed in his lair, and hissed ‘I like this not. Rules will have to be changed. More gold must be demanded. Papers will need to be changed. State powers will need to be employed… ‘ Democracy only works when you’re winning, eh comrades?

  6. Hi Folks,

I had already heard that a sterling effort was made and that feedback was excellent. Well done to all participants.

I would like to comment on part of the report:

“In fact, the amount of support given to the leafleting teams by the public - even in areas which traditionally would not have been fertile BNP territory, was astonishing, as confirmed by the report backs handed in at the end of the day.”

I have seen this coming.. I can guarantee you that your targeting efforts should now be going for dispossessed Conservatives and the wealthy middle classes.

My area is rural and traditional, and consists of small town and farming fraternity, The “locals” and, on the other hand, very well off and middle class folks, both retired and working. We have an almost zero “ethnic” content in this area. You would not walk past the 6 properties in this tiny hamlet (2 farms, one ex-farm and 3 VERY expensive houses)and think “BNP supporters”, but three of those houses support the BNP. Two of those households have joined. My well off old mum is 100% supportive of the BNP. My dad (local Tory party member for around 25 years) is waivering… and there is HUGE discontent at branch level. My parents have been Tory voters all their lives. This is a tiny snapshot, but supporters of not just the Tories, but the supporters of “Old Labour” are sickened and depressed by what has been happening to this country, and are looking for another way. Focus your efforts on those folks. Get them on board. They have got the real money and if they think “their” country is at stake and that there is someone out there who is willing to defend it, they will donate to that worthy cause. Some of them will join.. you may have to find a larger venue for the Trafalgar Club next time around :^)

I am proud of every one of you. Keep up the good work. We want our country back.

  10. While I agree militant Islam is one threat to be wary of, I wholly disagree with the BNPs fear that Muslims are going to take over demographically, as implied by the front page of the leaflet above. Other than the East End, you don’t see many mullahs on the streets, or women wearing headcovering in most parts of the capital. But what you DO see are immigrants of every ethnic background appearing (particularly orientals) and the distressing sight of interracial couples. Many whites who remain in London are not staying loyal to their own kin, and this is a bigger threat to the cohesion of the indigenous community then Islam is.

  12. I enjoyed my leafleting in London, never have I had so much positive feedback from the public and I’ve leafleted in the NW, east and midlands. I would also like to thank Cllr Richard Barnbrook for putting us up in his house for the weekend, the pressure he was under was tremenous somthing you don’t see till you spend the weekend with him during somthing like this. A lesser man would have cracked long ago!

  13. I should have extended thanks in my previous comment to the dedicated BNP activists who took time to deliver leaflets in the London area. Well done for your great commitment during this critical hour of British and western history.

  15. There’s still a whole lot more work to be done and nobody within the BNP should consider this as job done! Those that can help should! London needs all the help it can get! To quote Edmund Burke ‘Evil succeeds when good men do nothing’! This is a fight with such vital importance attached to it and which has much wider ramifications that go far beyond the GLA elections.

  16. I was out leafleting today in Coulsdon [Croydon], & 2 people in a small road told me that they will be voting for us!

  17. Great campaign in London.I bet the other partys could not muster that many people to leaflet in one weekend.I also agree with Shropshire lass, there are huge ammounts of Torys and old Labour people out there who need a gentle push. When they realise they have been conned for decades by traitors masquerading as British politicians, they will come over in droves.

  18. ‘there are huge ammounts of Torys and old Labour people out there who need a gentle push.’ What’s wrong with thirteen million volts? HELLO POLLY! HELLO POLLY PARROT! WAKEY WAKEY!

  19. In the meantime those who seek to usurp the Party’s name, leadership positions and growing support amongst the electorate are nowhere to be found in this all-important battle for London.

While those that they so strenuously attack are in the forefront of the battle.

I think that really says it all but I would add that I hope, as no doubt we all do, that May 1st 2008 proves to be the BNP’s “end of the beginning.”

And May 1st will be an excellent date for giving ‘that other’ mayoral candidate a truly red nose!

  20. A great response from the only party which has the interest’s of the white British people at heart.
Its a pity that the BNP cannot get more TV/Radio publicity. I only hope that if the BNP gets a massive vote then the powers that be will have to listen. In the meantime the old foot slog method will carry on in its own assured way.

  21. Well done!
Looks like the message is starting to get through to the people of London. Hopefully there are enough real English people left there to gain the BNP a victory.

  23. I am truly excited to be reading this.

I didn’t think there was this much popular support in london! I really really hope that 2008 is the year for the BNP! If we can get London then that will be a great accomplishment in itself.

Vote BNP and lets have our country back.

  25. The most obvious indication of the growing popularity of the BNP is the increasing number of posters on the website.

24 comments (25 now) on this article alone, and only a few are from repeat posters. The establishment can say what they like, these facts are unimpeachable.

    London 2008, Britain 2010?
